The property was nice. It was heated quite warm when we arrived and we had to turn down the heat and open it up to cool it down enough to be comfortable. We didn't get to stay the second night due to altitude sickness and had to head to lower elevation. But very much liked the accommodations.

The Loft on top of The Governor's Mansion was a perfect meeting place for two "old" friends who first knew each other when we worked at the Climax Mine. We both love Leadville so there was no doubt about the location. After taking some time to review options for lodging I decided on the Loft. It was perfect. Two bedrooms - one with a king-size bed if we wanted to sleep together and the other with twin beds if not. A living room and kitchen which was perfect for bringing back take-out and enjoying cold beverages. Since downtown is less than a block away, it is easy to walk to any of the restaurants and shops. The trek up to the third floor is breathtaking due to the spectacular view of Mounts Elbert and Massive as well as the altitude. Go slow and savor the experience! The treads on the stairs and efficient snow removal provide a safe ascent even during the winter months. (We used to say Leadville has three seasons: July, August and winter.) The days were the favorite ones I remember about Leadville - sunshine, bright blue sky, white snow, and bitter cold! It doesn't get any better than that...except maybe the picturesque summer days.

It was a great spot for a girls night! It was lovely enjoying all the yummy food of Leadville and having some drinks and laughs in a cozy space that had a beautiful view.

Easy check in process, cute apartment. No frills, as advertised. Great home base for your daily adventures!

Check-in with the staff was so easy and they were extremely helpful. Location, quaint and just a cool little place!

Good place to stay, but with difficult parking if you have a big vehicle. Also trying to find this location at night would be very challenging as you are coming in from the back of the house in a tiny back ally.. Three flights of stairs carrying luggage isn’t much fun either. Place is clean, has character, and is walking distance to most shops and restaurants.

This property is excellent for a family with 2 kids. It is on the third level and required navigating a few flights of outside stairs. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues or daredevil toddlers, but it was perfect for us. We’d stay here again.

The property was nice and was in a good location. Our only complaint is that the king size bed was hard. Neither one of use slept that night. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The property was just as it was advertised. Nothing super fancy, but it was actually bigger than we expected. It was just two of us, but there is PLENTY of room for a family of four!

This property was super easy, clean, warm, included all essentials and has great views from deck! Highly recommended.

Good little place. It would have been good to have known that the TV in the main room did not work as expected. After contacting the property manager (by e-mail) I found out that it would work on a few streaming services (no Netflix). This information was not available to me except through contacting the property manager. Also, there were no details on checkout until we were checking out. This was also found out through e-mail contact with the property manager. I called the property manager with a question about parking and did not receive a call back. It would have been better to have all the information up front.

We enjoyed our Leadville apartment. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable.

This was a great place for a getaway with family and a dog. It’s right downtown and very comfortable. The Netflix was a nice bonus! The kitchen setup allows for dining in, a nice option when everybody is tired from hiking. Clean and spacious, with lots of homey touches!

The Governors Mansion is within walking distance of downtown Leadville. It is a nice place to stay for a night or two. You do need to walk up two flights of outdoor stairs to get in so don't bring too much luggage! It is comfortable for 3-4 people.

Property was as advertised. It was easy to find and access. Location provided a convenient spot to walk to most of Leadville points of interest. Very comfortable and private apartment that allowed college age student his separate space from parent, which worked well for both.

We've stayed at a bunch of places in Leadville and this one is very nice. Great views of all directions, thanks to being up high on the third floor, close to town and quiet, but also right near the Mineral Trail loop so easy to get out of town on foot or bike. The place was clean with everything we needed and beds were super comfy. Would certainly stay here again.

This is a cute house. We only stayed one night, but was nice. The stairs were tough, but the views were worth it!

This accommodation was a perfect location for my son and I. We were able to visit downtown and walk to everything very easily.

Wonderful view of the town and charming upstairs. Bed is comfort and interior of bedroom historical from the ceiling to the floor. Close to Main Street.
