The apartment is on 1st floor with steep steps so need to be mobile if booking the apartment.

The property is in the perfect location. It was clean and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Rosa was amazing, she gave us excellent advice about our travel and sightseeing and saved us heaps of time!

There was nothing we did not like!

Rosa arranged a transfer from the airport for us and met us at the property which was very helpful and started our holiday on a good note. The apartment was very nicely decorated, comfortable and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The river views looking across to Vila Nova de Gaia were amazing and the pretty mountain garden at the back of the apartment was an extra bonus providing a quiet outdoor space. The Red House By The River is in easy reach of everything that Porto has to offer so a perfect choice for our holiday. Rosa provided us with a lot of useful information and recommendations. She can also arrange tours and trips if or you.. I definitely recommend the apartment with river and mountain views and would stay here again if we return to Porto

The home is very loved - unbelievable cared for! It is on the river - close for walking historical Porto and across the bridge to port wine cellars- Rosa took time to ensure our stay was wonderful- I only wish I could stay longer - Thank you

This was my favorite Place in Portugal, it checked all the boxes. View is breathtaking, it was very clean, Rosa was wonderful. The back of the house was amazing , very relaxing.

This is a really charming apartment located steps away from the Riberia/water front, could not be better. Rosa, our host, met us upon arrival and walked us through the property and gave us some great suggestions on restaurants and sites. She was also very responsive in answering any questions we had throughout our stay, she was wonderful. The apartment was really clean, very spacious and nicely decorated. The view of the river was great, we were able to walk the entire city from this location. It is mostly up hill to many of the sites and city center but it was a nice walk. The funicular is about 50ft from the front door, that can take you up part of the way. Would highly recommend!

There really aren't any negatives to this apartment, the only downside was the bed is a little uncomfortable/hard but that was it.

Location was perfect. Right along the Douro River but on the quiet side. A couple minutes walk to the main touristy area. Met by the Host who gave us a quick run down of Porto and suggested tours and even booked a tour for us so we could have more time exploring.

Location was great. You could walk to everything, Rosa the host is very nice, and will answer any of your questions promptly. Rosa makes every effort to help you with anything you might need!

The area outside could be updated, definitely the stairs are an issue if you have a bags , they are very very steep. Rosa did accommodate us with getting our bags up and down stairs so that was very nice of her! The couch makes into a bed and is OK, the bed in the bedroom is also just OK both should be updated to more comfort!

this house has incredible views of the river and bridge. it is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. the neighbourhood is lively and so close to the river area. there is an incredible bar only two doors down. take note of the stairs in the photo- they are steep, but it should not stop you from staying here.

very steep stairs up to the studio apartment which were a bit uneven in places due to their age so they felt a bit dangerous. these weren’t mentioned in the details. nowhere to leave luggage at the property before check in and after check out. no drawers for clothes storage.
