We had a wonderful stay. We were grateful for the binoculars and the bed was very comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

This is a really cute cottage right on the water with things happening all the time right in front of you-wildlife, seals, otters, etc-and watching the ferry crossing. It is a delightful place to stay and the owners make it like your home, having stocked things that you commonly use for cooking, etc and good cooking pots and pans and dishes-as well as other things that make your stay so enjoyable.. It is really a lovely 'deal' given what is charged to rent there and what you get out of the experience. We would highly recommend it to people and have rented it a number of times for family and friends-which means we also get to enjoy the deck on the water with them!

If you are looking for someplace to sit and watch the world go by, this is for you. The cabin is well-appointed and cute as a button! The view, though, that is what drew us to the property. Plus, it is so easy and quick to get there from Seattle but feels like a world away. Will be looking to book again in the future.

In addition to the spectacular views, this house was comfortable, clean, well stocked and provided us with a relaxing and peaceful vacation. We will certainly return!

It was such a pleasure staying here in September. The place was right on the water, with a great deck and view. The first night, we got to experience a storm with thunder and lightning, and waves crashing which was an exciting experience! The next couple days were calm and we had a perfect view of Mt. Rainier and Tacoma. The ferry was a pleasure to watch and beachcombing with our dog was a perk that we don't get at home. We made our meals in the kitchen that was fully stocked. There is even a washer and dryer. The little stove fireplace made the home very cozy. The bed was comfortable. We got to meet some neighbors that were a pleasure to talk to. We will be back!

I’ve stayed at a lot of homes in the puget sound. This had the most magnificent view of any. Rainier, ferry, 220 degrees of water and wildlife. What’s more, it was the most seamless and painless check in and check out in recent memory. Lovely and pleasant interior and huge balcony. Bravo.

This property was literally right on the water. When the tide is in you really do feel like you are on a houseboat! I didn’t bring my pet but this place seemed very pet friendly. Even though it was very cold outside the wood stove kept us very warm and cozy. Can’t wait to spend time here in the summer!

You cannot beat the view and location of this place! It is so relaxing and beautiful.

It was a real challenge for us trying to find the cottage. We drove down to the bulkhead and still didn't see it. We ended up going down two other driveways and had to call Lance. Thank heavens he picked up! We found Clam Cove Cottage and it's really a little gem. It's all been updated, the bed is enormous and comfortable, great views of the ferries docking and leaving. We loved seeing all the wildlife: a seal (?) patrolling back and forth in the water, two herons patiently fishing, a chipmunk on the deck, deer grazing on the neighbors' property. (But there was also wildlife inside: ants, and they were tiny but a bit annoying. Hopefully, Lance, you'll make them go away.) I especially appreciated the huge windows that were sparkling clean inside and out, as well as having a stove, washer and dryer, fridge and separate freezer, good ventilation. There was a spectacular lightning storm Saturday night so we turned off all the lights and enjoyed the show. Such a lovely little place to stay for a long weekend. I'd definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location!!!!!!!

This was perfect for me as I was attendIng a wedding on Vashon. A large group of friends stayed at the large house and I rented the small house. I could go hang with them, and have my quiet time when I wanted. Right in the water with lots of windows. Kayaking and paddle boarding was a blast. Everything I needed was there. Communication with the owner was easy and friendly. He was extra kind and patient as this was my first VRBO. It won’t be my last!!

Beautiful surroundings, quaint cabin, lovely and relaxing, lots of sea life, wonderful ocean air. Not the most private cabin as there are properties directly above. Internet spotty at times. Overall a really nice little place

We had a get trip. the property was in great shape other than the little sugar ants. We used the BBQ the fire pit and enjoyed the view. we would stay again. Thank you to the great hosts!!!!

I Was delighted and surprised that there were paddle boards and kayaks! I did have some trouble with vacationers at a house directly north of me. I was staying alone, and they were loud and rude—at one time making comments about me. Luckily the property more than made up for it. A wonderful stay!

If you long to relax on the sound, watching nature, the ferry, and Mount Rainier, this is the spot for you. The property is very close to the Point Defiance ferry terminal. The hosts are lovely and easily reached by text or phone. There are restaurants, shops, and the Vashon Heritage Museum was an unexpected surprise. Unplug and enjoy island life!

Property is located close to ferry for easy access to Tacoma. The island has great restaurants, grocery stores etc. We loved watching the seals, tide and the water traffic. This property is right on the water!

Lovely little cabin right on the beach bulkhead. Enjoy watching otters, heron, kingfisher occasional deer as well as ships in and out of Port of Tacoma. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable. Responsive host.

Great choice

Nicely done remodeled cabin. Access to property & parking was hard. Too far too walk from car to cabin carrying supplies. Would have liked to known of stairs. Rocky beach with poor access-would have liked to have known surface of beach.

Charming cottage with gorgeous long views, beautiful wildlife, entertaining ferry and boat traffic, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and a large outdoor deck & fire pit. Owner was extremely easy to communicate with and everything was as described or better. We would have loved to stay longer...

There is no experience quite like being right next to the water (as in, RIGHT NEXT), and taking in the view and wildlife. Even beyond the gorgeous view of Rainier, watching the otters, sea lions and ducks wander past is wonderful. The house is not huge but is perfectly adequate for the beautiful setting

Really awesome view. Fun place to stay.

This is a lovely spot, right on the water so that sunny and stormy days are both magnificent. Wonderfully appointed with a great wood burning stove (plenty of wood and flint) as well as good heat. Great cooking pots, small refrigerator, washer and dryer, etc. Lovely windows and a deck to maximize the availability of the beauty surrounding the house. Comfortable, private yet not remote. The owner was a delight to work with. I will definitely try to return soon.

The view from the cottage is beautiful and ever changing. The cottage itself is comfortable and clean. Thank you for everything. We will definitely be back.

Our first time to Vashon and it was wonderful. We felt very welcome and the owner was so generous and helpful answering my questions before we arrived. The wildlife you see daily from the deck are otters, seals, many birds and deer. At low tide go flip over the rocks, you are in for a surprise. The house is so cute and comfy, you can tell this owner goes above and beyond to make sure you are relaxed and happy! Highly recommended and we will be back!

Well stocked, neat, comfortable. Went swimming, kayaking, and saw many sea creatures. Will be back.

The Clam Cove Cottage is about perfect. Not perfect only bc of being 1 bedroom, which worked out splendidly for our infant, but we plan on another in the coming years. Every detail was attended to covered. We didn't have time for the boats or fishing gear, but there were even PFDs! We saw a few harbor seals, a bald eagle, a few great blue herons and a family of sea otters...within FEET of the deck! Very spacious master bedroom and bathroom! Everything stayed cool, despite the heat wave. We had a grand time and will very likely return next year for diabetes camp business! The best was the waves and the ferries shushed our baby to sleep and KEPT her there;)
