Stayed for 1 week in early June. Absolutely loved the cottage. It had everything you could need so was very comfortable. Dave was there to greet us, check us in, and even offered to cook us a pair of lobsters! He even had suggestions for what local spots to check out and his advice did not disappoint. Great place, would recommend, and will stay again.

It was cold and rainy when we arrived - fireplace was on when we walked in and it was very inviting !! We were 2 couples - one stayed in master bedroom with ensuite and the other side of cottage had 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each - with another bathroom for those 2 bedrooms to share. It was nice to have 2 separate sleeping areas, and the living room, kichen and dining room were a great shared space. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire and playing games at the table. Brent's father Dave purchased and cooked lobster for us one day - best, freshest lobster we've ever had !! What a wonderful experience!!!! (fortunately we were there in lobster season - June). We had some chats with Dave who is very personable and a joy to visit with - answered all our PEI questions 😀 All communication with Brent was always answered very quickly. There are kayaks available, but weather too cold and windy while we were there. We would book again without hesitation!! We all loved staying there !!

A short but very sweet stay. Everything you could ask for to make you feel welcome and at home.

Spent three nights here while doing some work on the island. The house was in a lovely, quiet location with beautiful views of the Fortune River. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Would definitely return.

This property has everything you need. Extremely clean, kitchen is fully equipped with the necessities required. Beach close proximity and beautiful, peaceful spot! We will definitely be back 👌

What a gem this place is! The house was a perfect place for me, my kids and their spouses, six of us fit really well and everybody could find a space to be alone if they wanted it. All you need to cook and entertain or come back to after exploring. Dave was an incredible contact, very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly and gave us great tips on things to do. We had an amazing lobster dinner thanks to him, the kids will talk about that for a while :). Definitely recommend.

Exactly as pictured and described but even better. Beautiful location on the river, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and spacious areas. Great place for morning walks- quiet among farm land or on the beach., spotlessand plenty of privacy. Can not recommend this property enough

Everything about this rental was excellent: well equipped kitchen, extensive decks, overlooking water, comfortable/modern furnishings, beautifully groomed gardens, separated bedroom areas giving couples privacy, modern bathrooms, great location, all the staples in the kitchen…An ideal Rental!

The photos online do not do this home justice. It is absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Dave who became advisor and cook as well 😁 Dave made some suggestions as to where to go, what to do, found us some fresh lobster and even cooked them for us!! The place was incredibly clean and about a 10 minute drive into town. Can't imagine how much more remarkable this stay would have been if the weather was warmer! Thank you to the Aiken family, Brent, Dave and Kent for making our first time in PEI an unforgettable one. We will definitely be back... but looks like maybe 2024 when you have an open spot 😁

This property did not disappoint! We found the home to be just as it was in the listing. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and impressively clean. With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends, everyone enjoyed their own space and privacy. The common area was generously spacious and the views of the water beyond what we expected. We were 100% satisfied and truly enjoyed our stay there. Many thanks to our hosts, who made themselves available whenever we needed them.

Place is gorgeous. Lovely experience. Brent is delightful, brought us flowers! Exceeded expectations would love to cone back and stay longer. Everything you could possibly want is here, and the place could not be cleaner.

We had an amazing stay at Rustig Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, extremely clean, well equipped with everything we needed and has an amazing view. It was peaceful enjoying my morning coffee by the calm water and relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening on the large deck enjoying the view. We enjoyed the Kayaks, our nightly fire, and many ball games on the large well-maintained property. The owners family nearby are kind and helpful. We didn't want to leave and will definitely return. Would highly recommend this cottage. Thank you Brent and family!

We just returned from an amazing week in Fortune. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Cottage is outstanding in every way. No detail missed. Dad and mom next door were a pleasure to get to know.

We loved this beautifully appointed cottage. It was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Everything you could wish for, including a drawer of lovely small ceramic bowls for your butter sauce and lobster crackers, was available. The property owner's dad Dave is in the cottage next door and he is so kind and helpful. When he thought we might have to stay an extra day due to hurricane Dorian, Dave was at our door to tell us we could stay over another few nights if we got stuck. The location is beautiful on Fortune River close to two glorious beaches. Souris is very close and has two good grocery stores, a liquor store and the Lobster shack for seafood (take out or eat there, looking at the ocean). You're also just a half hour drive from the national park and an amazing hike to the sand dunes. We loved exploring the area and even took the pontoon boat tour of the river and Fortune Bay to see seals. We also spent a lot of time just staring at the water and seeing the great variety of birds including groups of herons visiting for low tide. At low tide, shell collecting is easy and we found live oysters! It was a magical stay. Thanks very much Dave and Brent!

My children and I booked this wonderful property for our first visit to PEI and our visit exceeded our expectations. Dave and his sons were very friendly and accommodating. The cottage was absolutely perfect and very clean. Souris was beautiful and I loved the beach. It was very private and it was easy to relax. We would absolutely recommend booking here. You will not be disappointed.

We golf gals spent a wonderful week at this beautiful cottage at the end of July. It was so well equipped and well taken care of,, it was just like a 5-star hotel! We were close enough to golf at both Crowbush Cove and Brudenell and had a great time wandering the coast, checking out beaches, galleries and tourist spots. A side trip for a visit with "Anne" and a trip to Charlottetown completed our travels. The whole island is lush and the views were beautiful. Be sure to try the local homemade ice creams! The cottage is extremely clean and Dave, the owner's father, came by to check on us and share local knowledge. Brent is quick to respond to any questions and very easy to reach. We would book this cottage again.

A very chill place. Very well equipped. Great base to explore the Island.

We recently spent 4 nights and found everything about the cottage, location and the people in the area to be perfect. Enjoyed the kayaks. Loved all the blue herons feeding at low tide. Great golf within 30 minute drive. Basin Head beach and East Point Lighthouse short drive away. Would rent this cottage again if back in the area.

Loved everything about this cabin. Great location near Souris (mouse) overlooking Bay Fortune. 9 grey heron feeding right outside during low tide. Clean, well equipped. Nice gas stove to take the morning chill away. Nice gas bbq. Visited all the capes from here covering all of the island. Did spend one night at the minimalist Island’s End Motel near Tignish while touring the west end. Spartan, but clean and adequate. Would stay here again
