Everything was clean and comfortable. The porch was amazing and the view beautiful!

Cute cottage, very clean and nice views of river. The cottage floors/structure lean noticeably toward river, which is weird for old people like us to balance and the steps down to the river don’t feel stable. It was also strange that towels are not provided.

Super cute with great views of the river. Spotless-clean and neat. Instructions and labels on everything made it easy to navigate. Lots of local brochures of things to do. The kitchen is well equipped. The little slant of the property took a bit of getting used to but good enough for morning yoga on the beautiful screened in porch.

My wife and I stayed for 3 days after the Labor Day weekend. The Treehouse Cottage is likely named after the two giant trees on each side of the deck. The property is cozy with a magnificent view of the river joining Lake Michigan with the bay downtown. On the first day we watched dozens of boats of all sizes go up and down the river. The wide and well-appointed porch is screened in and free of mosquitos. The TVs and cable were excellent. The kitchen has great appliances but is rather small so making larger meals would be very difficult. We made breakfast each day and that was fine. Cookware was ample for the size of the kitchen. Climate control was very good as it was warm and cold during our stay. The master bedroom was roomy with more views of the river. The master bath was adequate. The downstairs rooms were great, but we did not use them. The washer dryer combo looked new with plenty of room to do laundry. There were several notices to bring your own towels. This should be heeded! There are no towels of any kind in the home. We found no washcloths or hand towels either. I assumed you should bring beach towels. We were lucky enough to have brought two towels and one wash cloth. In previous summer visits dinner time was difficult because the restaurants fill up quickly and the waits can be long. After Labor Day the problem is actually worse as several restaurants reduced their hours or reduced their seating. Good to have multiple dinner options.

Very clean. Owners were helpful and easy to communicate with. The location and property can’t be beat! An easy walk to downtown Saugatuck but still on the river with plenty of yard by the water to enjoy. The double porches were our favorite places! Only caution: the home was built 125 years ago; my 6’4 husband had to be careful of his head! We hope to be back and stay longer next year!

Gary and Jan are the perfect hosts! As previous innkeepers they know how to provide top notch hospitality. We loved the location and the accommodations were wonderful. We are very much looking forward to a return visit!

We loved that it was on the river with a dock and large yard. The porches were large and the screened in porch off the main living space was so great. It is an old cottage with some quirks but was very clean and comfortable. I think the only down side that I experienced was a lack of space to keep your food other than the refrigerator.

Great facility. Easy access to the river for use of our kayak and paddle board. Very short bike or car ride into town for restaurants and breweries. We will be back

Extremely clean cottage with new appliances. Great location on the river and close to town. Owner lives adjacent to the property and was helpful with a few things. The cottage is quite old, but has many updates and is comfortable.

The Treehouse Cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. Plenty of room for 3 couples to spread out and get comfortable. Cottage had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Great views of the Kalamazoo River from both porches. Waterfront area was quiet and peacefully. Very good communication from the host. Would stay again and recommend the Treehouse Cottage for it's views of river and proximity to Saugatuck shops and restaurants.

Excellent location and beautiful spot to relax. Close enough to shops and restaurants, but enough off the beaten path to enjoy the peace and quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were very comfortable and fantastic views. Very short walk in to town. We loved just sitting out in the yard enjoying the beautiful view and parade of boats.

The cottage has the most beautiful views of the boats going by on the Kalamazoo River. It was also very clean and comfortable. It was adequately supplied with everything we needed. We had a lovely time and would definitely return.

We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch and watching the boats go by. If there wasn’t a breeze, we’d turn on the fans. Short drive to Oval Beach or Saugatuck. Very pleasant stay.

We loved the treehouse cottage! One of the best locations in Saugatuck right on the river and easy walk/bike to town. We loved watching the boats go by on the screened in porch, fishing right off the dock and the ease of dropping our kayaks right in the water whenever we wanted! The cottage was clean and quaint ... the perfect size for our family of 4. Would definitely stay here again!

This home was the perfect vacation spot for our family. The house is open and has beautiful decks right on the water. The house had everything that we needed and more! It is in the perfect spot and we walked into Saugatuck for shopping and dinning each day. This home could not be more perfect.

A great place to bring the dogs and enjoy the breeze. The two decks had views of the river that would be hard to beat. The kitchen and main living area was freshly remodeled. Near everything, but with plenty of privacy.
