Amazing property in the rainforest. The hot tub was so nice and relaxing. Rental had everything we needed. Was about 6 minutes drive from town. I felt very safe and comfortable staying there. Super clean. The showers were amazing.

Our stay at Lorenzo's was just delightful. We loved La Fortuna. It was our first trip to Costa Rica so I had many questions before booking, Lorenzo answered promptly and thoroughly and everything was just as advertised! The rental office was very informative on check-in and reserving our tours with them was easy as well. Mary's BBQ, walking distance from the house, was delicious and the staff was so friendly, they even set one of their tv's to an NFL playoff game we wanted to watch, we highly recommend!!! The birds in the morning were special to see and the sloth sighting very exciting! Thank you for our welcome pineapple (best we have every had!!) and for making our stay so comfortable!

Lovely property ...1 mile from town or less lots to do near by the owner feeds the birds every morning so you get a show 8f you love birds

Very safe. Kind owner presented us with a pineapple on arrival. Wonderful garden around the house. Private and fun. Close to town. Cute family farm.

The staff was great. Very helpful and very responsive. The property was very clean, kitchen equipped. We were given fresh towels as needed by Lorenzo who was great. We had some tiny insects in one bathroom but did not disrupt our quality of stay.

We enjoyed staying at this place. The house was big enough for the four of us. It has its own charming style. We enjoyed the hot tub too. We checked in at the office that was very helpful throughout our stay. The house is just 5 min drive from the center of the town. Lorenzo greeted us with a pineapple. Later on, he took us on a walk and showed us sloths. His English is not great but the office compensates for that. Our messages were answered promptly. They provided us with helpful tips and bookings for some of the activities. They even booked a restaurant table for us for one of the nights. Overall, this is a great place to stay in La Fortuna.

The property was a perfect place for our stay. It is just outside the city center, but close enough for convenience. The property manager/owner was helpful and welcoming. Each morning, there were birds feeding while we had our coffee on the patio. My family all had a wonderful time.

This place was super cute and perfect for our family! The kids enjoyed the whirlpool. The sounds of the jungle at night were amazing! The location was perfect somewhat away from all the traffic. We washed our clothes in the washer outside. Took us a while but we figured it out! There is no dryer and you have to hang dry your clothes! It was a great experience staying in a shipping container! We would recommend this place to our friends and family! Pura Vita! God bless!

The outdoors of the property is surrounded with beautiful trees. However I wouldn’t put “luxury” in the title of the property, as I have stayed in other properties in the area for around the same price that are much nicer for around the same price per night. We had a car but did do the walk into town one night and it’s a bit far if you’re doing it every day. There are a lot of gaps around the doors so many bugs get in. The AC does work well in the bedrooms but they are VERY noisy. One would turn on and the whole container would shake. The beds are not comfortable. The hot tub is ok but takes long to heat. On our last day, the water was shut off without warning. We ended up not staying the last night and finding a cool property about an hour away with a better view. I wouldn’t stay at this property again - there are better options in the La Fortuna area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three days here. Lorenzo, the owner, put bananas on the tree outside the backyard every morning so we could watch the birds, lizards, and iguanas. The unit is a repurposed container with a living room addition. Bedrooms have air conditioning for comfortable sleeping. The covered hot tub complete with water fall takes about 30 minutes to heat up, but is also quite refreshing without the heat on warm days.. The location is about a mile our of town making it private, but potentially hazardous walking. We had a car and chose to drive. Pay attention to one way streets! We made reservations for our activities through the management company and were very pleased. I highly recommend the waterfall repelling for families with older kids. We did it with Maquique Canyoning and rappelling.

Location is great!!! Lorenzo was incredibly friendly and showed us the sloths on the property which he didn’t have to do. Would stay again!!!

As many have commented Lorenzo is an excellent host showing us his sloths and the people at the Home stay office made the check-in process seamless as well as organizing tours. The property is lovely but the accommodation, as advertised is small and though we (2 couples) enjoyed our stay it isn't a place to just hang out for a leisurely R&R. Used as a place to lay your head on a double bed with only one pillow per person while you do other things it was fine.

The property was close to town and restaurants but tucked back away from main road. Great privacy. Host Lorenzo put fresh fruit out close to house to attract beautiful birds each morning. I would highly recommend this vrbo for anyone looking to get a great Costa Rican experience!!

Secluded, but close to everything. Much larger than you would think. Hot tub was also amazing. It has everything you need! Lorenzo was awesome!

The property is smaller than depicted on their site. It is very clean, has everything you need and also an outdoor spa. Air conditioning is quite loud in one room.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was the perfect end to every day. The birds every day were awesome. The house was just far enough away from town but close enough at the same time. I would highly recommend staying here and when we come back I will definitely book here again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Also thank you for being so flexible with our dates when the airline tried to change our flight!

Check in was easy even though we were early. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The house, a converted shipping container was well done. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living area. The outdoor jacuzzi was great. Lorenzo set bananas out every morning morning and the variety of birds that showed up was amazing. We could watch from the living area or even closer on the patio. The highlight was Lorenzo pointing out a sloth ( with a brand new baby) in a tree 100 m from our house. Then another sloth the next day we could see from our driveway. It is a mile or so out of town, so it was an easy drive to town, but not convenient for walking. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Cozy and close to all the all the attractions we were interested in. Hosts are very responsive and friendly!

Lorenzo is an excellent host and most willing to make sure your stay is enjoyable.

It was perfect for us, check in was easy, location was perfect, beautiful flowers all around, the inside had everything that we needed. TV and A/C worked great, but the best thing was when Lorenzo and family took us on a tour of beautiful butterflies, birds, frogs and a sloth! Can’t say enough about the hospitality that we were shown from his mom and dad. Highly recommend and we will be back. Ken and Regina

House was small but enough room for 2 couples. Super convenient to the main square, few min drive, for shopping, restaurants, fresh produce. Each room is the same size with bath attached, kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, even a blender to make our own cocktails. The beds only have 1 pillow for each person, so could definitely use additional. They set out fruit for the birds outside the big window and they were so pretty to watch (I am not a bird person but these were so unique). The hot tub is nice but make sure you allow ~2 hrs to warm up. House felt very private and we enjoyed our stay in La Fortuna. If you need to do laundry - they do not have printed instructions so ask at the desk during check-in (unless you speak Spanish) as I had a hard time communicating with the housekeeper that came over to show me how to use it. I ended up not using it. It is a washer and rinser, no dryer - you hang clothes on the line. Since it is so humid would likely take a while to dry. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house was affordable and comfortable for 3 nights.

This place was everything I wanted it to be. It felt secluded and was far enough out of town and the landscaping made it feel like there aren't other houses around. This house is just like the listing and I enjoyed everything about it.

My daughter and I stayed at this property for a few nights while visiting the La Fortuna area. The property is located about one mile outside the main town, which is just enough to have some privacy and experience more serenity of the surroundings. Lorenzo was a very hospitable and friendly host. At one point, he kindly stepped in and helped us with the semi-automatic washing machine. He also gave us a guided tour of the surrounding forest and pointed out a family of Sloths; this was a highlight and capped off our trip to Cost Rica, since they had been elusive to that point. The property was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Soaking in the tree house spa every night was a unique experience in itself. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

We stayed here for a few nights in August! We loved the ambience. Looking out you are surrounded by rain forest, you can hear the running stream and birds. We also saw a sloth on the property. Lorenzo is a great host. Always has a smile and takes cares of any needs promptly. The house is a shipping container, with a kitchen in the middle and the two bedrooms and the baths rooms on either side. So the bedrooms are tiny. They only have twin size bed in both so it is ideal for a couple or very young children. Also when it rains it is loud inside as it is a metal container. We kept waking up in the middle of the night.

This place was perfect. The owner was great to deal with and went out of his way to make sure we saw nature around us too. (Sloths, birds, and Toucans on the property.). Quiet. Perfect place to relax.

I stayed here with my friend for 5 nights during our visit to Fortuna. It was just under a mile from the main square in La Fortuna so it was easy to travel anywhere. It was so peaceful and quiet- all you could hear was nature. The beautiful sounds of birds and frogs all day and night. The best part was that every morning the caretaker Lorenzo would come out plantains out on trees for the birds and there was a stunning variety of birds that would come every morning. We sat there for hours sometimes drinking coffee and watching the birds. There are also sloths on the property and Lorenzo can usually point them out for you. My only advice would be to add a screen door to the front door and the slider to let more of a breeze through. But I much prefer fresh air over AC. But it was so tranquil and there was a babbling brook nearby which you could hear 24/7- I even tried to record the nature and water sounds on my phone to bring home with me. I would definitely stay here again!

Property Management and the host we're totally five stars. Very lovely setting and would definitely return. The property management company was over the top in general helpfulness and readily available.

We really enjoyed our two nights here. The little details like having a birdfeeder out front and the host pointing out sloths in the trees near the property made it special. Very private and secluded location away from the bustle of Fortuna Center. Better if you have a car.
