We very much enjoyed this tranquil, beautiful, Home by the Sea, with breathtaking views of the ocean, nestled amongst established trees, with birds and even seals frequenting close by. It is also convenient to a grocery store, gas station, and restaurants, though you wouldn't know it by the lush surroundings.

A couple of comments which should NOT be viewed as complaints: 1) We could not get the regular oven to work properly. The display is very dim and we could never get setting the oven temp to show. 2) The instruction book says the BBQ has a direct propane line, not a tank. This is not true. I added a note about that in the instructions. The TV use instructions are outdated although we got everything to work. There was no sound on regular tv until I rebooted the cable box.

This was our second 2 week stay here . We love this place and hope to come back again. The private location at the end of the lane and overlooking the Trinidad Harbor is perfect. We never tired of looking out the expansive windows to see the tide change effect on the beach below the house, to watch the activity of boats, kayakers and paddle boarders in the harbor and the changing weather from fog to sunshine . The house is comfortably and attractively furnished. The gas fireplace was a welcome and cozy plus on a cool foggy morning. Love the small community of Trinidad as well. Can't say enough good things about this place. Had only one complaint. The deck barbecue had not been cleaned from the previous use. We could live with that. Jim and Marilyn

If you are a family or two couples, be aware that the second bedroom is upstairs in an open loft, so there is no aural privacy up there. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and linens, but bring your own coffee, tea, cooking oil, and other basics.From the driveway there are trails down to the lovely beach.Off of the trail are steps that lead up into town, where there is a very good supermarket that has everything you might need.

This was the most perfect house for a weekend in Humboldt county. The house is set back and away and is very private. The view is spectacular! We will definitely book again in the future! Loved this house!

The property had a spectacular view, but it was a bit dated. When we arrived the alarm went off & we had a hard time getting it to stop, but eventually the property manager was able to get it turned off. The bathroom was a bit small. The neighbor continued to close & lock the gate, which was a inconvenience when we were coming and going. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

We decided to visit the Redwoods for our kids Spring Break and found this unique spot for our family. Trinidad is a beautiful small town, quiet and isolated. You have the opportunity to enjoy the forest while enjoying the views and sounds of the ocean. The home itself has its own charm, it’s an older style, does creek when you walk and is on septic, but has everything you need for a relaxing and tranquil retreat from the city. Easy drive to neighboring Redwood destinations and a little market for all your eating needs.

The home was perfect for our short getaway. Beautiful location overlooking Trinidad Harbor. Cozy and relaxing accommodations and the weather was perfect during our entire stay... we will return again.

Well equipped kitchen and comfortable house overall. We were fortunate to not lose power but house is set up with ample lanterns and flashlights. This house is perched on the cliff overlooking a beach and Trinidad Bay and surrounded by trees. We loved it! Through fog and sun and lovely sunsets, a keeper for sure. Very cozy with gas fireplace, good sized deck, eclectic art, sculpture, and furniture from many different cultures, and generous supplies, an increasingly unusual feature these days. The house was clean and comfortable. Mostly just beautiful! Will def. stay again.

Perfect property for our first time visit to the Pacific Ocean. Quiet and secluded. Loved sitting on the deck with the Ocean views and the sound of the crashing waves. Centrally located to all the things we wanted to see and do. The small town of Trinidad has it's own special charm as well. Michelle and I loved it and plan on returning.
