It was a pleasure staying at this property. It’s located right in the shops area so everything is walking distance. Check-in was a breeze and the staff and main contact was easily accessible and quick to respond. The room was super cute and has everything you need, fridge, microwave, dishware, utensils and coffee maker. My suggestion is to make sure that the towel and robe replacements does not have any stains on them and cleaning the clump of dust on the air vent in the bathroom ceiling. I have bad allergies so it was something I noticed. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The Suite we stayed in at BellaVista was great. Kevin was very helpful in accommodating a booking error on my part and even gave us a bit of a room upgrade as it was available. The room was great, we found two cute places with outdoor dining available (indoor had just been shut down due to COVID) and the surrounding area was very cute. Only downside was a very early garbage day (3:45am!!!) that was rather noisy outside and woke us up, though I can't blame that on the property per se.

Terrific location, great space and aesthetic. Shower and shower floor were awesome!!!

We made a late last minute decision to find a place in for a night. This suite was above the shops in the middle of town. Came with a parking spot and a very spacious big high ceiling room with access to town and privacy at the same time. We loved it.

Really enjoyed a holiday weekend getaway. Fun And beautiful place.

My siblings, parents and children stayed in this home for a quick weekend getaway. Our family has been visiting Saugatuck for 30 years and this is a great property! Lots of room for the kids to play (HUGE , totally finished basement), and plenty of area upstairs for the adults to congregate. The beds were comfortable, the linens/towels were actually amazing and overall a great experience. The only downside was wifi was pretty much useless and signals on our verizon hotspots were even iffy. The home technically has wifi but it wasn't a strong enough signal for anything. Just a heads up if you are trying to sneak away while technically "working" you will need to head to a coffee shop or restaurant to get work done. All in all it is a great property! We will DEFINITELY be back and highly recommend!!

We loved our stay here. The cottage is way bigger than then the pictures make it seem. The long dining table is separate from the kitchen making it easy to cook for a big group while they gathered at the table. There are 3 bedrooms on the top floor, 2 bedrooms main and one in the basement. There is a bathroom on each level including 2 in basement (4 total). 2 showers total which was more than perfect for our group of 14 adults. I loved that they laid out towels on each bed. Felt so welcoming. The basement gathering area is huge and nice and cold for those who get hot when they sleep. We loved the cottage feel of the entire place. And the best part is that we walked everywhere. You are a minute to water and downtown! We would definitely book again.

Our family had a great weekend at this property. The home was very spacious and comfortable and the location couldn’t be more perfect, with short walks to all the shopping and dining that Saugatuck has to offer. We would definitely stay at the Kalaview again.

Large house with group space. Enjoyed the fire pit and yard! Needs some updates, but overall, property is reflected in photos as is.

This house was perfect for our long weekend family grip. It was a perfect location to food and shops. We could walk everywhere. There was a festival in town which was an added bonus.

We had a great stay at this lovely place in Saugatuck. The location is perfect, adjacent to town and adjacent to the chainlink ferry. We took the ferry and then walked to the beach with my 83-year-old mom. The place is perfect for 10 people and accommodates more if kids sleep on couches.

House was good size for our group. But housekeeping needs to pay more attention to detail. There was a bag of bathroom trash left by the back sliding door when we arrived and also towels left hanging on the back of the bedroom door that we assumed were left by previous guests. Great location and walking distance to shopping and food.

Erfect

This was our third summer trip to Michigan with friends. We've been to South Haven, New Buffalo, and now Saugatuk. Saugatuk is the favorite. It's a great little town with plenty of stuff to do for the adults and kids. This house worked great for the 3 families. The kids took over the basement, two couples each had a room and shared full bath on the main floor, and the third couple had the upstairs. The location is just great. We were able to easily walk to everything. And we felt comfortable letting the kids walk into town on their own. The property could use some work and cleaning up but we would stay there again.

Perfect extended family get away, walking distance to chain ferry and the heart of downtown - ideal for larger groups. WiFi didn’t work the whole time we were there, even when it was rebooted, but I loved that no-one could plug in or watch tv - could be an issue for some though. Also, the couch in the all seasons room was old and torn, so we daren’t sit on it for fear of tearing it more and making it worse - could need updating. Overall though, a wonderful cottage and a beautiful few days in Saugatuck!

Enough room for our extended family. Close walk to town. Perfect place for us - we had a wonderful stay!

Amenities and location were better than expected. The blocks are short in town so you can quickly grab coffee, sit at riverfront decks, walk onto charter boat or chain ferry to the dunes. We walked off the charter having limited out in 4 hours and rolled our cooler of cleaned fish right to the house. Whole town came out for Wednesday’s music in park. Bike trail to Holland was flat and an easy 8-10 miles. I like alone time on vacation so was glad there were three sitting areas as well as the long table that comfortably sits 10. Owners responded to reviews by stocking with blender, coffee maker, and fire ring (bring wood). We brought air mattress for basement since it is the coolest sleeping area in house and did use the bedroom in former attic as there was a window air conditioner. This cottage has Chautauqua charm. Enjoyed book collection. Only update i would do is put cleanable seat covers on basement couches similar to the couches upstairs. Thanks for a nice vacation spot!

The location of this property is its best feature. We enjoyed the walkability to downtown while nestled in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and spacious, and we loved the back deck and backyard. We had a bonfire our first night and had a private yoga class the next morning. We found that the kitchen wasn't very stocked, so bring your own tools, spices, etc. We weren't even able to make coffee in the morning. Also, the house does not sleep so many people as it says in beds--that number corresponds to number of people who can sleep including on couches. Lastly, the AC did not work very well, so those sleeping on the third floor had a couple of very sweaty nights. (This during an very hot May.) I personally did not sleep well. But we did have such a nice time in Saugatuck and overall this home met our needs.

Kalaview was a great house for 13 people and dogs. It was very convenient to downtown....much easier to walk than load and unload 6 kids! We all give it a thumbs up👍. Some in the group had never been to Michigan. They now know why we love it so!

Very spacious and accommodating. Very clean and so close to town. Was awesome to just park and not drive anywhere for 3 days. 4th time coming to Saugatuck and this is by far our favorite house. Thanks so much The Gillette Family
