Villa Estrella Mar is incredible. I booked this place with some friends due to its numerous rooms and prime location near the Puerto Vallarta main strip. We originally thought that we would be going into town every day or at least hitting the main beach for some drinks and sun, but this was not the case. The Villa could not be in a better location (5 minute walk from the malecón/nightlife, 10 minute walk from the main market, but far enough removed so that you do not hear any of the PV chaos late into the night) but, the Villa was so serene we ended up enjoying our time by the pool or on one of the many balconies that overlook the bay. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food is delicious. The property itself is pristinely manicured with purposeful landscaping and interesting art. My wife and I lucked into the Master Suite. It is impossible not to be full on vacation mode when you wake up to the tinted pink horizon, the sound of waves crashing on the beach, the ocean breeze blowing in from the expansive balcony. I am telling you, the openness of the suite fulfilled my wildest imagination of what a Mexican villa would be. This place is one of a kind. I will be back. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

The house is incredible with scenic views sprawling over 4 or 5 floors. The staff is sensational; they pay close attention to every detail and go above and beyond to ensure your comfort and happiness. The city is just a few minutes walk, but far enough to be removed from any noise or business. This is an excellent place to escape, feel pampered, and appreciate the natural beauty and culture Mexico has to offer.

If you are reading this review, go for it and treat yourself with this villa! We went as a large group and everything about the house and staff was utter perfection -- from the layout of the house, to the views, to the meals and the delicious cocktails! Everything was an incredible experience and definitely one I hope to repeat. Also, the activities suggested by Jordan were so helpful and I especially loved the massages that she had scheduled where someone came to the villa!

Paco, G, Humberto, chef Lupe and the rest of the staff are amazing. The meals they created were fabulous. They are very flexible and go out of their way to do whatever is needed to keep all the guests happy. Also, prior to our stay there, Jorden the property manager was very responsive and very helpful in helping us make all sorts of arrangements for our wedding as well as renting baby gear for the grandchildren etc. During our stay the waves crashing on the rocks were loud for sleeping but the staff is aware of that and there are disposable ear plugs in the bedside stands.The place is spotlessly clean with cleaning staff taking care of every room daily.I would highly recommend Villa Estrella Mar to anyone or any group considering a visit to Puerto Vallarta.

This is a simply amazing property! It is ideally located a short walk from the old town and steps from the sea. The views are wonderful. The property has the best staffing we've ever encountered and were professional and caring. The property is immaculate inside and out. We mostly ate in because the food was so good!

We loved Villa Estrella Mar! The floorpan cannot be beat. The location is perfect, just close enough to the action yet private at the same time. Only things to keep in mind are additional costs while on property and arranging staff as you need. We would definitely stay again and know several of our guests hope to return some day.

We had a group of 15 stay at Villa Estrella Mar for my husband's 60th birthday. From the first time I contacted Jordan until the moment we left, everything was superb. I am a planner and had many questions for Jordan before our arrival. I wanted everything to be perfect for my husband's birthday. Jordan was informative, patient and very generous with her time. When we arrived at the Villa, all I can say is WOW! The house is absolutely stunning. The main floor with the living room and kitchen is spacious with several different seating areas and a cool breeze blowing through the house. The bedrooms were also gorgeous. The Master suite and Jr. Master Suite are regal and grand. And the four other suites were also beautiful - very grand and spacious in their own right. We stayed in the Master and I can say that I would have been very happy in any of the other 5 rooms. The only one with a different feel is the twin room - quite a bit smaller though still with a balcony overlooking the pool. This would be perfect for kids, or fine for a single person. The staff really made the stay special. Paco was so helpful, patient and kind. Gibran was wonderful as well and Lupe's meals were delicious. We ate at the Villa every night and morning which is so much nicer for a large group than venturing into a restaurant. The breakfasts were my favorite, especially the french toast. And every meal we had was so delicious. There were many other staff members around as well who were so gracious - Arturo and others who were quietly cleaning the rooms and doing maintenance of the property, in a very non-obtrusive way. There were even some men taking down some coconuts on a nearby tree for maintenance, and when they were done, the brought the Coconuts to us with a straw to drink the Coconut water. Another nice touch, just to give you a feel for it, was every night during dinner, they would quietly go into each room, close all the blinds, and turn on the AC, so when you went to your room at night it was cool and ready for a good night's rest. The pool was heated the the perfect temperature so we could languish in it for hours. We even went swimming at night after dinner. The more adventurous ones in the group walked down to the beach a few steps below and went for long swims over to the pier during the day. Many in our group were already talking about returning next year. This is an outstanding place for a family reunion or other group gathering.

First off, Jordan was extremely helpful and responsive to all my questions about the property before booking. Jordan also helped coordinate transportation and food, prior to our arrival. This coordination took all the planning out of our trip, which made a stress free vacation. I read several reviews about the villa, before I booked. A number of guests complimented Paco and his staff. After our stay, I can confirm all of the positive comments were legitimate. They truly went above and beyond to meet our needs. Whether that meant delaying breakfast, running to the store for more drinks, or making dinner reservations, they did it all. Plus, the food was better at the villa than in town! Lastly the location just can't be beat. The views were incredible, the pool was perfect, the beach was great, and downtown was just a 5min drive. All of my guests were absolutely blown away by everything the property had to offer. This was like any other vacation I have ever booked. It convenience, luxury, and relaxation in one package. I will definitely be making another trip back. Trip of a life time!

On my second trip to Puerto Vallarta, I had the privilege to stay at Villa Estrella Mar. WOW! Immediately after walking through the front door, I knew I was in paradise. No matter where I was in the Villa, I was blown away by a gorgeous view of the ocean. Can we talk about the food? Delicious! As someone with dietary restrictions, the staff was so wonderful with accommodating my needs. I still dream of how good the french toast was at breakfast! Jordan was fantastic! Before the trip, she suggested fun excursions for our group of 15 people to do. My favorite was a snorkeling trip and hiking to a waterfall. Lastly, the Villa was a perfect distance to town. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Which was great when I was ready for a cool down after walking around town and wanted to jump in the pool! Can’t wait to book next years friends getaway!

We stayed at Villa Estrella Mar with a group of friends and it was such an fantastic experience and vacation for everyone! The location is perfect and feels secluded even though you're just a short walk from Old Town via the beach or cobble stone street. The Villa staff is wonderful and the meals, OH the meals!!! I'm still day dreaming about all of the delicious food we ate and drinks we enjoyed by the private pool. The rooms are VERY spacious and the beds are comfortable. I've been to Puerto Vallarta many times and this is by far my favorite place to stay! Jordan was a dream to work with on booking this property. She is very organized and responsive. I'll definitely be doing more business with her.

I highly recommend this villa to all! From the moment I became in contact with Jordan she was the most organized and helpful person when booking the house. She helped answer all my questions so when I arrived I knew what to expect. The house itself doesn’t need much explanation as you can see from the pictures of how beautiful it is. What made the trip was the staff. The meals they cooked were delicious and they helped us out with everything from cabs to buying more beverages for the group. Can’t say enough about how good my experience was and would recommend to anyone looking to go to puerto Vallarta.

Villa Estrella Mar is by far one of the best vacation destinations I have experienced. After having been to Puerto Vallarta many times over the years, I didn’t think it could get any better. Boy was I wrong! Villa Estrella Mar far surpassed my expectations. The property beautifully represents the best in authentic decor, the staff masterfully provides for every need while having fun with the guests, and words cannot do the views complete justice. You have to experience Villa Estrella Mar to fully understand how magical it is. Have some coconut shrimp and a frozen margarita by the pool, you’ll be in heaven!

Best. Vacation. Ever. Staying at Villa Estrella Mar is an experinace that is second to none. The villa itself is stunning and spacious. We stayed there as a group of 17, but never felt like we were on top of each other because the rooms offer so much privacy. However, there are several spaces where we could all sit together as well. The food was exceptional and Paco & his team was always there when you needed them for a margarita refill or to help you call a taxi. My favorite detail was that when we returned to our room at night, the staff closed up all the shutters at dinner, so our room was nice and cool! Sleeping was a dream & I wanted to take the sheets home with me! As far as location goes- I have visited Puerto Vallarta several times, and have stayed everywhere from the Resorts in the North to the more inland streets of Old Town. On a map Estrella Mar looked a little “off the trail” but was pleased to find that it is a quick walk into town on the streets, or even via the beach! A $3-ish dollar cab ride will take you into town- Much more convenient than staying in one of the resorts up north. If you want to go beyond booking accommodations, book a whole experience at Estrella Mar.

Where to start with Villa Estrella Mar? This is the most beautiful property I have vacationed, the views are stunning, and the location is full of gorgeous artwork. I stayed with a group of friends where we had the time of our lives. Every need and more was met by the staff with hand crafted cocktails, amazing food, and laughs. Jordan made great recommendations for adventurous activities, shopping, and wonderful restaurants that were just a short walk up the beach from the villa. We had such a wonderful time and experience at Villa Estrella Mar that I am having a hard time adapting back to normal life at home! I can not recommend this place enough, I’m already trying to get enough family members together so we can go back.

Villa Estrella Mar is beyond words. From the private location, the isolated beach out front, the friendly staff, to the gorgeous views, everything about this place is amazing. My wife and I stayed here for half a week as part of a group of friends renting the entire villa for the week. We had the full meal service, and everything was fresh and delicious. The housekeeping was like a team of ninjas - you hardly saw them, but everything was cleaned and spotless before you knew it. During dinner there's a turn down service where they close all the shutters and kick on the AC's so the rooms are ready to sleep in at the end of your day. The pool is great and a welcome freshwater option to lounge your day in or around - it's the perfect temperature for cooling off but not ever becoming cold. The beach access is great - it's flanked by two rocky points, keeping it quite private and providing some neat tide pools for exploring and snorkeling. Access to town is just a short walk down the road, or the staff will gladly call you a taxi to get you wherever you'd like to go. The rooms are beautifully decorated, open layout, each with a patio for taking in the views. The master suite is awe-inspiring, with the best views in the entire villa, and basically taking up the entire top floor. Since the villa is on a hill, there's two elevators to get you up and down, so stairs are never much of an issue. I could go on and on about the villa - it really is worth every penny and more.

What can I possibly say to summarize our experience at Estrella Mar that could convey how amazing it was? The location was perfect. The staff was phenomenal. The villa has more to offer than we ever expected. What a perfect trip for our large group. From the moment we first walked onto the veranda during sunset to the last person on the taxi back to the airport, Paco and company were there to help with everything but not in a bothersome way. They perfectly balance being present to run this amazing facility but not intrusive so that you feel like it is just your group. This is a very open classic villa floor plan with many stairs and open windows. Most days there is a breeze that would flow thru most rooms and at night they would close up the rooms and turn on the AC units and the rooms were very comfortable quickly. The walk to old town is super simple along the beach from the locked gates. The semi-private beach gets a few people during the heat of the day but there was always room for us. In the water there was lots of fish, sting rays, and jelly fish and a few of our group had stings, but these were not very painful and within an hour they were gone. A few of the beds were a little more rigid than our group was used to. A few people got no-see-um bites near their ankles and for the life of us we could never find out where they came from. We did see a couple mosquitoes but these were fairly rare, but about half of our group said they got a bite at one time or another. So whether you just want to sit in a chair and spend the day reading a book and listening to the surf or want to have a pool party with some music, Villa Estrella Mar has it covered. We made some great memories that will be with us a long time.

16 of us just spent a week at Estrella Mar and had an incredible time. The food was fantastic. I cannot believe the selectaion and quality of food that Lola and Lupe were able to deliver. We gave them a standing ovation every night. Order the fish with potatoes for one of your dinners, as well as the Conchinita Pibil - you won’t be disappointed. We ate at several nice restaurants - La Palapa, etc..., and the food at our house was on par or better than any restaurant that we visited. Plus, the 16 of us would spend the evening around the dinner table and enjoy the view and sunset from our own home. The staff was friendly and more than willing to help. They helped us with everything from arranging airport transportation to setting up a birthday surprise party. Paco will be your lifeline. He will give you advice on what to do, recommendations for places to go, and logistical suggestions on how to get there. The house - there are very few houses that could compare to Estrella Mar. it is so big that it will take you a few days to find all of the rooms. It is enormous and authentically decorated. It is like you have moved into an art and sculpture gallery for a week. The staff keep the house perfectly clean, which is a feat given its size. The whole house opens up so you can see the view, which is simply breathtaking from every balcony, the living room and the dining room. The only challenge we had was because the house opens up so much, that if there is a heat wave the air conditioners cannot keep up. Our stay had an unusual level of high heat and humidity, but if you take a cool shower before bed you will be fine. The location could not have been better, it felt secluded, yet if you walk 150 yards you will be at the beach clubs (but you cannot hear them or anything else). In short, we cannot recommend Estrella Mar, the incredible staff, and the very response owner highly enough. If you are on the fence, BOOK IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

We just spent 5 amazing days at Villa Estrella Mar to celebrate my husband's birthday with a large group of family and friends. From the beginning, Jordan was very attentive to all my questions and responded quickly to all my emails. She managed to answer all my questions throughout the whole process. The Villa itself is gorgeous and it had plenty of room and areas for us to all gather and relax. You can't beat the location and the views...breathtaking!! We were all so impressed and extremely happy with the service the entire staff provided throughout our whole time there. They were so attentive and genuinely nice people who want to make your trip the best experience ever. They even accommodated us with a crib and high chair for our son. The meals were all very delicious and were made with high quality food. You can tell the chefs take great pride in their meals and food presentation. It was so nice to be pampered throughout the day with chips, guacamole, salsa, quesadillas, margaritas and piña coladas! It was truly a magnificent Mexican vacation! We were so sad to leave and we hope to return one day!

This place is beyond amazing. I have never experienced a place like this before. Its 100x more breathtaking in real life than in the pictures! Amazing architecture, the best views, outstanding service, great location, and food that's to die for.

This property is absolutely spectacular: the views, the food, the staff, everything was perfect! Plenty of privacy but just a short, scenic walk into Old Town. The photos are beautiful but experiencing it first hand is even more incredible. You won't want to leave so I suggest a long stay!

Absolutely loved my stay at the Villa this October. Everything about this place is amazing! The rooms are unbelievable with ocean views and decked out with art and character. The staff was wonderful, serving delicious food and great margaritas, and also helping us to book all of our activities in town. The location is great too, just a quick walk into town. I can't wait to come back here!

I would award ten stars if possible. The beauty of the setting and the Villa left my friend and I speechless. The grounds were lush and beautiful and impeccably cared for. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and the beautiful dining room setting made it even more appetizing. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It's a treasure, we had a fabulous time.

Estrella Mar is absolutely the most beautiful place to stay in Mexico! Its authentic decor, spaciousness, friendly staff, and great food made our stay so relaxing and fun! Steps to the beach, and walking distance to restaurants and shops, its perfect! Such an incredible place to stay, the pool area is beautiful with all the Palm trees, plants, and garden statues, what's not to like about having Margaritas at noon poolside with authentic appetizers! The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable, so peaceful and amazing! Very Clean! Loved it! Can't wait to go back!

We loved every minute of our week long stay at Villa Estrella Mar! The beauty of the surroundings is stunning. Each suite is unique and offers a comfortable retreat. We liked the location because it was an easy walk to downtown, yet just far enough away to be private and peaceful. You could spend a week there and easily never want to leave the property. The staff was warm and attentive to our every need and the food was amazing--especially the French Toast!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Villa in June 2013 and it was an incredible experience. Photos, while amazing, cannot do justice to the true experience of being there. It is absolutely beautiful. The accommodations are comfortable and casual: conducive to a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. And the staff is simply great and left us wanting nothing. Villa Estrella Mar is a unique property that is hard to put into words: you have to see it to believe it.
