Hosts were excellent as was management staff. Upon arrival in the unit the management staff was working on fixing the dishwasher and said they got it working and showed my son how to use it. We tried using it on Wednesday but it wouldn’t work. Management staff came to the unit and tried to fix it but they were unable to do so and deemed it inoperable. So no dishwasher while we were there. Also on Wednesday we tried to use the washing machine but couldn’t get it to work. Management staff got it working but when we tried to use it again on Friday it was not working so called Managenent staff to advise. Still not working when we left. When we arrived Managenent staff was trying to get the tv in the bedroom working but they were unable to do so and said they would look for a new part over the weekend. On Monday they said the tv was inoperable and it had to be replaced and would contact the owner to get approval to get a new tv. Please note this was an old small tv-nothing fancy. Late on Tuesday they arrived with a new tv which has no cable connection. Hard to understand this. Also, where the living room tv is concerned there’s very limited cable service. The dresser in the second bedroom had no runner’s on it and flopped out when trying to use it. The second bathroom is dark with only ceiling lightening, and lighting is not much better in it master bedroom which has a dresser lamp on the counter top to assist with lighting. We reviewed our concerns with the management staff as they spent a lot of time in the unit while we were there. This could be the very best until in the development as it has great views but needs updating. Tonya and Sally, along with the Managenent staff, and all of the staff at Luna excellent! Sorry to write such a negative review about the unit itself.

Condo was perfect. On the beach ; a block from 5th avenue shopping; great staff working; used Jaime as driver and he was super!

We loved our stay at Luna Encantada! The condo has incredible views and is in a perfect location, so close to everything. We didn't have to use a taxi for anything, yet the condo was nice and quite. We loved all of the space in the condo and on the huge balcony and rooftop areas. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need for dishes, and came with drinking water as well. We watched the fire shows at the beach restaurant every night from our balcony and it was a huge hit with our kids. We were able to walk down the steps in the mornings and have coffee at the beach club. It was so relaxing and convenient. All of the staff were great and helpful with anything we needed. The pool was very nice, and we loved the cozy feel of the complex. Everyone was friendly. Sally was very quick to answer any questions we had, and she gave us lots of amazing recommendations like things to do in the area, best massage (right next door), private tour guide to snorkel with turtles, great restaurant recommendations, and much more. We loved it all. The ferry to Cozumel is a quick walk as well, it was very convenient to go there one day. We had a blast!

A total gem on the beach! Condo is perfect with breathtaking views! We wanted close to the nightlife and close to fifth street and Luna was the perfect spot! Able to walk to everywhere we needed to go.. all the employees there were great and accommodating for our group! We felt perfectly safe the entire time and once behind closed doors was so peaceful and quiet.. Truly paradise on the huge deck overlooking the turquoise water, palm trees swaying and magnificent sunsets… we didn’t want to leave… And I can’t thank our hosts enough for everything they did to make our vacation perfect! Thank you Sally for all the great advice and for loaning Jaime to us for the week! He was so sweet and took us everywhere we needed to go! Amazing team you two!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 If you’re reading this review and on the fence do yourself a favor and check this place out.. you won’t be disappointed 😊

This was our 5th stay at Luna Encantada and we just love it. Tonya and Sally are our favorite property managers. They provide great communication and trip/area info! The oceanfront units at Luna like this one are like heaven on the beach. You can’t beat the floor to ceiling window wall in the open concept living room/dining room/kitchen. WOW!!! We really appreciate the view from the master bedroom as well. Everything is clean and comfortable. This unit has lots of pillows, linens and towels. Having a washer and dryer is awesome. We go home with suitcases full of clean clothes! The location is perfect for us with restaurants on either side that have wonderful servers that bring us food and drinks right to our lounge chairs! Shout out to William at Fusion and Alfonso at Inti! And Abdias, Luna’s beach attendant, is amazing too. He is always there with a smile to make sure you are comfortable and have what you need on the beach. Be sure to show your appreciation with a tip!! The lounge chairs and umbrellas are a definite bonus. Having gates and security personnel is also a plus. I just can’t say enough good things about Tonya and Sally and Luna Encantada! Our home away from home!

One of the best condos on the beach for views & being close to the action! Amazing staff, fully stocked kitchen, and lots of space to stretch out. Balcony is huge, and there there's the spacious private rooftop with hammocks. HEAVEN! Lots of places to eat and a brief stroll to Walmart.

We have stayed in this unit and love the view and location. The owner has been upgrading the unit over the years but more is needed. The balcony chairs are rusted and need replacement. The unit also needs more pots and pans. We had some initial issues with the plumbing but Ben, the property manager had someone out to fix it right away. We have stayed in several of the units at Luna and 3C is the best view. The complex is small and very family friendly.

This was our 10th year staying at Luna Encantada. We love the location as we can walk to the Mega Market and Walmart as well as so many great restaurants. Having the infinity pool as well as a nice beach to sit on is another benefit of staying at Luna Encantada. Tonya and her team are easy to deal with and always available for your questions.

The unit was very nice and in great condition. location was great. only downside of the location was the insane amount of seaweed in the beach in that entire area. Made the ocean basically in-swimmable. Other than that it was fantastic.

This penthouse condo at Luna Encantada is the best condo in the complex in our opinion. The views are unparalleled. Complete privacy, well built, well appointed, huge windows and wrap around decks, huge upper terrace area. Couldn't ask for more. The owner even provides free bottled water for renter's usage. There is a restaurant on either side of this complex and people from both places will serve you in the pool or on your lounge chairs or where ever. Great food and drinks from both places. The complex is maintained beautifully and the employees are always available and helpful. The entire area is experiencing daily seaweed on the beach like much of the Caribbean but the employees work hard every day to clean it up and haul it off. We will come back for sure!

We had a fabulous stay at Luna Encantada C3 in January 2018. The view is spectacular, the location perfect for quick access to the shops, bars and restaurants on and around Quinta Avenida and the apartments sit on what is undoubtedly the nicest part of Playa Del Carmen beach. Great beach food/drinks service either side at Inti and Fusion. The Luna Encantada staff could not have been more helpful, special thanks to Tonya and Abigail. We'd love to come back!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Luna Encantada! The view from our 3rd floor condo was spectacular. My son-in-law said that he felt like a movie star! The beach, the ocean, the people were all perfect. The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable. We were impressed with the service we received from the caretakers of the condo. As soon as we called they came! We will go again.

This was a return trip, and Luna remains my favorite location on Playa. It was disappointing to see the Fusion Bar next door town down, but the condo itself remained totally worth it.

We specifically asked before reserving if the bar was still next door and was told it was now a yoga studio. Upon arrival, we found the bar was STILL open and the incredibly loud music was awful. Beginning every day in the early afternoon and continuing into the night made sitting on the beach, the balcony, and the pool unbearable. After the music stops at the next door bar after midnight, the driving relentless bass from the techno disco a block a way makes sleeping with the doors/windows open problematic. It continues all night. So if you are looking for peace and quiet, definitely do not stay here. Otherwise, yes, this is the best balcony in Playa del Carmen, the rooftop deck an amazing amenity, if it were not for the extremely loud music. The staff all helpful and friendly (and sympathetic).

We just got back from our stay at this amazing property. This was by far the most incredible property we have ever stayed at and cannot wait to go back and see it again. We were a family of 7 staying for a full week. We had 5 adults and one teenager and at no point did we feel cramped in the condo. The apartment actually feels much bigger than the pictures are able to show. The ocean views are unobstructed on the top terrace allowing you to fully take in the paradise. We did cook at the apartment and all the appliances worked great. The owner ensured that you have all the basics like oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and such so all you need from the store is your produce and proteins. Also, they provided other basics such as dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, filtered water - all the things you would normally have at home that you now do not have to buy in bulk for a short stay. Outside the gorgeous apartment, what really made our stay a 5-star experience was the staff. The concierge and the daily complex staff were extremely nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure each guest was happy and had what they needed for their comfort. Our family walked up and down the beach and each time confirmed that there is no better property than this one while staying at Playa del Carmen. The condo is gated with a code to get in so only the guests staying there are able to access the property and pool area. The walk from your complex to the 5th avenue is maybe 30 seconds tops! I don't know of any other travels I have done where you have the downtown center that close to your apartment and the beach. We rented a car one day to visit Yucatan and Chichen Itza, however, if you are staying just in Playa, you will not need a car as everything is walking distance and feels very safe. If you are looking more to see other towns 45+ minutes away, I would recommend a car. All in all, our favorite vacation so far and the best stay we have ever had. What a perfect place to spend our honeymoon. The most beautiful property we've ever stayed in and so close to everything. Absolutely gorgeous views from the condo and the beach is steps away. If you require more than this to be happy, you need a therapist, not a vacation!

This is the best place to stay in Playa del Carmen! We've stayed at a luxury resort in Playa and this condo has it beat hands down. It was exactly as described. The owners think of it as their second home and it feels like a home. We traveled with another couple and were thrilled to have places to hang out together. That's something that you don't get at a hotel. The balcony is amazing! You can see all the way up and down the main part of Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed eating breakfast while looking out over the ocean. Since Playa has such wonderful restaurants, we were not interested in an all-inclusive resort. We bought breakfast food, snacks, and drinks to have at the condo and then dined out for most lunches and dinners. The full kitchen makes it easy to cook if you want to. One fun thing about the condo is the guest book. People write in their favorite things to do and places to eat. We cannot wait to go back!!

We stayed here for 4 days and absolutely did not want to leave!!! Having our condo on the beach & one block away from 5th avenue is truly the perfect location in Playa del Carmen. The sound, smell, & panoramic view of the ocean was so great to fall asleep and wake up to every day. We tried to sleep on the rooftop deck & balcony, but it gets too windy at nite! The bars & clubs next door aren't obnoxiously loud so you can still get a good night's rest. Hotel Fusion next door has the best ceviche, fish, & shrimp tacos.Don't miss it! On the other side of Luna, get an hour massage on the beach for $40. The condo was very spacious w/ plenty of room for 5 girls. Very clean rooms & linen. We could've used more towels so good thing we were able to do some laundry (we were so busy out on excursions that we kept missing the management office hours.) The showers are slow to drain, but overall, the bathrooms are in great condition. The 3rd bedroom gets a little loud if it's windy outside. The sliding door 'whistles' like a scary ghost room. The girl in that room decided to sleep out in the living room area & loved it because of the ocean sounds & breeze. On the rooftop deck, one hammock is torn, but everything else is in good condition. The pool is so clean, clear and perfect. On 5th ave, there will be tour dealers. Stay away from a guy named Federico Jesus (goes by the name 'Kiko'). He sells the package for super cheap, but doesn't provide correct info. Our Mayan adventure went from being 8 hours long to 12 hours long because we shared the van with so many other people! We loved the fact that we saved money, but were just annoyed at being lied to about the 'private' tour. Other things you can't miss is snorkeling at Cozumel. If you are looking to buy souvenirs & you go on the Chichen Itza tour, buy from the vendors that are in Chichen Itza and far away from the entrance. Eat at Hotel Basico restaurant, absolutely wonderful seafood. Eat pizza there too, it's surprisingly delicious. There is also this little taco stand on 12th avenue near Bali night club that looks like it's run from a van. So cheap & so good. Have breakfast at 100% Natural. Their food is amazingly light yet flavorful. Wear bug spray if you eat here..I got bit several times while eating breakfast! I wish we could have stayed longer.
