Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home away from home. Very comfortable place with lots of amenities. The views of Mt Rainier are spectacular as are the wildlife sightings from sea birds to Orcas.

House is huge and has so many amazing features! The kids loved exploring the loft and lighthouse! We saw all kinds of wildlife including eagles, otters, seals and orcas passing by! It was perfect! We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the property for the second consecutive New Year’s weekend with a group of extended family. The perfect place for our family to gather and connect for a few days. The location on the water, with views of Mount Rainer, is superb.

Wonderful experience staying at Angie’s home for Thanksgiving. Well-stocked kitchen and amazing views of Mount Ranier. We enjoyed walking on the beach every morning and s’mores by the fire every night. Don’t forget to walk north up to Point Robinson to see the troll! Home was clean and cozy. Angie was extremely responsive and helpful when we left an important item at the house and had to retrieve it. And very attentive with lots of information prior to arriving!

The home worked great for our family getaway. The location is very special, with minimal neighbors you feel like you have the island to yourself. Plenty of relaxing spaces both in and outside. We had some trouble with e-lock but property manager was quick to respond and assist.

Angie’s place is on a lovely piece of property. When the weather is clear, you get nice views of Mt. Rainier, and we enjoyed using the kayaks to paddle around the “backyard.” We saw lots of birds & an occasional seal. Views from the house are all excellent. Nice to relax by a fire out back. Angie was great with communication. Downsides - it’s a 30+ min drive to the ferry and then 20 min ferry ride to west Seattle. I didn’t read the fine print & assumed there was a bridge. A few times the ferry was full & we had to wait an hour for the next one. I’d also say the bathrooms could be updated. That said, it really is a lovely setting; unforgettable, really. Glad to have had the experience.

Angie was always available and answered any questions quickly. The home itself is way beyond what is shown in the pictures. If we are ever make it back out that way this will be the home we stay at without a doubt. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here.

We live just across the water from Maury Island in West Seattle and yet being at this house, we feel a million miles away. We are immersed in nature, solitude and beauty. This was our second year at the house and we are already booked to return next year.

This house is right on the beach so secluded from everything else. There is one close neighbor tucked behind the trees but you still feel so alone out there! The view is glorious and the master room feels luxurious ❤️. Plenty of room for the kids to sleep and such cool balcony off the upstairs with a telescope! Washer & dryers were a great help when traveling with kids and Angie would message to see if we had any questions. Lots of really cool games that kept the kids busy when they weren’t on the beach. Our whole family loved looking for shells and interesting rocks! We had seals come up to our kayak and a sea otter come up to the beach within 10ft of us to eat his fish. Deer were all over the island and black berries growing along the beach and roads. The s’mores Angie provided were a really sweet surprises for our kids and none of us wanted to leave!

We stayed at Angie's place for the first time 2 years ago and have been dying to come back again. This time we brought more of our family with us just to experience the beautiful serenity of this property. The house is open with lots of windows to appreciate the view and the access to the water is unparalleled. We're already looking at a date to come back again next year.

The wildlife was all around us in this island so close to the city. It’s a great place for the family to connect w each other and nature.

We loved our stay at Angie’s amazing, sprawling house. It’s in the coolest location with an incredible view of mount rainier. We saw seals, deer, and tons of interesting birds right from the house.
Loved all the outdoor hangout options. Loved the cozy sunken living room. The beds were all comfy and the rooms were very spacious. The kitchen was huge and well equipped.
We had such a relaxing, luxurious time. Angie was great at prompt communication.
One tip for future guests: the bedrooms don’t have curtains so you’ll want to pack an eye mask if the bright sun bothers you (or your child) early in the morning.

If this tells you anything, we we are already planning to return!
Not only was the house perfect, but the island is darling! We saw bald eagles, seals, sea lions and some say they saw an orca! 😉 If you find these strange rubbery things on the beach that look like seals from an engine…….Angie let us know they are from a moon snail. They found lots of the homes they build from sand, but not the moon snail.
Saturday we went to the farmers market and shopped a little, but mainly enjoyed everything their beautiful place has to offer.

Our experience started with excellent communication with our host. Angie was available and responded quickly to all messages - not that we had any special needs as everything you need to know is laid out in the house manual. The home and beach are nicely secluded as the last stop down a long driveway. The center of town, such as it is on Vashon, is about a 20 minute drive. We found few excuses to leave the view and the amenities on the property including the Kayaks. This is a well run and well managed property. We would come back again.

Loved watching the sunrise on the water each morning. Very clean home with some unique features. We didn't get to spend a lot of time at the home, as our daughter was getting married on the island. Would definitely come back again! The owner was very kind and quick to get back to me with any questions.

This was our second visit to this Vashon gem, and we're already planning for next year. The house is unique and sprawling, the beach is right out the back door, and the host is a quick communicator who is genuinely welcoming. We spend 1-2 weeks on Vashon Island every summer over the past several years. This spot is by first the most stunning setting yet. We settled in and never left the house and surrounding area! It was a true sanctuary - the solitude, privacy, nature, wildlife. The house is super comfortable, there are views from every room, the kitchen was stocked so we could cook delicious meals (equipment and cooking staples), the fire pit by the water is a delight, and we made great use of the kayaks. Angie was a pleasure to interact with - she was so communicative and responsive. We have already booked the house for next summer.

Amazing property, great home for our extended family. The house had everything we needed & more.
Angie was kind & accommodating. She knew we were arriving with an infant so had a crib & baby monitor set up in one of the rooms. If we had questions, Angie responded immediately. She made us feel like we were part of her family. We look forward to making this a regular family get-away. Do not hesitate to rent this beautiful waterfront home, amazing mountain view with lots of space inside & out.

Celebrating Cancer Free
Booked in 11/2021, our family anticipated this gathering for a long time and we were not disappointed. Quite a unique and lovely setting. The water, tides, rocky beach, Mt. Rainier and the outdoor spaces along the house provided an amazing experience and lasting memories! Angie, the host was great and responsive.

Vashon-Maury
This house is beautiful and has a lovely location. We had a few non rainy days and enjoyed the gorgeous outdoor space of this house along with the fantastic view of majestic Mount Ranier. The inside of the house was quite wonderful and Angie was so very helpful and nice. It was perfect for our family reunion. Vashon-Maury island offers much to explore.

Perfect Beach House
If you are looking for the perfect beach house on the water with a private beach, outdoor seating/dining, beautiful views and nature watching this is it! The house is very comfortable, with plenty of space and privacy bath inside and out. The house has windows that provide an abundance of natural light and views., especially of the water and Mt Rainier. The kitchen is spacious and extremely well stocked for dining both inside and out. The master bedroom and bath suite on the lower level is incredible, and located in a wing of the house that affords a lot of privacy. Angie is the best hostess, very communicative with recommendations that are spot-on, and she provided everything we needed for our stay …high chair, crib, and even a basket with wine, beach kites, toys and gluten free items for the children. All I can say, is that our stay was absolutely the best out of many places in the PNW and we hope to book annually!
