The beach house and its location was beautiful. The beach was just steps away and there were lots of deck chairs to use for watching the waves. Communication regarding our reservation should have been better. When we arrived, we found out that the refrigerator wasn’t working (just the freezer but it needed masking tape for the door to stay closed) and the tv in the bedroom wasn’t working. I notified our host about them and he was already aware of the issue. I appreciate that he offered to send us another tv by the next day but that should have been already done if he already knew the issue. I wish he had told us in advance of our stay so we could have prepared for these inconveniences and focused on our vacation rather than problem solving like where to keep our perishable foods. We left early due to TS Alberto was coming and it was already causing the home to wobble (the hangers in the closet were swinging back and forth on their own). The host was made aware of the house wobbling and he conveyed that it would be addressed.

Our family had a comfortable stay and the house was appointed with everything we needed. The location can’t be beat…literally steps to the ocean!! John was a very thoughtful host and we hope to return in the future!

John's place is fantastic for hosting a group of 8! Everyone had their own beds and enough space. The outdoor decks are AMAZING and its right on the beach. Kitchen is fully loaded. Would stay again!

The house is a dream. If you love to wake up and have coffee on the deck next to the ocean, this is the perfect place. Choice of 2 decks. Almost a 180 degree view of the ocean. Roomy home (we had a family of 5). You can find a place out of the sun at any point in the day with the decks. Or just walk to the beach in 10 seconds.

The property is wonderful. Three levels of decks, wonderful front beach views, and walking distance to beach. Its what we needed to break away from the chaos of the city. Will definitely recommend.

The views from this beach house are incredible and is reason enough to rent this house! It is perfectly situated so the upper deck gets the morning sun but shaded in the afternoon- perfect for reading a good book while enjoying the sound of the waves. The outdoor shower and hose for rinsing sandy paws and feet was perfect. Although there was public beach access by the house, there was no car access so the beach wasn't super crowded. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a rack in the pantry to store groceries so cooking our meals wasn't an issue. Would definitely recommend!

This trip was to celebrate my son-in-law's 40th birthday. The trip included two grandmothers, our adult children and our two granddaughters, ages 8 and 5. What an incredible family trip! We were right on the beach! The four bedrooms worked perfect for our family. We then took a cruise from Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel. It was a first cruise for my daughter and granddaughters!

Property location was great. Could have used more toilet paper for 4 women. Overall enjoyed the stay.

I’ve been staying here for years. My home away from home

Myself and my family had an amazing stay over Christmas. The house and location were perfect, and easily fit 5 adults, a 13 year old and 2 small dogs. It will be a Christmas I’ll always cherish and a big part of that was our lovely stay. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This is a simple beach house that has all the comforts you need to enjoy the beach, plus the best view. There is a lot of outdoor seating and even covered decking for fun when it is raining. The only thing missing is beach towels so bring your own.

This is our 2nd time to stay at this beautiful home. So close to the ocean, the decks are wonderful.

We had a wonderful time. The only problem was that WiFi didn’t work, but we were outside most of the time anyway, enjoying the weather.

I love that this house is right on the beach.The multiple decks were nice to sit on and listen to the waves, relax, or eat a meal. There are many beach toys in the shed and the outdoor shower was nice to use after being at the beach. I would stay here again.

Just what we needed. Right on a beautiful beach, comfortable, easy access to Galveston without being in the noise and busyness of Galveston. Great interactions with the manager. Would definitely stay there again.

I started renting this house in 2020. Lots of work refurbishing. I love this house. Never stayed in August before. The ac keeps the house nice and cool. In fact it got too cold for me ☺️. I’ll be back in a couple of months.

The house has great air conditioning, which cannot be said for some of our stays in Galveston, and it was really hot when we visited in August.
