We were visiting our new grandson and chose this house for the location. It was 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. The house was spacious for the 6 of us. Plenty of towels, comfy beds and pillows. Many warm throws to snuggle under. The backyard was nice to use when we had a few really warm days. Grocery stores were a short drive. Jeff responded very quickly to the few questions we had. Nice perk are the 2 parking spots directly in front of the property. We enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Everything is good about the house and area. Only problem i had was that thermostat.

The stay was great easy access to where we needed to be place was nice and plenty of room. Enjoyed our stay . Would stay again and recommend

Nice hottub in back as well as comfortable and relaxing seating areas. House is on busy street but noise greatly reduced in back yard.

This house met all our needs and was close to everything we wanted for our summer vacation. The back yard was the best and provided a lot of fun.

The location was amazing! No more than 30 minutes to get to any of our locations. The grocery stores and food options were very close to the home. The house is spacious and the back yard was very cozy. It was great for our bachelorette weekend. Would definitely recommend and would probably stay here again if it’s available!!

It was perfect for all of us. Nice and open, beds for everyone. Loved our stay. The hall bathroom needs a exhaust fan, other than that it was awesome. We will stay there again. Thank You

Overall the property is in great shape. Little things like the ice maker not working and not having any spices/condiments for cooking was an inconvenience but that is probably a COVID thing. All in all it was much cheaper than the downtown hotels and more convenient to get around the area from.

Everything was as described. We were comfortable and peaceful. Walked for food and groceries.

The house was very comfortable for our 6 adults. Host was very responsive to the couple minor issues that came up. Location was easily accessible with nearby grocery and restaurants. Used the hot tub pretty much every night but wish we had brought our beach towels.

The place was a great stay only issue was there was only like 2 bags to trash can more would be nice to have. The restroom by kitchen had a weird smell, smelled like a dead rodent not sure since the entrance to attic was there

This home was absolutely delightful. Plenty of rooms for the 5 of us, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and couches and a lovely backyard area. Note that there is another couple in the backyard rental, but we rarely saw them, and the hot tub had mold growing in it, so it wasn't usable, but the owners were quick to take a look and make plans to take care of it once we pointed it out to them. The location was great and we were just minutes away from all the activities we engaged in during the week.

The property was nice, open space and the bedrooms were adequately spaced throughout the home. Here is where I had several problems: in the listing it clearly states there is a room in the back available for rent as well, it does not mention there are people living there, so we were very uncomfortable with using any of the amenities in the backyard. (Grill, hot tub, hammock).The property owners were outside in the back during the day(they were cleaning or moving things around) and I just did not like that, we rented the house to have privacy but it didn’t feel that way. The home is on a busy street so if you have kids I wouldn’t advise staying here. Several homeless in the area and parking is limited to exactly 2 compact cars. Lastly, there is no caulking in the around the kitchen sink or in the shower so you can see some mold already forming. Property was nice, if you don’t mind sharing it

Can’t say enough about the weekend we spent here. The house was in great shape and we were close enough to all the things we wanted to do. I would definitely stay here again.

This house was centrally located to different things we wanted to see around the San Diego area. Close to stores and freeways. We took our dogs on the Mt. Helix trail a few times, and the house was only about 10-15 minutes away from the beaches and downtown. The house has plenty of space inside, as well as a nice yard in the back that includes a barbecue, hammock, patio furniture and a hot tub. The yard extends into a couple of terraced gardens that have a large chess set and a corn hole set. Great location, plenty of space, pet friendly and lots to do. We would definitely recommend this property!

I stayed here with my husband, my parents, and my two young children. The house is located right on university ave, but it was surprisingly very quiet inside. The house had a great layout- grandparents stayed in the front of the house and my family (with 2 young children) stayed in the back of the house, separated by the kitchen and living room. I would recommend this home to people traveling with families for sure!

Easy to get to and great parking. The house was bigger than expected. The dining area looked like it might fit 4 people, but it fit all 10 of us. Plenty of space for us all to watch a movie together, or hang out in the back yard. The hot tub was used every night - it was clean and relaxing. There were a couple small issues, I just messaged the owner and they were promptly taken care of. Great communication! Kitchen had what we needed for cooking and eating. TP was the good stuff!! Easy check out. Close to what we wanted to do and see, so driving around was short and sweet. We will be back!

Place was clean , nice and secluded. Very spacious with everything you can possibly need . Anytime I’m in San Diego I will stay here . Oh and owner was also communicated very well and in a timely matter !

The owner was very friendly. Had a problem with the air and he fixed it immediately! The house was nice and had the plenty of things to do while there. The house is on a busy street but the backyard is perfect to relax and have fun. He was very friendly and when I asked even extended my check out time. He recommended so great places to visit. The house was a great experience and I would definitely book it again!

this property was perfect for our needs... it accomodated 4 children and 6 adults very nicely. although from the outside the house looks small, there is a suprising amount of room! the only disappointment was the hot tub was broken but the owners had someone working on it, trying their best to make it work for us. although it just missed being fixed in time for us, the host graciously sent us a small reimbursment as the hot tub was one of the items we had chosen the property for! the back yard has lots of fun activities and it's quite pretty... a hidden gem off a busy street! the location was extremely convenient too! On a scale of 1-5 I'd give it a 4.5. We'll definately use it again the next time a large crowd comes to visit :)

Our family had a wonderful time at this location. It was very comfortable and spacious. The foosball table and hot tub were well used. On the day of our arrival the hot tub was serviced by a local vendor and was extremely clean!

Seven of us stayed in this house, and it was perfect for our family. There are two separate seating areas, so the kids had a place to go. The backyard was very nice, as well. The beds were comfortable. The location is very convenient.

We just got home from a fun family vacation. This house was in a great location. It was really close to everything that we did. Like SeaWorld and OldTown. The owner responds very quickly and was very helpful with questions we had. But there were definitely more cons than pros. It was not as clean as I would have liked. The whole house truely needs a deep clean. The floors were vacuumed in the main walk says. But that was it! The couch had hair on it. The beds in all rooms were very uncomfortable. They creeped a lot. The pillows were all flat. Some of the pillows shams were soiled! The bunk bed was especially bad. Any movement and it creaked. It should truely be replaced. The pink bedroom smelt like smoke even though it said no smoking was allowed in the house. The kitchen microwave and fridge was gross. We had to clean them before use! The bathrooms were gross! The floor needed mopped. Their was hair on the shower walls. There were long strands of black hair on towels. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy. Overal the house did it’s job. We had a place to sleep and stay. But just needs some TLC.

This house has potential if carpets are professionally cleaned and mattresses are replaced with mattress covers added. In full transparency, I provided the owners my feedback separately as our group decided not to stay after the first night (we had rented it for 2 nights) due to the smell/cleanliness. The owners were nice to work with and they did provide us a partial refund because of our experience. My recommendation before renting would be to check with the owner to ensure they've taken care of the carpet/mattress issue. In looking at the previous reviews- this was also mentioned back in November. Otherwise- house is as described.

When we arrived, the home felt very home-y and welcoming. It was spacious and provided much better basic amenities than other places I have stayed in the past. The home is right off of a busy road and offers two parking spots. They have blinds that help block the busy traffic. It settles down at night time, we didn't have any issues with location. After settling in, it was pretty clear the floors had not been vacuumed and if they were- not very well. Asked for the vacuum to clean up crumbs in one spot and I ended up vacuuming the entire house and it picked up a lot of stuff. The tubs were not cleaned (yes, they have a nasty grimy film) and one of the rooms smelt like an animal peed in it and they tried really hard to cover it up with perfume. Unfortunately, it didn't work after opening the windows cause the perfume was very overwhelming. The tubs had issues plugging and retaining water for a bath for my little ones, the owners were very prompt to fix this issue the next day and attempted to reclean the pee spot in the coral room, still didnt work and the room stank the entire time we were there. They continued to tell me that no animal was there with the last tenants. It really sucked having to come home and sleep in a room that really stinks. The house really needs the carpet replaced, it would look a million times better with that simple(but costly, I know) fix. The carpets are really really worn out, it really brings down the value of the home a lot. The rest of the rooms were nice. I would recommend a deep clean by a professional cleaning service and cleaning the vents where the fans are A LOT of dust in there. Another recommendation would be to get mattress covers for each bed. The sheets were really thin and they really smelled bad and the mattresses smells bad as well due to no protector, kinda gross, in my opinion. The owners were very friendly and we did not have any issues with them at all- they were very quick to reply to messages and fixing the tub issue. The backyard was beautiful even though we didn't really get to enjoy much of it.

My boyfriend, our 3 kids and my moms stayed here for a long weekend. There are really no complaints. Everything was nice and comfortable. My stepmom actually fell during our last night at the boardwalk and ended up needing to be seen at the ER for a while, and Jeff was actually gracious enough to extend our check out time the next day to allow more time for us to get around and pack up. My boyfriend also left a new hat he had bought behind and they shipped it out to us and got it back within the week. Will definitely will be contacting them again for our next trip to SD!

This house is very comfortable and convenient for a small stay in the area. Food and fun are all less than 15 minutes away although we didn’t indulge as we were in town for a wedding. The home is located off of a busy road but it wasn’t very loud. I would suggest messaging Jeff ahead of time for phone contact information so that you are able to get the necessary information to enter the home. Other than that, the home is very spacious and comfortable for lounging.
