The house was spacious enough and comfortable for my large family. Plenty to do if you enjoy the outdoors. From hiking parts of the Appalachian trail to sitting by the fire....it was the perfect place to reconnect with my adult children.

Barry was communicative the whole way through and we had the information we needed for our stay ahead of asking. The property was very spacious with four large common spaces to enjoy and comfortable sleeping for 12 to have their own beds. The outside of the property had plenty of seating, a hot tub, and a nice fire pit area. I highly recommend this house for your next friends and family weekend!

Everything about the house was great. It was perfect for our family more than enough room. The house just needs a little TLC but other than that no complaints. Barry was very responsive, anything we needed he got to us right away. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for a long weekend in Feb. The house is in a great spot, only a minute or two from all the restaurants in Lake Harmony. It is a sprawling place, with lots of small/middle sized rooms to hang out in between the bedroom areas on either ends of the house. It had a *lot* of personality - this is no cookie cutter rental. Everything was clean and precisely as advertised. If I had one knock, it was that the heating throughout the house is a little uneven, primarily because many rooms/areas of the house have different heating systems. So these bedrooms have space heaters, then this other section has gas, etc. I think most of the time it would be a non-issue, but the weekend we spent was like single digits so it exacerbated the differences in the temperatures throughout. This was a minor nit though- we had a great weekend, and would definitely rent this place again.

Great property for large family, close to lake, lots for kids to

This was the extended family vacation of our dreams! The house was a great location, very comfortable and with tons of space (8 adults and 3 kids)! We were in walking distance to a family friendly lake beach, easy drive to different hikes every day, and enjoyed local ice cream/restaurants. The area above the pool table room was perfect for a young family (easily slept 5 with separate bathroom). We were sad to leave at the end of the week and are already talking about doing it again. House was in an excellent location and way bigger than expected and it was only around the corner from the beach !! Everyone was satisfied with there rooms because they were nice and big especially the rooms upstairs with the spiral staircases where a hit with my brother n laws . From the hot tub at night and sometimes in the morning we also enjoyed eating outside almost every night , the fire pit was a hit with my kids for roasting marshmallows and relaxing by the fire . watching the dear go by everyday was also a highlight for the kids. Game room was also a great spot to for us to play some pool and a nice round table close by where we played poker and some card games , all around we all had a great stay and Barry was easy to contact about anything and his response was always quick ! great neighborhood... were already talking about a next year trip !!!!

This house was a great place to stay in for our week getaway. Everything was exactly how it was shown/ expected. Spacious rooms for our larger group. Very close to the lake and hiking trails. The owner was very responsive and concerned for our enjoyment. We have some wonderful memories to take home with us. Thank you Barry for sharing your home!

Beautiful home in a beautiful community. The house was exactly as advertised. Barry was extremely attentive to all our needs during our stay. Any question we had he answered right away and even took the time to email us all the local attractions in the area. I was very pleased with everything and I would definitely recommend renting from him to all my friends and family!

The house is spacious and accommodates a good sized group. The yard is large and feels private even though there are other houses near by. The owner is very nice to work with. The house is in need of some TLC. There were little problems here and there that just weren’t quite right. (Moldy shower door, stained carpet, electrical outlet with insufficient cover, etc.). Also, to get to two of the bedrooms you have to walk through another bedroom so privacy is lost. It works if you are family, but it is not ideal.

Barry was very responsive and professionally from start to finish. His home was the perfect getaway my group wanted. It had plenty of space and is perfectly located with many near by activities. Half of our group went to Camelback to ski and the other half went to Ice Skate. That being said, we spent most of our trip just hanging out in the house relaxing. I plan on staying here again next year!

We had a great time staying at this property. It worked out great for us since my family is growing. We had 8 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. I liked the way there was a suite above the garage area and that my one daughter and her husband could stay with their two kids and feel like they had their own space. We rented this house for our family in town to celebrate a wedding. There were 10 of us and the house provided the perfect accommodations for our group. Spacious enough to give everyone some breathing room with large kitchen and common areas for gathering. Plenty of large screen TVs, bathrooms, 2 immaculate refrigerators, and overall very clean house. Owner was very responsive throughout the rental process. Would highly recommend. Just wish I could return during the summer!

After pouring over the options for vacation rentals in the Poconos, we selected this property for our family trip. Our group consisted of six adults, two toddlers, and an infant. This house ended up being a great fit, and that made for a really great week. To start with, the owner (Barry) was extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful, which really helped decrease the stress of figuring out our plans. Lots of bedrooms and sleeping options meant that we had plenty of room to spread out, and that basically anyone who wanted their own room or sleeping space could have it. The house was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make plenty of meals throughout the week. Most nights, we enjoyed the hot tub just outside the sliding door in the kitchen, and then a movie on one of the many flat-screened TVs throughout the house. Something we really appreciated was the ability to close the doors to the two separate second floors to keep the toddlers in sight. One thing to note though is that there is one or two steps separating many of the rooms on the first floor, so you still need to be careful with little ones (although ultimately it gave our 18-month-old a good opportunity to learn how to carefully go down steps; she was a pro by the end of the week). The neighborhood was nice--we went for several walks, including one down to look at the lake. The beach was closed for the season, but we found a stretch to dip our feet into the icy water and take some nice pictures. There isn't really any pedestrian-friendly path around the exterior of the lake, which I had kind of been hoping for, but there were so many nearby parks/hiking paths/etc. that it didn't make much of a difference. Over the course of the week, we made it to the indoor water park at Split Rock, the boulder field at Hickory Run State Park, the scenic train ride out of Jim Thorpe, the outlets in Tannersville, the Mohegan Sun Casino, and more. So that is to say, there is LOTS to do nearby. We typically do a beach vacation every year, but we'll give serious thought to heading back to the Poconos. And if we do, we will definitely stay in one of Barry's properties.

3 days wasn’t nearly enough time to stay in this wonderful home! The house provided our family with every amenity to provide comfort, fun and privacy! While we did not avail ourselves the hot tub or the grill, it was so lovely to sit outside on a cool, crisp starry, moonlit night wrapped in a blanket beside a warm fire in the firepit having a great time chatting with some of my family members. The house is quite large with designated areas to play pool, fuseball, card games as well as several distinct areas equipped with its own apartment like settings to sleep, converse, or catch up on much needed relaxation! Our family was fortunate in finding this home when looking for a weekend rental as we planned to attend a family wedding! Barry was wonderful in his quick response to any questions that we asked and the linens that we rented were of wonderful quality and smelled so clean and fresh too! The kitchen and pantry were fully stocked. There was even a large crockpot! 2 large refrigerators, a dishwasher and full sets of dishes including serving pieces and plenty of silverware. During the day, we enjoyed watching the deer grazing on nearby grass as they gracefully made their way around the surrounding properties. While the house is pet friendly there were no remnants of dog hair nor foul odors from any furry guesrts. I would recommend staying in this home for anyone looking to stay in a large clean fully equipped home in a great location! Thank you Barry for providing clear directions, instructions and expections while staying in your home. Mostly thank you for your hospitality and ready availability to our needs! House had everything we needed. It was great to have 2 refrigerators for 6 families. Family enjoyed the game tables. Area was quiet and nice for riding bicycles or just taking a walk. Enjoyed our wildlife visitors as well.

Recently stayed here with a group of 6 adults and 6 kids. The house could easily have held another 4-6 people. Everything was clean, TV's in almost every room, 2 large fridges, pool table, card table, a big grass back yard where kids played soccer every day, and a well kept up hot tub. Barry was in touch and made himself available for anything we might be needing. Walking distance to the Lake Harmony beach. There was a family crisis just prior to vacation date and Barry was very compassionate. He offered us many options if we needed to cancel our vacation. Thank you Barry.
