Lovely views, just a few steps down the deck and on to the sandy beach!
We went just before high season and it was perfection!
Our host, Steve, was over the top helpful with the most spot on recommendations of places to visit for us.
Will definitely return again!

We had a great time at ‘Breath of Fresh Air. The house was extremely clean, kitchen was well stocked and the views of the beach are breathtaking. Every bedroom has a view and the balcony outside the master bedroom overlooking the beach is beautiful. We enjoyed seeing sunrises every day from our room. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We stayed at Breath of Fresh Air the week of Christmas through NewYear. The owner was extremely helpful with questions and also gave us several suggestions on place in the area to eat.
We enjoyed a relaxing stay and spent days watching the ocean from the double-decker porch as well as the comfortable living room. The home is just as advertised only steps away from the beach. We enjoyed walking the beach, finding shark teeth and seeing many dolphin.
We explored and walked the three piers in the area, as well as a boardwalk in the park at Surf City. Would definitely consider a return visit.

Nice home right on the beach. Nightly rate was less than others so we gave it a try. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the home, however it does lack upgrades that would make it a much more enjoyable stay (kitchen and bath countertops, showers, bath sink vanities very short, etc.). Laminate floors downstairs are nice, carpet upstairs could use an upgrade to laminate floors.
Initial communication with the property manager was good, however messages went unreturned once we made payment. We had a simple request to add a day to the front or back of the trip, tried more than once to make contact, never received a reply.
Again, if you are on a tight budget this place will work just fine. If you are looking for a more upscale experience, consider another option.

You walk in and immediately see and hear the ocean. The view of sunrise and sunset is breathtaking. All of us loved our stay.

This duplex was great for our family of six. Beautiful views of the ocean. Felt like home with it being in a quaint ‘neighborhood’. The beach wasn’t crowded so the grandkids and dog could run and play. The owner was responsive and pleasant during the entire renting process. Very happy with our choice.

You can’t get any closer to the beach!! We loved being able to walk off the deck and be in the sand. It is so convenient. We also enjoyed biking into Surf City and the safe walking/biking lanes. The beach is not very crowded which is a nice change from other places we’ve been and yet we were only a short drive from Surf City for livelier evenings. We grilled one evening and the home was well equipped with all the kitchen items we needed for dinner for 6. This is a very nice home for a family vacation.

2nd year at Topsail. We love it there. We had 3 adults and 2 small children in the house. New to this area which worked out great. Wide beach. Walked across street to kayak. Accommodations were great. Owner communicated well and we took him up on a few restaurant recommendations which were spot on.

My family loved our week here. The house was very clean and in a great location. Steve was quick with communication, suggestions, and answering my questions both leading up to the trip and during our stay. If we ever come back to Topsail Island, we would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! It was very clean. The only draw backs were that there was no furniture on the upper deck off of the bedrooms and the mattresses were a bit lumpy and/or the twin bed was short for our tall adult kids. We saw dolphins multiple days and typically a couple times a day. Lovely!

This is our fourth time to stay at this property and the location is the best. Close to Surf City and other area's and beach in this area is quiet this time of year. Love to be able to walk out the door and be on the beach. My husband loves to surf fish while there and in this location can do it daily. Access to fresh seafood with a short drive. Home is well equipped for cooking. Host is very accessible and accomodating. Will not be our last vacation there. Deb

As stated in listing. Directly on beach. Loved that dogs are welcomed and able to enjoy the beach as well!
Remember to bring your own linens and bath/kitchen towels. It’s noted in the agreement but slipped my mind. Rented many a house and those amenities were always provided. Regardless would rent again! We had a beautiful week!

Absolutely amazing place! Comfortable place with amazing views. We were amazed at how close to the beach it is. Literally, steps away from it. The deck is great. Super spacious. The dogs loved it, especially the younger one who was fascinated by all the beach action. Steven is very responsive, even during his own vacation. The area is quiet and just a short drive from the action at Surf City. We are already planning our trip for next year. This will be our yearly tradition.

We had 3 weeks of glorious weather in Feb/March and the beach was pristine. It could not have been more convenient. Thankful to have been able to bring the dogs.

The location can’t be beat, and Steve is an amazing host. Only steps away from the beach and with 2 nice patios overlooking the ocean. Would definitely stay here again (this is our 2nd stay with this host, but last time we were on the other side of this same property.) Highly recommend!

This property is nicely located between the two entrances of the island and convenient to virtually everything important.
The property was well appointed and comfortable. The views were amazing and beach access was literally yards out the back door…

I never took a risk on using Verbo. The host was amazing and very receptive to our questions. We had a delightful time! Dogs were able to be on the beach and had a great time! Had our grand daughters with us, 2 dogs and 3 adults!

This property is right on the beach. Very clean. Comfy beds and furniture. Adequate wi-if and tvs. No complaints from our 11 and 13 year olds. The owner is available and helpful. No complaints here. I hope to stay here again.

Very Happy With House
My family and I were very happy with this property, staying for a week in June and would return. We found the property overall to be clean (floors, counters etc good; though upstairs carpet could be replaced in some areas due to stains) and we were happy that the kitchen was well supplied with pots & pans, utensils etc. It was hot out (high 90's and humid a couple of days) and the air conditioning systems worked well. Also, the TV and internet worked well which was nice when it was raining outside.

Enjoyed Another Amazing Week!
This was our second time staying at A Breath of Fresh Aire and we had another amazing week! You cannot beat the proximity to the beach! The place was clean, our host was responsive and helpful as always, and the view was fantastic. Despite being there Memorial Day weekend the beach wasn't crowded and the streets were quite. With three younger ones we love being able to walk down a few steps to get to the ocean, drinking our morning coffee on the deck and looking at the stars on the deck after the kids are in bed. We will definitely be booking this place again!

Steve, Mike, and I are so glad we found your place six years ago and that YOU ACCEPTED DOGS! Your home is always pristine clean, kitchen stocked, and wifi working.
We love your deck with only a few steps to beach access. Our two dogs enjoy running on the beach, chasing the birds, and going to all the outdoor seating restaurants for dinner.
We hope to be back again in 2023. Thank you for sharing your home.
