Very happy with this stay, perfect place for a couple. Off street parking, pretty quiet neighborhood, nice house, equipped well for easy cooking if you don’t want to eat out every meal.

The property was in a nice neighborhood with proximity to the beach a short drive away. Parking was very convenient and the outside garden was a lovely place to sit and eat or just enjoy coffee. This town is where my husband lived with his family for some years and it was a pleasure to be here again.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Walking distance to the beach and groceries. Air conditioning unit in the bedroom and the rest of the house has windows that open for a cross breeze. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and also super helpful when we had questions! If you’re looking for a quiet residential area for your VRBO, this place is perfect.

Carol was great about being available by phone, answering questions, giving us directions and assisting us with whatever we needed! We had a great stay! The place was quiet and secure. We loved the covered lanai amid all the tropical plants and trees, nice for enjoying coffee in the morning or dinner at night.

This property is the perfect location for enjoying Oahu outside of the tourist fray. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The apartment is private and relaxing. We enjoyed the covered patio and spent a lot of mornings and evenings out there, even though it was raining.

Carol was a true lifesaver as we landed in Hawaii in a really terrible accomodation, and she was quickly able to accomodate us. She was responsive and communicated effectively. We loved staying with them.

We spent a week at this apartment and loved it. It provided everything we needed and more.

Carol was a great host, very helpful and informative. We enjoyed our time there but as you can see from the pictures it could use some updating. It was clean and comfortable with most everything you need!

Good neighbourhood, quiet, lots of birdsong and almost no distant traffic noise. We could hear the surf from three blocks away. We felt safe and well-rested after our month. The owner was easy to talk to, and well-informed about local things. The location was readily accessible to any activities we were interested in---longboard surfing was 2 minutes by car, hiking 10 minutes, shopping in town was also very quick. It looks like the photos. & we hope to come again some time. -Mark & family, Vancouver, Canada.

This is a spacious and immaculate place. Our hosts were accommodating in every way to make our vacation just what we had hoped. Our only suggestions--how about adding two 'fluffy' new pillows on the bed? And mattress may need a boost soon.

Kailua auf Oahu ist ein wundervoller Ort um Urlaub auf Hawaii zu machen. Die Insel läßt sich von hieraus super gut erkunden, die Hauptstadt Honolulu ist in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Der Kailua Beach Park als bester Strand 2019 in Amerika ausgelobt hält was er verspricht. Entspannung in einer traumhaften Umgebung. Die Unterkunft liegt in einen ruhigen Wohngebiet und man ist mit dem Auto in 8 Minuten am Traumstrand. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und die Wohnung ist für zwei Personen ausreichend groß. Eine Modernisierung der Küche, nebst Inventar und Terrassenmöbel sollte die nächste Zeit mal eingeplant werden. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.

My husband and I came to visit our daughter. We enjoyed lazy mornings on the patio and dinner and drinks there at night. Cooked on BBQ. Easy parking. We never stayed in Kailua before and the trade winds were great, so much so that it was cold sometimes on the beach! My daughter and I could walk, maybe 10-15 minutes, to the ocean and watch the sunrise on a quiet beach. Kailua town and beach were a treat also and 10-15 min. by car. Kailua Town has a Whole Foods, restaurants, coffee shops. Lots of surfers and kite surfers at beaches due to great winds. We never needed to bother our hosts once as everything was just perfect — very clean, and included a book with all the info we needed. We ate at Nico’s one night - very nice with local music (5 mins. away . You could walk). Also food market and small shopping center 1/2 mile. It really was perfect for us. Just FYI : be aware that there is only one bathroom and you have to walk through the bedroom to use. This could be awkward if you weren’t sharing with family. Thank you to our hosts!

We enjoyed staying at the Kailua house. It is not exceptional in quality but a good location and a good space for our grandson to stay with us. We were comfortable. The bed could use a memory foam pad. Carol and her husband were very kind and helpful.

This apartment is a Safe, comfortable and convenient location to stay while visiting Oahu.

Carol was very helpful, giving us lots of tips. The condo was quite large to accommodate our family and had all the necessary utilities and very airy. We could sit on the lanai every morning for our breakfast. The condo was close to all amenities and close to Kailua's beautiful beach. We had a wonderful time on this beautiful island of Oahu. Thank you Carol for sharing with us your nice condo.

We had a very nice stay at Kailuahouse. It had everything we needed and it was relaxing. We loved that it was out of the city and had a homey feeling. I would recommend it.

Being welcomed by our warmhearted host Caroll with lots of tips and infos we were surprised to find the appartment in such perfect condition, as we have had other experiences before elsewhere. The pics and description almost match the reality, fact is, in reality it is better. We found the place clean, spacey, well equipped and taken care of. Having a long experience of renting appartments we always wonder, why there aren´t any basic supplies left, e.g. at least some spices. Here we enjoyed the fact that durable leftovers didn´t end up being dumped, but we had the choice to use them and leave some of ours for the next guests to use. This included beach equipment, which was a very nice fact, as you´ll want to have a boogie board at Kailua Beach, but what to do with it later? That´s what we call a sense for sustainability, which we appreciate a lot. Carol´s husband John took good care of our needs and we enjoyed our BBQ on the lanai almost every eve. Having your own piece of garden is of great value. Overall we can say we had a wonderful time at Caroll´s and John´s place, which was way too short, but hopefully to be repeated soon. We had stayed there with our grown up children, making it a party of four adults. We highly recommend this place and wish all the very best for our lovely hosts.

Easy to find in a nice neighbor...parking was simple and easily accessed...on the first floor...yard with flowers and trees....deck with table/chairs and a gas grill...inside was spacious/open concept living room, dining room, kitchen...one bedroom, bath, and full size washer/dryer...kitchen had full size refrigerator, dishwasher, four-burner electric stove....conveniently located to drive a short distance to stores and restaurants and the best beach on O'ahu...air conditioned by one window unit in bedroom/making it cool in the bedroom but needing the ceiling/floor fans for the rest of the area....cozy/quiet/convenient.

Great location to stay on Oahu. Carol and John were friendly hosts, helpful and always available. We were there with two young children and they provided a high chair and a pack n' play. The apartment is nice and clean, in a quiet area. The backyard garden with BBQ was a definite bonus. Best beaches on Oahu only 5 minutes away by car. Downtown Kailua not far away and very convenient. Would have stayed longer.

This a very comfy and well situated apartment in Kailua. The louvered windows meant we never needed to use AC and the fresh Hawaii air was wonderful. With H3 right there, you are 30min to 1 hour away from everything on the island. Food shopping and the beach are a mere stones throw away. Carol and John were fantastic hosts and responded very promptly to all requests. We cooked almost every night at home on the grill listening to the breezes blow and the birds going to sleep.

It was a great vacation. Very quiet and peacefull with the gorgious garden full of flowers. The apartment is located within walking distance of the beautiful Kailua Beach (about 15 minutes). I had a wonderful time. Thanks from Quebec, Canada!

This is a very nice vacation rental in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 10 nights and were very sorry to leave. Nights were plenty cool for comfortable sleeping. Carol was very kind and provided great suggestions about what to do and where to eat. We were happy to find some boogie boards and other beach toys were available for us to use as well, which was a nice bonus. Oahu travel books were also available for use which we found very useful as they were more detailed than the books we had purchased. If you are looking for a nice place to stay in the quiet town of Kailua, look no further. Just don't beat me to the same booking dates in the future.

This is a great apartment to get away from busy Honolulu in a quiet, upscale neighborhood in a tropical setting. We loved just walking around the neighborhood looking at all the different plant, flowers and blossoming trees. We were greeting by cute geckos in front of the door which was a highlight for our daughter. The apartment is bigger than it looks on the pictures and is well equipped. They even had seasonings, pan cake mix and other food in the cabinets we could use. The owner Carol was very friendly and helpful during our trip preparation and when showing us around the apartment. The tropical garden is a huge plus and we would have liked to have more time to enjoy the BBQ. If you go grocery shopping the Foodland in Kailua has a much better selection and prices than the Safeway around the corner. The most beautiful beaches on the island are just a 10 minute drive.
