Gordon and Vlasta were just wonderful hosts. And their guest cottage sits behind their home just 50 feet from the water. It was a relaxing time, just walking along the beach, and paddling out directly out from their property. Gordon even taught me how to make a proper Mai Tai! We look forward to staying with them again!

I was so happy when we arrived at Padders Dream. We were welcomed by Gordon and Vlasta who showed us around our cottage and told what was where etc. We were made to feel part of the family and I instantly fell in love with the cottage and our hosts. The cottage was roomy and exceptionally clean. We had everything we could possibly require. We loved the out door shower and never used the inside one. We woke for a few early sunrises and swam in the glorious ocean everyday. 12 days just doesn’t seem enough. This is our fourth year at Lanikai and I must say this property is the best we have rented. Looking forward to coming back again next year, but this time it will be like returning to family. Thanks for being the perfect hosts with the perfect location.

This was a dream vacation for our family of four! To wake up early and watch the sunrise while drinking your coffee on one of the world's most beautiful beaches is an unforgettable experience! The house had everything we needed and definitely take advantage of the outdoor shower, it's incredible! Our hosts Gordon and Vlasta were so incredibly kind and helpful, they also had a variety of water toys for us to use. We paddle boarded everyday, snorkeled and even kayaked out to the Mokes. The location was great for us to be able to walk right to the pill box hike but also to travel to other parts of the island. We cannot wait to return and stay here again. It is truly paradise!

Simply amazing! We had a great time staying at Gordon & Vlasta home in Lanikai. They were very accommodating and gave us full use of the property. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and the location was by far the best on the beach. Every morning we would wake and watch the sunrise in the Adirondack chairs while sipping coffee and planning where we would paddle out and surf, kayak, snorkel, or just hang on the beach. There are several small island that we could paddle to and explore as well. The outdoor shower was a big hit and it had warm water so there was no need to shower inside. There's a Restaurant called Buzzs steak house that is within walking distance and the food is also amazing and serves a killer calamari. The pillbox is a hike that is also within walking distance and has great views of the east side of Oahu. Life is short and there's no time like the present. I high recommend staying at Gordons & Vlasta home because it will be an experience that you will enjoy and wont forget. I'm already planning my next trip and I will be staying here again! Thanks! When we arrived at Paddlers Paradise, we were greeted by Vlasta and Gordon. They showed us the entire property and all of its amenities prior to entering the house, The neighborhood was clean, quiet and lush. When our family walked to the beach front, we were blown away by the views and instant tranquil vibe that the area had. There was a table for us to have dinner outside by the ocean, a great big, manicured yard for us to lounge and play in and the house was the perfect size for our family of four. The outside shower made it really convenient after swimming and playing on the beach. The inside of the property was clean, well lit with natural light and had plenty of supplies for us to cook and live as if we were at home. We were also able to hang out in the front yard, bbq and hang out under the gazebo. The location is close to lots of great places to eat, shopping and other attractions that visitors might want to check out. There was equipment for us to snorkel, paddle board, and kayak. The place was so inviting that you don't even want to leave the tranquility of the space. Sunrises were amazing. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat. We had a great time doing absolutely nothing and watching nature all around us. It is truly a magical place to stay!

Vlasta and Gordon are pros hosting and creating a secluded, private, and just all around lovely experience! We are Homeaway people who host in Malibu so we know best experience! Their location is the best Lanikai has to offer, as we visit frequently.

My wife And 9 month old daughter stayed at the cottage for 7 days they had a Pak n play so that was a plus. Beach access was the best feature of the property There’s also a paddle board, kayaks & plenty of water floats you can use. The outdoor shower was used every day and had visits from the geckos often. Kitchen is equipped enough with necessities including the blender we used to purée my daughters food, there’s no exhaust fan on top of stove but it is well ventilated just open the windows which all have screens. The bed was a little bit too firm for our liking we ended up sleeping in the couch due to it was more comfortable. The gate is sometimes a hassle opening and closing specially when it’s raining, the water does collect in front of the driveway gate so your feet will get wet when you close the gate, it would be nice to have an automatic gate..

Wonderful vacation. We came in June for our twin daughters high school graduation trip. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. The house is definitely a small beach shack but located on the BEST place on Lanikai Beach. If you need a "resort" with air conditioning, a boring pool and lots of people this is not the place for you. If you are looking to experience the true Hawaii on the best beach on the island then this is absolutely the place you want to be! Gordon and Vlasta are wonderful hosts and the property has everything you could want or need for a fabulous time at the beach. We used the paddle board and kayak to go out to the Mokulua's, we used the boogie boards and snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, beach mats and beach umbrella. We usually ate our dinner just out in the back on the wonderful counter high table that overlooks Lanikai beach. For a great meal just head over to Hibachi and get some delicious poke and have your meal looking out at the beach with a glass of wine or beer! We pretty much never left the property except to grab food. If you get up at 5:30am you can watch the sunrise over the ocean with a cup of coffee in your hand. Thank you for the best stay and we will 100% stay here again!!

What is a paddler’s dream? It’s always having the wind at your back and calm seas before you. It’s being able to sit comfortably and immerse oneself in a warm, soothing sun and crystal-clear seas. It’s being on a body of water most can only hope to see and experience in their lifetimes. Metaphorically speaking, this also sums up our experience at the Paddler’s Dream cottage in Lanikai. This charming property is amply named and checks off all the boxes you need. Comfortable? Check. Invigorating? Check. Tranquil? Check. The owners are Vlasta and Gordon, and they couldn’t have been more pleasant. Or helpful. They provided an uber clean home, all the comforts you’d ever need, and Lanikai provided the breathtaking views in which to enjoy them. This was our second time staying at Paddler’s Dream. And as long as the the tradewinds of life push us in the right direction, we will indeed be back.

This was not only the perfect vacation but the perfect rental. Quite, spacious, convienent and truly beachfront. We won't stay anywhere else, this is our spot. We couldn't have asked for more, other then more time to stay. The owners were so pleasants and accommodating, we are already planning a return trip!

Paddlers Dream is a wonderful place to rest, relax, restore yourself and get away from everyday life. Gordon and Vlasta are gracious hosts and have stocked the cottage with everything you need and if it's not there they will get it for you. Lanikai Bay is gorgeous! The colors of the water is breathtaking. The beach is right there and you can enjoy it from comfy chairs on the grass or on the sand. Snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking or swimming are all options as they have the equipment for you to use. We enjoyed the quietness of the community and cooked most of our dinners in. This was perfect after a day of diving with Island Divers in Hawaii Kai, being able to come "home" and sit by the water or relax in their backyard gazebo. This was great for the two of us, but a family would really enjoy the access to the beach with all the comforts of home just a few steps away. We highly recommend this property.

Paddlers Dream was the ideal place for our girl's trip to Oahu! When my mother, sisters and I saw this picture, we were convinced this was the place for us. We had no idea how much it would exceed our expectations! Every morning, coffee in hand, we watched the sunrise on the most beautiful beach on the island! We had other adventures planned but it was fun to just stay and enjoy the beach and swim. Vlasta and Gordan had many nice touches inside and out of the cottage to make everything easy and enjoyable. Outside, they provided beach chairs, snorkeling gear, inter tubes, boogie boards, beach mats, life jackets, and even a cooler to put drinks in. The cottage was the perfect size for us. It had everything we needed to cook with and a huge soft sofa with lots of movies for us to watch for that one rainy day. One very nice touch was the welcome package of coffee, fruit and snacks waiting for us on arrival. The location of the cottage is also great! It is walking distance to the Pill Box Hike, a must do if you are a hiker. It is an easy drive to grocery stores, farmers markets, souvenirs and dining. This place was the best, we will definitely go back and recommend it to our friends and family!

First off, Gordon & Vlasta are the best hosts anyone can ask for. We had breakfast everyday on the table overlooking Lanikai beach and watched the sunrise between the Mokes. The kitchen is well stocked with condiments & pots/pans so you can prepare meals if that is your thing. The cottage is older, but well kept and above all, very clean. Beach access is at the end of the property down a few steps. You will feel the "Ohana" here. Aloha Gordon & Vlasta!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Vlasta and Gordon were so nice and helpful! There were four of us that stayed here and we loved being so close to the beach! The cottage came with every thing we needed and Vlasta graciously let us use any of her items for the beach: chairs, floaties, you name it. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

Our family of four (2 children) just completed a wonderful vacation on Lanikai with Gordon and Vlasta as our hosts. You cannot pick a better place to stay if you love the beach. The cottage was perfect for our family of four and we took full advantage of the multiple places to eat outdoors while taking in the lovely scenery. Snorkeling and swimming at Lanikai beach is fantastic. Gordon and Vlasta are wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome and treated us like "ohana" from day one.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. To start, the property owners were so kind and just wonderful people. Vlasta, Gordon, and Jove were so sweet and we enjoyed talking with them. They are full of great ideas if you're looking for things to do around the island. The property itself is situated at the very end of Lanikai beach, so even on busy days it's not overwhelming on the beach at all. The house is modest and comfortable. There is air conditioner in the bedroom for those who need to have a chilly room to sleep. Otherwise the home has many windows to allow the breeze to come in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat at home. The indoor shower is small, but there is an outdoor shower which we used all the time which was comfortable and allowed you to enjoy an open sky. These are the good things about the property. The great thing is being right on the beach. You are just steps away from sitting on the beach and if needed you can always "come home" for a beer or to use the rest room. The property is loaded with things to utilize on the beach. They provided floats, boogie boards, a kayak, and a long board for paddling. There is no end to the activities you can enjoy. The best part is, if you change your mind about what activity you want to partake on, you can just put it back and pick something else without the hassle. Gordon said it best: "If you live even five minutes away from the beach you may as well live five miles away because you still need to pack everything up and bring it all down to the beach". I couldn't agree more. It was wonderful to have everything we needed at all times. Barefoot living is the way to be when visiting Hawaii. We will be back at this property soon!

The property is well kept. It felt just like home and very relaxing the entire time I was there. I will definitely return. I especially enjoyed the convenient beach access where I went snorkling daily followed by a warm outdoor shower. Everything you could want was available. A real Hawaiian dream vacation. Even though a lot has changed since I lived in Kailua in the early 70's ( more traffic and and numbers of people) , once you are on the property and closed the gate, it was like you were in another world.

Cottage was very comfortable, roomy and well stocked with the little things that make a big difference. Loved the outdoor shower especially in the rain! There is no better location, steps from one of the planets most beautiful beaches. Everyday was a new adventure! Sunrise, moonrise, water, mountains- changed everyday and made it very tough to leave. When you think of vacation it is usually the location. What made this vacation very special was the unexpected feeling of sharing it with family and friends. Vlasta and Gordon are amazing! We are blessed to have crossed paths with them, their family and friends. We will be back!

Very convenient for kayaking, pill box treks, beach access, paddling to the Moke's. Hosts Gordon & Vlasta were awesome and provided tips for hot spots to snorkel, island travel to the Moke's and highlights in the area/island. Felt like home away from home with regards to safe environment and fun family activities on spacious property. Cozy accommodations for our family of four (all adults). One large grocery trip was all we needed, and all amenities for cooking/grilling provided. Enjoyed outdoor spa-like shower and cozy robes. We would gladly return for this beautiful piece/peace of God's creation if we every return to Oahu. Mahalo!

One of a kind location with one of kind hosts. Truly a treasure! It has always been a dream of mine to stay at a beach front property. So thankful to Vlasta and Gordon for giving us the opportunity. It truly was a dream come true. It's such an amazing location it's hard to leave and go explore when paradise is only steps away.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a week when visiting our two kids at University of Hawaii. The cottage was larger than expected and had everything we needed. We started every morning watching the sunrise on the beach followed by a swim in the warm clear green water and ended every evening with a refreshing outdoor shower! Gordon and Vlasta were very friendly and welcoming and even provided some snacks which was very nice! The cottage is located in the most perfect spot on the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. We fantasized ever day about living there forever and I can honestly say I miss it! I am already dreaming of another visit soon! Thanks for sharing your beautiful property Gordon and Vlasta!

It was amazing experience. Everything was more than I expected. I think this cottage is located in the best positoin of Lanikai beach. The cottage was much larger than I imagined, and provided all of the things I needed/wanted. Various cookware, spices, shopping bags, beach goods/toys, laundry soup and even 2 bikes! We enjoy cycling in Kailua town without rental. We defanately want to come back this fantastic place in near future! We highly appreciate Gordon & Vlasta to make our vacaton wondeful!

Can I first say super awesome hosts! They really make us felt like home! Off to the stellar location and let me say that I have never slept as well in my entire life as I did there for the week that we had our staycation it was glorious! We arrived to a large wooden gate entry they opened to a beautiful well maintained landscaped property that say literally on the beach! Talk about million dollar view to die for! Or say the best beach photo you even seen from a calendar this is it! We enjoyed a week waking up and falling asleep to the ocean waves. Paddling our hearts out and the family just enjoyed that disconnect from the social media world and just had good ole fun. It couldn't of happened if it wasn't for our great hosts that made our stay so relaxing Not to forget the most awesome HOT outdoor shower, felt amazing. Full kitchen, bedroom living room bathroom and outdoor grill and seating area. Oh and I swear the last thing the best seat on the whole beach their bench overlooking the pacific and most perfect view of them mokes. Thank you both so much for the best vacation we be happy to return in the near future!

We stayed here end of July, 2 adults, 2 kids. The highlight of this cottage is the beach; our jaws dropped when we saw the beach, it's perfect! We were warmly welcomed by the hosts as soon as we arrived and they were very helpful throughout the stay. This being our 3rd time in Oahu, we were content to stay in and enjoy the beach all afternoon, when there is more shade on the lawn. The kids enjoyed the beach and especially the swinging rope that were tied from the coconut tree. We had breakfast on the lawn and dinner on the bench. Kailua town is 5 minutes away and it has everything we need, Target, restaurants, juice place, Foodland, Whole Foods, shaved ice. It's a nice drive to Honolulu over the Pali Hwy where you can take a peek at the overcrowded Waikiki beach with the tons of people, then come back to your spacious cottage, private parking and the most beautiful beach on the island.
