My family came from all over to spend Christmas together and having a home rather than separate hotel rooms made it so much more special. The home was wonderful. The hot water was a bit challenging but otherwise everything was wonderful

I am a single mother who travelled with my 3 daughters, 24, 19 & 16 years old. We stayed at Casa Mambo for a week & we had a great vacation! The location is perfect to walk anywhere in the city & we always felt safe even at night! We did have a rental car that got us to the beautiful beaches on the other side of the island! The house manager Astrid was wonderful & the pool was perfect! I would definitely come back!

This is not a bad deal for a family needing 3 bedrooms. Some basic repairs of doors that stick, lights and fans that do not work, and broken windows that allow mosquitos in would help a lot. The beds were very firm. We were spending $500 a day on diving and did not want to spend too much on accomodations. The pool and inner courtyard is the most charming aspect of this older villa. There is a regular housekeeper and pool maintenance worker and the maintenance staff did respond quickly to imediate repair needs (broken door and light). The neighborhood is safe and although we could hear neighbors partying from outside the house, we could not hear them once inside. A friendly iguana prowls the roof.

This was a such nice home! Great location right near the main strip. I will be back here in very soon!

I recently stayed at Casa Mambo and found it a little lacking. The home has the potential to be great but is in a little disrepair. Astrid was wonderful and showed us the house and gave us information about the island. The street the house is on is out of the main tourist area but is fairly loud. The beds... well aren't beds as most westerners think of beds, they are just the box spring mattress support with a foam pad. It being fairly cool on the island the pool was ice cold but beautiful. The house is located in a great area and is easy to get to. If the house got a little TLC it has the potential to be a perfect getaway!

Casa Mambo was a great place to stay while visiting Cozumel. It's only a 10 minute walk to the supermarket and coast as well as numerous restaurants. The home itself has a lot of character and the pool provides a nice cool down at the end of the day. It comfortably accommodated the 4 of us but could easily take a group double the size. The property manager, Astrid, was available to answer any questions regarding all that the island has to offer. I'd highly recommend visiting her restaurant for some incredible pozole if you're there on a Sunday.

Such a relaxing place to stay! we dipped in the pool daily and the area is very safe. Many restaurants not too far from the house. I really enjoyed this much needed vacation away from everything. Highly recommend Casa Mambo. Andresita is a delight to do business with!

What a wonderful vacation home! I spent much of my time relaxing by the pool, reading. I took a dip every morning. It was quite hot and there's nothing like cooling off before heading out to do some shopping on the ocean front! Casa Mambo is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from the tourists by the ferry. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the simplicity if island life yet not too far from the action of the Carribean. Andresita is very helpful and knowledgable. I don't think my vacation would have gone so smoothly without her help.

We all had a great time while visiting the island. 4 adults and one teenager. We really liked the layout of the casa, the kitchen and living room were completely separate and screened off from the bedrooms so some could visit while others could sleep. a great set up for familys or up to 3 couples. Fred and Andresita were wonderful to work with. I had a terrible time with the postal service delivering my money order but fred was very patient and reassuring that everything would be fine. (he was right) the casa was in a nice location right down the street from a place that serves great phillipino food with a slight mexican flare. there was also a little store at the end of the street if you were wanting a cervesa and dont feel like going to the store. A maid came by faithfully every day to tidy up the place. she was very sweet. Taxi cabs drive by frequently so if you dont feel like walking you can get one easily. My absolute favorite restaurant was chilangos on 30th for a small price you get an awesome authentic meal. my next favorite was casa mission also on 30th All & All we had a great stay. Enjoyed staying at casa mambo. would recomend it to families or couples. The gardens are very pretty around the front of the casa as well as around the swimming pool. Casa mambo is a very nice place to be with a family. My three year old daughter loved the pool. Fred the owner is easy to work with as is the manager who was nice and met us at the airport. The house is clean and well taken care of and near groceries and restaurants. it is really nice to just hang out there with the people you are with. It is a big place so people can take naps and be alone too. The artwork and tile in the house is really nice and shows someone took their time in design and decoration. I will definitely go back again to the Mambo to escape our cold Minnesota winters.

We rented Casa Mambo and it was a very fun experience. My three year old daughter loved the pool because it has shallow and deep pools. it is well furnished and has good internet. There is a Ched Raui (sort of like walmart) about three blocks away where you can get everything you need. There is also restaurants that are close that are very good. It is a great place to go with a group of people who dive etc or just a family. The courtyard is more lush than the pictures suggest and the house is a great place to just hangout. I would definitely go here again and invite my family too.
