Plenty of space for three women celebrating 40 years of friendship. We sat in the screened porch every night. Clean, comfortable beds, ice machine a plus, a cooks kitchen and plenty of towels, wine glasses and cleaning supplies; a couple minute walk to the beach and connected to 30 miles of bike trails.

This place is wonderful! Loved the high end kitchen, and we cooked everyday. Also loved the crushed ice machine. Easy key access, and Karen’s communication was always prompt. Located right at the beach path, so walking to the beach was quick.

If you are looking for a well-appointed three bedroom property located in close proximity to the ocean without the ocean-front price, this is it. As a long time visitor to Kiawah (since 1982), this home is hands-down my favorite location to stay. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in. We made eggs, bacon and goetta (a Cincinnati thing) every day on the gas range. Wanna make a few casseroles? Grill burgers and fresh seafood? Make pasta and meatballs? Celebrate Taco Tuesday? Our crew of teenagers and adults did it all. The kitchen table comfortably seated our party of 6 and was the site of some fiercely competitive card games. The house has very comfortable beds and ample storage for clothes if you wish to unpack them. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet with spare sheets, pillows, and bath towels. The house maintained a comfortable temperature which made for great sleeping at night. While we brought boogie boards, spike ball and tidal ball with us, there are a number of beach toys, bocce ball and beach chairs available to use. The house is located on a cul-de-sac that is right next to the pathway to the ocean and to the bike path. A short ride takes you to Night Heron Park and all the fun activities for teens and young families. Karen is a terrific host and is highly responsive when you reach out to her. We were incredibly happy with every aspect of our stay at this Oceanwoods cottage! We love the Oceanwoods location due to the proximity to the beach - it is right across the street, which you can't beat. Since we love to cook a lot, the well-appointed kitchen was a plus -- Wolf range, Sub Zero fridge, and ice maker. Beds were super comfortable and bedding was high quality. Great huge deck, although not much privacy (since right on the bike path). We also loved the screened-in porch, although it could use more seating. We would definitely stay here again!

If there was just “one thing” that could’ve been better, we wish it was cleaner upon arrival. It’s a “beachy” locale, but already had plenty of sand on the entry tile, wood floors and bathroom floors. The back deck had not been swept for some time and was laden with many spiderwebs. We spent some valuable time to clean it for our use. The owner will surely update the cleaning service as I’m sure they don’t know of this issue. Great location, a bottle of wine and excellent amenities. Kitchen was maxed out on high end gas range and sub zero fridge with an extra ice maker!

We’ve come to Kiawah for 32 years and this was by far our favorite! Great accommodations - Owner has thought of everything. Comfortable cottage, plenty of room and so close to the beach! Everything you need to have a relaxing stay on this lively island. We will be back!

My husband and I and our two boys (ages 5 and 2) had the most wonderful stay at this house! The house is charming, beautifully decorated, and spotless. But the best thing for us had to be the location. It was super easy to get to the beach with our two young children. We had such a wonderful time and it really felt like we were staying at a friend's house as opposed to a rental property. Having things like extra beach gear and laundry detergent was just so convenient. And Karen is just the nicest person! She was so helpful and friendly when we spoke. Thank you for opening your home to us!

Such a great property! We had a wonderful week. Location is absolutely perfect - couldn't be closer to the beach access. The house was very clean and inviting. We enjoyed the screened in area on the deck! Kitchen has high end appliances and all the essentials you might need. We loved the ice maker and now want one for our home! Beds are super comfortable. Overall, this is a truly wonderful place to stay, and we can't wait to return.

We’ve rented dozens of cottages and homes at Kiawah since our first visit in 1983; this is one of our favorites. Freshly updated, with wonderful bathrooms, comfy beds, and a cozy living room, the home felt like home to our family and friends. The kitchen was well supplied with all the tools needed to prepare any meal (we ate at home all nine days of our stay). Loved the separate barrel ice maker, the gas grill on the deck, the top-of-the-line washer/dryer, and all of the extra supplies in the home. The location is perfect—just steps to the beach and bike path. The surf can be heard from the deck and screened in porch. Being located on the corner of the block also provides more space from neighbors, and privacy. The host was responsive, helpful, and welcoming. We hope to return to stay in this home again soon!

We had a lovely stay at this amazing location. About one minute walk to the beach was perfect for pulling our beach wagon full of sand toys. The cottage had everything we could’ve wanted and many amenities we didn’t even realize we wanted like a pellet ice machine, extra sand toys and beach chairs. Karen is extremely responsive with any questions we had. The cottage is even more beautiful than the pictures show. I grew up vacationing in Kiawah and this was the first time I brought my own children. We will certainly be interested in booking this location again!

The location was perfect! We loved walking thru the dappled sunlight of the palms, pines and live oaks on our short stroll to and from the beach each day! The cabin was great. Plenty of space for 5 adults. Communication was effortless. We hope to come back soon!

This was a well maintained property with a lot of features that made it feel special like the higher-end kitchen appliances and wood floors throughout. We have been coming to Kiawah literally for decades and not all rentals are the same. You could really notice the extra effort the owner has made to make it a welcoming and comfortable experience. The location close to the beach access is a real plus for families with children or mobility issues. Would love to come back some day!

We just arrived home from an amazing week in Kiawah. This was the perfect property for our family. Karen was easy to work with from day one by answering all of our questions and offering suggestions and recommendations for the area. We brought most of our own food from home and ate all of our meals in the house because of the COVID restrictions. The kitchen had anything you could possibly need for cooking and it was very well stocked with essentials. Our favorite being the pellet ice maker. What a treat! The house came with plenty of bath and beach towels for our family of 4. All seemed freshly washed! Beds were comfy, layout was great, house was spotless and the proximity to the beach was a huge bonus. We enjoyed many morning and evening bike rides, fishing, golf and lots of relaxing. Thank you, Karen for a great week and we look forward to coming back again next Summer. Hopefully for 2 weeks!

We have been going to Kiawah for over 20 years and we have to say this has been our favorite home to stay in. Clean, well equip and close to beach access! Definitely hope to go back soon!

This property is in a perfect location, right off West Beach and is in immaculate condition. Our family had a wonderful time staying over the Fourth of July week.

This is the perfect family get away home. My husband, 2 adult daughters and I had a very relaxing week. Karen was very helpful and attentive to our questions. This home is very well equipped and you can’t beat the location to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Our party of 6 ladies, on an annual beach trip, really enjoyed staying at Kiawah Island, in this gorgeous cottage. Close proximity to the beach and a well appointed place, made the stay even more enjoyable. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to work in. Bedrooms are very roomy. Karen was an excellent host; we would definitely stay again!

The four of us (my boyfriend and I, his Dad and his aunt) had a very relaxing week in this comfortable and well furnished cottage, with updated kitchen and baths, and lots of amenities, big and small. Karen is a very thoughtful hostess, who went out of her way to make us feel at home, and who was very responsive to all of my questions, no matter how small. We would love to stay here again —for longer(!)—in the future.

We were a party of four adults. All of us really enjoyed this cottage. It lacked for nothing . The proximity to the beach was excellent....a short walk and we were there. The location of the cottage itself was perfect. Even with other homes around, we had privacy because of the trees and surroundings. The spaciousness of all the rooms was really something. The kitchen is as modern as you can get and great to work in to maneuver around each other. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and deck, especially at night. Kiawah Island is a beautiful area and we would return to this cottage again for sure. Karen couldnt have been a more attentive host. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage!

This property works beautifully for two couples. It has all the amenities needed. Since it is a remodeled cottage it still only has one sink in the bathrooms but is workable. It is near the beach for easy access. There were plenty of seasonings for cooking which is nice for those who actually cook! Lots of great places to eat within close proximity. Ask Karen for her guidance and you will be in great shape. Kiawah island has a great golf resort with premium courses which also contains the 2021 PGA championship course. It is also located in an area where there is not a lot of traffic since it is just off a dead end. A good value.
