Very pleasant would like to do this again next year.

The house was extremely clean when we arrived, house was equipped with all pots and pans, and a beach wagon with beach chairs! My husband and I took our son here for a long weekend and it was great! The house is less than a mile from the town beach. Directly around the corner is an adventure land for kids that has an arcade, small rides, go carts, bumper boats, mini golf and more. In addition, there’s a great park right at the end of the road. Near the beach are fantastic restaurants, an awesome ice cream and candy shop, and shopping! There was some thing for everyone. Newport was a very short drive, and we took advantage of the Block Island ferry being less than 15 minutes away! Definitely an awesome location for a family vacation. The house was in great condition. Perfect for a Beach getaway.

Good neighborhood, rustic accommodations, easy walk to the beach, has A/C units. Important to note- linens/towels not included, no dishwasher, no washer/dryer. Overall good stay for our family of 4.

Everything was wonderful.. perfect location close to everything!!! The only suggestion would be a toaster.

The property is less than a mile from the town beach which made the location ideal. The house was clean but bare bones/ outdated. However don't let this steer you away- its perfect for a getaway. Bring your own pillows in addition to linens. Shower was small but worked good. A/C units in every room which is nice.

Older style home, in nice neighborhood, close to everything. Great place for kids and or dog, with parks and schools and biking/walking paths at each end of the dead-end street.

Power kept going out and had to be reset in the creepy basement. Holes and the walls and ceiling. They had a new grill and an empty tank of propane which we had to pay for to cook. The couch was broken and not a pull out bed. The umbrella outside was broken. It is a mess of a property. Would NEVER return.

Furniture and ceilings have stains all over them. One of the couches legs are broken off and you can’t sit on it.

The house was very dirty when we showed up, house cleaner came after the check in time which was fine but did not clean anything refrigerator was still so gross and trash left from past renters we ended up cleaning it all ourselves. The pots and pans in the kitchen were very dirty.

We stayed here with my husband and 4 boys (12, 13, 13, 15) and absolutely loved it! The house isn't modern, but it's cozy and was the perfect place for my family to stay. The boys walked to the park at the end of the street every night and played ball on the baseball field. The property has a grill and almost everything you need in the kitchen! The location was a little too far for us to walk to the beach since it was really hot and humid. But the town beach was a quick drive and it was really nice. We went there after dinner to walk around the beach at night. The house is close to grocery stores, restaurants, several beaches and great seafood places. The owners were wonderful to work with. We had to reach out to them once during our stay and they responded quickly and were very pleasant. We cannot wait to visit RI again and when we do, this is the place our family will want to stay! :)

Decent location to the town beach. Across the street from a park with playground which was nice. Air conditioners in the downstairs and bedrooms worked well. The house definitely needs a lot of work and not kid/baby friendly. The door to the basement didn’t have a working lock and the floor in the kitchen has missing pieces. The carpet under the dining room table hadn’t been cleaned with lots of hair and old food particles. The back deck was decent and the yard was nice. The grill had an empty propane tank which the owner sent someone over the next day to bring a new one. The bathroom didn’t have any outlets, and there was a lighting fixture that was partially in the shower which isn’t safe. Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again.

House is just OK. If you are looking for anything extra this is not the house for you. If you are looking for just a place to stay with the ability to walk to the ocean it’s fine. House needs a lot of work and could really be a great rental if they put more into it. Even the outside is not well kept. Was a little disappointing for the price. Owner communicated well. When we got there the garbage was overflowing from the previous renters and it stunk and was covered in flies. The owner said they would make a special pick up the next day. We couldn’t sit outside the first night because the smell was so bad. Had to call the owner the next day because it was still there and she came to pick it up herself. The next morning a tree company came and asked us to move our cars because they had to remove stumps from the backyard. The owner assured us it was a mistake however the workers told us they were sent to our house. If you are looking for a bare bones beach house that is somewhat clean this is a fine rental. We enjoyed walking and being close to the beach. RI is beautiful but wouldn’t rent this property again.

This is the worst vacation rental we have stayed at in 30 years. The bathroom had extensive cracking in the bath area, rust on the chrome fixtures, a shower control which was hard to turn, a slow draining sink and a light fixture partly in the shower enclosure which was an electrical hazard. There was no place to hang towels. The small plates in the kitchen were dirty, and the dish drain rack was too small to be useful. There was no fry pan or grill pan, so you could just boil and bake with the stove. The kitchen also had a musty odor. Two of three bedrooms had pretty much no outlets and the one which did had no AC. The living room sliding glass door entry had no curtain, so we got some privacy by putting up a blanket. The poor maintenance extended to the exterior where a piece of plywood covering a basement window made a nice hideout area for a large snake which was in there when we arrived. It went off after an hour and did not return. The front garden was a paradox: one side well kept; the other side overgrown. The hot water was fine; the fridge was fine and the dining room was very well done. It is as if there are two managers: one who wants to upgrade the unit and another who does not want to spend even the smallest amount to keep it up. The basement was full of junk and damp. The door going down to it could not be locked, as part of the bolt assembly was missing. For older folks, the only bathroom is on the ground floor, well away from the bedrooms on the upper level. The stair bannister is also about a foot short at the top and a bit of a hazard. This could be a nice rental but only if some money, likely a grand or two is invested in it. Till that happens, our advice is to steer clear of this one.

The property was in a great location near the beach. There was plenty of room for me and my guests. The house was cute but old. The house had a musty smell. Although it included dishes, etc., the pots were very old and it was lacking in any skillets for cooking and common cooking utensils such as spatulas and peelers.

House is run down and dirty. No bathroom upstairs. Needs a fresh coat of paint and replenishment of supplies. Floors are buckling. Exterior is off putting. Buggy and gross.

It was okay. It had most kitchen staples. Only a quarter roll of toilet paper. No paper towels. Not many pots and no pans. Array of dishes that I had to clean before using because they weren’t cleaned properly by the last guest. The water hose didn’t work and the propane tank was empty. I contacted the owner and she said we’d be reimbursed if we bought another. It was screwed so tight we needed a wrench to get it off and we didn’t have one. It was advertised so it should’ve been filled. Landscapers were there as we were checking out which made loading the car difficult. People also came to remove a huge tree stump in the front yard for over an hour and it was very loud. We weren’t warned about either of these things. The living room couch was dirty and very uncomfortable. It could’ve been worse but could’ve been better. The area and neighborhood was great but for the price I’d never stay here again. The mattress protectors were also gross and the stains on the actual mattresses were even grosser. The “fire pit” was also just burnt wood in the middle of the yard. I’ve rented many beach houses, just none quite like this one.

Great spot for a quick family getaway. Centrally located, easy to access everything we wanted to do. Nice quiet neighborhood across the street from a nice playground which the kids loved.

The house is spacious and about what you would expect since it is old. Nice yard and deck! Most of the weekend was cold and it seemed impossible to get the master bedroom warm. One night was really hot - the A/C unit in one bedroom wouldn't work and the master bedroom could use an A/C unit. Otherwise very comfortable and quiet and close to the beach. It was great for our dog because there is a park across the street.

I would definitely be booking this house in the future

Our family really enjoyed staying here. It was a quick walk to town and the shops. Beautiful little neighborhood. We very much enjoyed having dinners on the back porch and the proximity to walk to get a coffee and watch the surf in the morning. Highly recommend to families with teens.

This cottage is in a great location. Pretty quite and walking distance to the beach area. Its a cute house but because its very old some upkeep is needed. The living room fan is broken. The fan at top of stairs light bulbs were blown.it had cracked tiles on kitchen floor that move under your feet and the dinig room table was very loose. The bathroom is small but worked for us. The lights were a bit strange in there cause its practically in the shower with you so that could be a hazard. The patio table is very old and wethered and could use some tlc. Its old but it has character. Has ac in the bedrooms and living room and that was great.The owners were very helpful and easy to connect with. All and all the house was nice and suited our needs just think a bit of upkeep and tlc is needed.

This house was ok. It is walking distance to the beach but at least at 20/25 minute walk. The property manager was responsive but on our last night we tried to grill and the gas tank was empty. Our food was already on grill so we had to go buy another one at the store. I told the property manager and they did not respond, which is very rude since we left the full/new tank when we left the house. She did not even thank us for leaving it or reimburse us. A grill was listed on the amenities so it should have been filled.

Excellent location. Quick to beach, shopping, etc. Quite, nice neighborhood.

We had a nice time! Deck could use a little maintenance but house was very clean and well stocked. Would stay again!

We had a great stay! Was close enough to beach so we took the car to drop everybody off at beach and parked at the house. One person walked back. Beach house is as listed. Nothing fancy but had a nice deck, grill, fire pit, back yard and beach chairs to use for beach.

Very comfortable just what we were looking for : )
