Great house beautiful pool and out door area. Lots of room. Fully equipped. Great communication before during and after our stay. Would highly recommend. (Lots of steps thought in the house)

Casa 72 is a beautiful home located 2 blocks from the beach, walking distance to town, fit perfectly 12 people, staff was super nice and a great place if you are a world nomad. I highly suggest you stay at this house. One of the most beautifulplaces I ever stayed. First I rent this house because I want it for Saturday the 03 April with more than 3 weeks in advance and I pick this house because for that day it wasn’t many houses available, a week before our trip they let me know that it was a problem with the app that supposed didn’t update and the house was already book for Saturday and I can used only on Sunday, they offer me 1 extra day because of the mistake, we accept it because I have no more options, them when we came to he house the pool was dirty and the house looks way way older than the pictures; the only good thing was that the men (Mr.Luis) is a really nice person he try to help us as much as he could.

I have stayed here before and I will be back. Dont be fooled by other rentals that are 500 yards from the beach. The hills are very steep. This place is right in town and you dont want to hike up a hill to go home.

We really enjoyed our stay at casa 72. The house is large and has lots of areas to relax and enjoy. Beautiful views of the bay. The town and beach are a 2 minute walk away. Luis, the caretaker was very helpful and easily accessible. Everything was great. We would definitely recommend for a large group.

This is my third time staying here and I can't wait for my fourth! The house is everything we could ask for and more! I have stopped looking for other houses in San Juan del Sur because I have no reason to stay anywhere else than here! Also, Luis (the caretaker) is fantastic! He is always available if you we ever need anything.

This property was truly perfect for our large group (6 adults, 3 kids and a baby). Simply put, every inch of the house is stunning, stylish and well-designed. The rooms are comfortable and kept cool with a/c and fans, and the kitchen is well-stocked with all the equipment needed to cool at home. Luis and his family were truly wonderful and always available when needed. Casa 72 is a treasure in San Juan del Sur and we'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Casa 72 had the perfect layout for our group of three couples. There were many seating areas, balconies, pool, bar-b-q and eating area outside in the shade, such that you could always find a quiet spot or gather as a group. Although the home is a little dated it was well looked after by the in house grounds keeper and his wife. They looked after all needs from water, clothes washing, even going to the market to pick up fresh fish for us for supper. You are close to all amenities and do not require a car for your stay. I would highly recommend Casa 72 for your vacation.

What a fantastic time our party of 4 adults and 5 children had during our stay at Casa 72. The house is stunning, the pool is splendid and I think a must if you go during the dry season as we did. Tons of space in the house for everyone. Was great that each set of parents and the children all had their own bathrooms.Luis, Darlene and their family are wonderful people and made us feel so welcomed and a part of their family as well. They even arranged a cake for us as three of our party had a birthday all on the same day. When we came back from being at the beach that day they had decorated the house for the birthday celebrations. Just such a great time. Would go back for sure !!!

This amazing house was the perfect setting for celebrating my wife's birthday with our kids and in-laws. San Juan del Sur is a charming genuine fishing village on the pacific coast and Casa72 is perfectly located to enjoy the local beach, restaurant and bar scene. The house keeper Louise and his family was very nice and helpful with information about local points of interest and activities. This is a place you will want to come back to!

Nos quedamos un grupo de 7 personas, super comodo, bien ubicado, seguro, super bonito, bastantes areas sociales, centtico ycon un staff insuperable. Dani nos cocino casi todos los dias a la parrilla, deliciiooosoooo!!! Super recomendado.

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine en famille. Grand-parents, enfants et la petite Summer (9 mois). La maison était parfaite pour nous et le serait aussi pour un groupe d'amis. Elle offre toute l'intimité nécessaire et de multiples zones détentes qui permettent à celui qui désire un peu de tranquillité de se retirer du brouhaha. La piscine est agréable et très bien entretenu sous les bons soins de Luis. La cuisine est bien équipée, il y a même une BBQ extérieur. La maison est très bien située en plein coeur du village et permet de tout faire à pied. Elle est bien sécurisée, il n'y a donc aucune inquiétude à avoir. Les démarches de location auprès du propriétaire Samuel sont faciles et il donne plein de renseignements utiles à la planification du séjour. Sur place, Luis et Darling sont présents en permanence afin de s'assurer de notre confort et veiller discrètement à ce que tout se passe bien. Merci Luis et Darling! Nous sommes allés à plusieurs plages très facilement avec notre petite voiture. Les plages environnantes sont belles et la plupart ont, quoique rudimentaires, des restaurants, bars et toilettes. Le village de San Juan del Sur est sympathique et truffés de petites boutiques et restaurants. Amateurs de grandes marques, restos 5 étoiles s'abstenir. Ce n'est pas ce genre de place. C'est assez modeste, mais c'est ce qui fait son charme. Par contre, si vous aimez le surf... qu'attendez-vous pour partir? La vie du village semble tourner autour de la longue planche! Bref, tout la famille a aimé son séjour, surtout Summer :)

Thank you very much for having us in your wonderful house. We all had a great time! Luis and Darling treated us like royalty. The food was amazing, Darling made us breakfast and dinner. The pool was fabulous too, we enjoyed the atmosphere and all the furniture. We felt very welcome and would love to return again!

If you're looking for a great house, right in town, with easy access to everything and it comes with a wonderful caretaker. Look no further. You've found the right house. Our family will be back for another great experience.

This house was great - we were all very pleased with our choice to stay here. The large airy rooms, pool, quirky-cool character, and on-site housekeeping were huge bonuses that exceeded our expectations going in. The house really is a couple of blocks off the beach and we were glad for that as it buffered us from the noise of the beachfront avenue. While the beach in SJDS was nice, the real gems are out of town. Remonso and Maderas were our favorite beaches although we didn't try Hermosa - it was closed because "Survivor" was being filmed there during our stay! The pool was perfect for our two young children and was impeccably maintained by Luis and his wife. Luis and Darlen were a wonderful addition to our experience at this house, as they looked out for our every need and were available around the clock. We weren’t sure how it would be to have staff share the grounds with us, but it ended up being an enriching experience. We took them up on their offer to cook for us on several occasions and were very pleased. Two highlights were a seafood feast of shrimp and lobster, and a traditional Nica meal including gallo pinto (fried beans and rice), maduros (cooked, soft bananas) and home-made tortillas. Better than the restaurants in town! We had a group of 8 and had more than enough room for us to spread out. We did have a rental car and it was convenient to have, although not absolutely necessary as there are shuttles heading out to the various beaches. Overall, I give this VRBO house my highest recommendation.

This was the best "home-away" that I have ever stayed at. I found it through the home away app on my iPhone and it is exactly what it looks like in the pictures. Actually, even better. Very clean, spacious and very cool architecture. It is a big house with a beautiful view of San Juan and the ocean. Perfect to see the sunset. It is located right downtown, without the feeling of being downtown. No noise, very safe with electric fence and not much traffic nearby. The caretakers of the house live there but you don't even know they are there. They clean and take care of the pool and garden. The owner is very helpful and speaks english and spanish fluently. I highly recommend this house to any family or a group of friends. I personally stayed there with 7 friends and had an amazing stay. I am planning another trip to San Juan Del Sur, just to stay here for a few weeks.

Casa Barreto is the most artistic and comfortable house in San Juan del Sur. Built by Sam Barreto, one of the best and creative architects of Nicaragua, this 5 bedroom, 6 story house is the best option for anyone wishing to spend a wonderful vacation in SJS. It is an art deco inspired house, built out of wood with large original windows, great open doors, multiple balconies, and great luminous spaces. It has four comfortable bedrooms with air-conditioning, and one small bedroom with a fan. Three modern bathrooms, a wonderful kitchen, a dinning room for 12, two living rooms, a bar, a small but delicious pool, and the best area of the house, a terrace with a sitting area under a wonderful tree. If you pay extra, Monica, the house keeper will cook for you the best fish in SJS. The house is two short blocks from the beach, in the heart of the town, so be prepared for some noise and activity, which in fact is part of the SJS experience. Be also prepared to go up and down the stair several times a day, excellent exercise for your legs. In closing, there in no better deal and a more original experience in SJS than Casa Barreto.

We were a bit worried booking the property as it didn't have any reviews but when we arrived, saw the place and met Samuel and Juan we were really happy we took the risk. Its an amazing house. The photos don't do it justice. Its spacious, is really well designed and 2 mins walk from the centre of town. Definitely recommended.
