We love staying at this house. It has the best porch and the most hospitable owners. We have stayed here multiple times and enjoyed it each time. It’s clean, homey, fully stocked with everything you could possibly needed and a great location close to town.

We Enjoyed the location. You can drive or walk 10 or 15 minutes to the bakery / Grocery store or town. WE had regular visits from 3 bucks daily. They looked up at us on the porch. Bring food only. The house has everything you need such as games, abundant kitchen ware, coffee pots, gas grill, firepit etc. We loved our stay. Porch is fenced with a gate if you have a child or dog.

Very happy. Lots of wild life but no bears. Unusually hot week in Lake City and wished for better ventilation. Needs proper window fans. Not just box fans. If it was normal hemps wouldn’t have been a problem. Also house needs a bigger trash can. With family of 8 hard to squeeze our trash in

Few properties allow large dogs and this was the reason for us choosing this cabin. Our Great Dane and Lab truly enjoyed their stay, especially since they could hang out on the large deck unleashed provided there is a gate to keep them contained. They loved watching deer and marmots everyday from the deck and did a little afternoon sun bathing too. The stairs leading up to the bedrooms were a little slippery and awkward for our Great Dane but he mastered them by the end of our stay. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need, well stocked. Shower was pleasant will ample hot water. Master bed was comfortable with an awesome Mountain View from the balcony. The fire pit seemed nice but we did not use due to bear activity in the evening. I am very familiar with the neighborhood as I spent my childhood summers in the A-frame cabin just up the hill, so this property reminded me of the many rock forts and tree tee-pee’s built. The owner Dan was exceptionally responsive and a pleasure. Would certainly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with your pups. What a wonderful spot! Comfortable bedsand seating, and a very roomy kitchen.

The cabin was as described. It had everything you might need, especially in the kitchen. With great views of the surrounding mountains. We were there to ride our ATV’s in the Alpine Loop area. The cabin is located within the areas you are allowed to ride them in Lake City. Overall, a great comfortable place to stay.

Had a wonderful experience in Lake City! The cabin is super close to town and has everything you need to feel right at home. Dan is super responsive and truly a great host. Would absolutely stay here again!

This Cabin has a great outdoor area for enjoying the mountain air. It is located in a great location for walks into town. Grocery store & 3 restaurants within minutes.

Had a great stay. House was well equipped with everything we needed and more. We look forward to staying again in the future.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this cabin and I plan on many more stays here. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Close to town with trailer parking for your atv’s. Easy check in and communication with owners was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lake city cabin.

A group of 5 of us came out to explore the Alpine Loop and hide away in the mountains! This was a beautiful cabin and perfect location to get off and on trails and be away from the city hustle and bustle. We didn’t even ask for the WI FI Password. Nature, small town, house was well equipped, would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Colorado! Thanks Dan

Great house and really well stocked. We had everything we needed and owner was easy to work with. Fantastic view from the deck and a perfect location to town. A definite stay again place.

The only let down was no TV in one of the bedrooms but it was pictured without one and all the propane bottles were empty or the grill wasn't working properly. Over all the stay was great and would stay there again. Thanks Dan

The house was more than accommodating. It had everything we needed for all 13 of us. It was clean and just a beautiful house. A plus was that it was close to town. When we needed something, the owner took care of it. Would love to come back and stay there again!!

The house was just as described in listing. There are Marmots that live in the rocks beside the house, they met us every evening when we got back from riding ,they were looking for peanuts.. There was some confusion about check in times and that it put us off a little at first but other than that the house was good. The dashhound learned that she could not go down the inside steps really fast,lol!!

My kiddos and I had an amazing week at bear bungalow this past week. The house was nice and equipped with everything we needed for the week! Definitely recommend this property! Plenty of parking for our 34 foot trailer.

Everything was ready for us when we arrived. Even had a fire pit and firewood ready to go. Wonderful front deck overlooking the mountains. Main bedroom had sliding glass door with deck also overlooking the mountains. What a great way to wake up each morning!

House was great! Plenty of room for four adult couples and could get to the loop right from the house!! Was perfect spot for us!!

Really enjoyed the large deck. Some of my family stayed at another house but we all were able to congregate on this deck for the evening for lots of laughter.

Our family of four had a great week at Bear Bungalow which included two bear sightings! The house is in a great location in Lake City with a fantastic view. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The well thought outdoor areas including the front patio, grilling area and fire pit was prefect for our family. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location for Atv riding.

We had a great time at Bear Bungalow. The location was great. We walked into town everyday to get to the bakery, to shop, or just to explore. We hiked up Umcompagre Forest a little way up behind the cabin. Sweety's was just a little bit up the hill from us and was such a cute and fun place for the kids, even the teens. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices and cookware. Plenty of bedding and towels were also provided. The dishwasher and laundry machines did take a long time, but as long as you know that and plan around it, they worked fine. We also took advantage of the fire pit and deck to enjoy the cool weather and take in the scenery. We saw deer, lots of marmots, and even lucked out seeing a bear climbing the deck stairs and poking around the cabins down the road from us! The only complaint we had was the cabin was not cleaned well when we first arrived. We contacted Dan to let him know and he responded right away.

We loved the cabin and it was perfect for us. Size is good and plenty of room for the toys

The location was excellent and had a nice view from front porch and from master bedroom/porch upstairs . The place was cozy and comfortable, with nice outdoor spaces and grill. The one slight negative (for some) was that all three bedrooms were upstairs with only one bath to share, while another full bathroom was downstairs. It was ok with us, and we really didn't mind, but some folks would probably prefer master bath not shared and 2nd bath for the other rooms.
