The house was conveniently located close to town and we had everything we needed! View of the ocean is amazing! Would definitely come back!

Pros The house is old and quirky but the owners have done a great job of using space and making it an enjoyable place to stay at. The view is the absolute best, can't get much better. The kitchen is well stocked, and beds are comfortable. We stayed warm an cozy. Cons I didn't realize that Nye beach has a cliff between the beach and all the houses. You have to walk or drive into town to access the beach. I wouldn't put two adults in the first bedroom because the bed has to be pushed up to the wall so that you have a small walk space on one side.

I couldn't believe how wonderful this little house was. I felt like I was at my grandparents all over again, and that's a good thing! Every amenity you could need, hot shower, lots of sleeping space. No complaints at all, definitely on my return list!

We wish we could have stayed another night to sit in the living room and just watch the waves. This place is modest, you walk through the mudroom/laundry straight into the first bedroom and then bathroom to get to the main living room and kitchen. Still it had everything we needed and really comfortable full-size beds. The best part is you are a 5 min walk to Nye Beach and the view you have is just wonderful. Check in was easy, folks were very responsive. You aren’t going to get early check-in or late check out unless you pay extra, unknown $ as we didn’t see that offer until later. So keep an eye out for that option, if you want to go that route. I’d definitely stay again.

We had a great weekend on the coast. The views were amazing, the location was perfect, and the house worked well for our needs. It’s a bit cozy but it was fine for the four of us. I would stay there again.

Older cottage with smaller bedrooms but everything was clean and well appointed. Living area was a nice size and very comfortable. Great views, even with terrible weather. Easy access to Nye Beach are.

Great location with beautiful views out the picture window. We were there during a storm, so the winds were gusting, which made the cozy feel all more quaint. There is a walking path directly in front of the property aling the west side, so you'll see a lot of people and pets enjoying a stroll. Wish we could have stayed longer. Note: bring your own coffee and mixers for coffee or tea as there was none at the time of our stay. I did bring my own as I reached out to Vacasa with the question and received a generic answer, which I interpreted to be that the coffee, tea, other creature conforts of the kitchen are not included. Renters be prepared to bring your own. Would definitely stay here again.

Small and quaint property with incredible picture window looking directly onto the ocean. Coastal decor throughout. Kitchen nicely equipped with all the basics. Easy walk to shops and restaurants in Nye Beach as well as beach access. Contacted property management upon arrival about a few small things and response was adequate. Perfect for our family of four for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Located ocean front and out of the tsunami zone, this house was the perfect escape for a long weekend with my kiddo.

Big windows with ocean view

We had a great time. This property is in a awesome location with an absolutely gorgeous view. We had 5 people staying so had to use the pull out sofa couch. It was a little uncomfortable, however the location and view made up for it. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the view of the ocean from the front porch and living room! While a bit small it worked for me, my mother and 2 sister's. The reason for less than 5 stars was it could use updating the interior. It had everything we needed in kitchen and supplies. Parking was easy in back of house. Very close walking distance to great restaurants- Chowder Bowl, Cafe Stephanie, Nana's were a few we loved.

Cute little quirky house right on the water! The views were amazing! You can see the lighthouse from the front room. The only thing that was disappointing was the access to the beach was a bit of a walk, but this is definitely a place we would stay again!! Loved it!! Also parking is in the back.. it was a little confusing but we figured it out!

Beautiful unobstructed view of the ocean from the top of the cliff. 2 minutes walk to the nearest coffee shop. Private road with no through traffic. Very relaxing!

We very much enjoyed our stay! We would come back in an instant. The house is a cozy and quirky beach house. It could use a deep cleaning, but it was neat and today when we arrived and in good shape. The house is well stocked and you cannot beat the location.

The cottage at Nye Beach (Newport OR) was just as described in the listing. This property is managed by VACASA. They were very efficient with text and email communication. The cottage is a perfect size for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Kitchen fully equipped with a nice dining table. Bedrooms are small but adequate. The best part of this place are the picture windows facing the ocean. As we were there in early spring it was cool out so sitting by the windows watching the ocean and sunset were excellent. Nye Beach has many shops, coffee houses and restaurants, all within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay.

Time away

This home has all you need plus a million dollar view! I could sit and watch the waves come in for hours. It is a quick walk to Nye Beach for great food choices and shops.

We loved spending the night in the cozy Nye beach retreat! The views were awesome, especially watching the sunset from the deck and inside from the big windows. Plenty of bedding available to use for comfort on a cool night. The house was available for early check-in which was a bonus! Plenty of cooking tools to make meals at the house. My daughter enjoyed borrowing the sand buckets and looking through the games provided. Would have loved to stay longer!

We had a lovely weekend. Great view and an easy walk to the Nye Beach shops and restaurants. The beds run to the firm side would be my only complaint.

One of the main reasons to book this property is the view. For some, it will be the only reason. The view out of the front windows is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the windows were filthy, and I mean filthy. The view was obstructed so much by how dirty the windows were, that my wife and I decided to clean them ourselves. It made a big difference. It's pretty clear they hadn't cleaned the windows in weeks if not months. I'm talking about the outside of the windows but the inside were dirty as well. With this type of a property where the view is the selling point, it's inexcusable that they aren't cleaning those front windows at least once a week, if not between guests. Having said that, the place is dated but well kept. Everything else was clean and the place was well stocked. The location was central to all we wanted to do in Newport. Note: While the view is great, there is no direct beach access from the unit. You're going to have to walk or drive for that. Not a problem for us as we understood that before hand. All in all, great place. Just bring your window cleaning gear.

The location was ideal. A beautiful, unobstructed view of the gorgeous Pacific! Two of the most beautiful sunsets we ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The home was well kept and the beds were very comfortable. The only negative was the size of the bedrooms, and the location of the second bedroom with access through the bath to the remainder of the home. The small rooms were only a problem due to my wife's claustrophobia, however, we made it work. Overall a great place.
