What a great place to make memories! It was perfect. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and plenty areas for us to just sit and visit. We took in lovely neighborhood walks, and some of us even ventured out on the bikes provided. We would highly recommend it.

This home was perfect for my family of 4 to stay in while we visited my family who lives 2 blocks away. The proximity to the Cherry and Pickwick shops was perfect and overall it’s an amazing centra location in Springfield. Cindy was perfectly communicative and made the stay very easy for us. The house has its amazing original charm and is updated in the ways it counts (kitchen and bathrooms, basement). The beds were so soft and comfortable! Having a garage available was amazing too.

My daughter, the bride had this place along with her bridal attendants. It was absolutely perfect. Great home, very accommodating hostess, and a wonderful stay.

Oh how we loved loved loved this property! The owner was phenomenal and they stay was awesome. There is a saying we use in our home, its never what happens its how you respond. Our fridge went out at the cottage, and this sweet precious woman who was sick with the flu, figured a way to get a brand new fridge THE SAME DAY, within hours of being notified the fridge went out. TO TOP IT OFF, she refunded me for the food I lost. All with a smile. Could not say enough about this place and the owner. The heart of this place is as good as gold!

Our experience at the cottage was amazing! The host was quick to respond to any questions and check in instructions were easy to understand. The house was spotless and absolutely beautiful. Great location, beautiful landscaping, comfortable beds, I could go on and on.,,.. We will be back!!

We enjoyed our stay here so much. Everything was thought of. The home was clean, well stocked, and in the PERFECT location for our basketball tournament that took us all over the city. We will book here again for next year's tournament!

Debating on whether to share this beautiful rental with anyone. Such a beautiful home with every detail thought through. My family only stayed two nights but it was perfect . Close to campus which made commute to my sons graduation very stress free.

This rental was perfect for our family. Wonderfully decorated-comfortable beds-close to our parents home. Loved staying here over a hotel. Owner was very accommodating to our requests. Great rental.

This was an amazing weekend at a lovely cottage. We had a group of 7 ladies traveling from out of town and our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The space has 4 adult beds, not 6, however, as 2 are children’s beds in an enclave off of the master. Note that you’ll have to pay an extra $25 per night to access the 4th bed in the basement and parking can be a little tricky if you have multiple vehicles. (This home shares a driveway, so if there are more than 2-3 cars, you’ll be parking on a narrow street.) Those minor things did not take away from our excellent stay, though. This rental was worth the cost for sure.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Bissman cottage and would consider returning again. This home is lovingly kept and perfect for low-key gatherings. We enjoyed walking to the shops on Cherry street and had lovely weather to luxuriate in the outdoor spaces. The furnishings were clean and comfortable and we definitely felt at home. Only minor issues to note: If you are at all sensitive to fragrance, ask for the scent warmers to be removed (there are several in each room). The grandfather clock, while charming, will chime loudly every hour of the day and night unless manually stopped. There was some difficulty prior to our stay as our group originally booked on airbnb and was cancelled in error by the host days before our travel. The only way to re-establish our reservation was to use VRBO, a platform less preferred. And, while this home is suitable for young children, there is no gear provided (e.g. high chair, dinnerware, safety gates, outlet covers, infant crib). On close inspection of the provided pictures, the “built in crib” is adorable, but indeed only appropriate and safe for older toddlers. More features we enjoyed: The kitchen is well-stocked and has newer, well- functioning appliances. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure is fantastic. Lots of space to unpack in drawers and closets. Overall, this charming home made for a restful and enjoyable stay in Springfield.
