We needed to disappear for a few days and this was EXACTLY what we needed. You can’t beat the view and proximity to hiking. It was also close enough to town if anything was needed, but you feel just about like you’re the only people on earth at the cabin itself. Lastly, GREAT host communication.

This cabin was just exactly what we were looking for! It has an incredible view of the mountains and has everything you need to relax and unwind. From the rocking chairs on the front patio overlooking the gorgeous views, to the spacious living room, the hot tub and the fire pit, this place was perfect. We definitely recommend and would return for another stay!

Black Bear Lodge was a perfect home base for a visit to the Smoky Mountains. We were able to easily access the park as well as downtown to enjoy the Railway, shops, and restaurants. The view from the porch is fabulous!

Great view nice location. Appliance issues with washer(didn’t drain or spin water out of clothes) fridge took 24 hours to cool enough to protect food spoilage and gas logs would not light with wall control or lighter so could not use. Shower in master did not drain well and water would pool when in use.

This is a wonderful property with a fantastic view! Everything is well maintained and is as the pictures show ~ and more. There is no way to fully describe the beauty of the view in a picture. We loved sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs taking it all in.
The lodge was great! It was easy to get in and the host has thought of everything you need for a great stay. Although we did not cook, the kitchen appeared to be well stocked with the pans and utensils you would need. Full size w/d were a plus.
We had a couple of cool evenings and were able to enjoy the beautiful fireplace. The beds were all comfortable and it is very quiet so we all slept well.
When we visit this area again, we will try to stay at the Black Bear Lodge! Highy recommend it!

The cabin was beautiful and clean and just as expected. We loved it. Any questions I had the owner was quick to reply and help me out. Would rent again in the future.

Great find. A few amenities need a little TLC and the linen could be fresher but everything was clean and the cabin is a nice quaint find for a small group of adults. Nicely located close to Bryson City, Cherokee, and Maggie Valley as well as the Parkway.

This is our 2nd time here and it never disappoints. Its a perfect quite getaway to decompress from busy jobs.

The house was beautiful and clean with a wonderful view. You can also hear the creek in the distance which was lovely.

The cabin was comfortable for 3 adults, with amazing mountain views. The location is excellent for exploring the National Park with easy access to Cherokee as well as wonderful hikes in Deep Creek. We enjoyed meals at the dining table and playing games in front of the fire. Nice roomy kitchen with the pots and pans we needed. Driveway a bit tricky and steep but manageable.

We were very pleased with our stay in this cabin. It was furnished exactly as depicted and was well stocked with basic supplies. There was ample room for 6 of us ( including 2 young children) I would definitely recommend this cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin and would go back. Beautiful view! The cabin was cozy and clean. The hot tub and fireplace made it perfect. The master shower was really neat.

This was a girls trip to Bryson City. The house was beautiful and the views were awesome. We had such a good time, everything was great. Highly recommend this house, it has it all!!

Cabin was great and matched listing exactly. Great view of the mountains from the porch. Wonderful place for a family thanksgiving. Located right next to Bryson City and Smokey Mountain Railroad. Would definitely stay here again.

We had so much fun at Black Bear Lodge. Everything was perfect from driving into town to up the hill to our home away from home. What a view up there! It’s in the best spot too for fun in the deep creek area and access to Lake Fontana, hikes, boating, restaurants, the train, playing on the Nantahala, and more! We had a week to stay and wanted a month.
The house was super comfortable, well decorated and allocated and fun for all ages.

We enjoyed our stay here! It provided a perfect place to call home after our daily adventures. It was a perfect middle spot between NC and TN activities. We certainly enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub each night! Thank you!

We stayed 6 nights and 7 days. Location was great. Lots to do in the area. Cabin was perfect for us. We would definitely come back and stay again

The house was awesome with the best views. Hot tub was a life saver after a full day of exploring. Everything is close and takes no time to get to (Downtown, grocery store, tubing and hiking) with just a short drive we explored Cherokee as well. Would highly recommend this property (clean, fully equipped and peaceful)

Absolutely beautiful cabin both inside and out. We loved sitting on the back deck in the evenings after action packed days in the park. Very comfortable beds and furnishings. Drive up the road was a little intimidating at first, but we learned it quickly and became pros at it by the end of our stay.

The house is exactly what is in the listing. We found it very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets from the porch. My father-in-law uses a cane and walker. Once we helped him up the stairs to the porch, he was able to access all areas of the house independently. The owner contacted us about needing to make a quick repair to the hot tub. Communication about that was good and he did exactly what he said he would do. The owner also sent exact directions to the house, including a link to a YouTube video. We are city slickers, so the first time up the road made us nervous. However, our two-wheel drive vehicle made it easily and we had no concern after the first drive.

This cabin was one of the best me and my wife have ever stayed in. Was beautiful mountain view. Pictures online were accurate. Privacy was amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for an awesome stay in Bryson City NC!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great getaway with great views but close enough to downtown Bryson City to enjoy a quick trip into town. Great hiking in the area as well.

This is a great location for a mountain getaway. My two brothers and I stayed for a spring vacation. Cabin was immaculate, beds were very comfortable. The sunsets were beautiful. We sat in rocking chairs on the huge wraparound porch and just had a great time. Strongly recommend black bear lodge!
