We found the Villa very comfortable and the property information extremely well done. The villa was very clean and well appointed throughout. All appliances worked perfectly. The only issue we ran into was the grill thermostat doesn’t work properly and should be replaced. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

This was a wonderful spot for our family’s spring break. We had two adults and two teens in our party. The cottage is compact but designed and equipped so thoughtfully- plenty of room for everyone, and so comfortable. Loved the screen porch for reading and relaxing. Proximity to the beach is a huge plus. We rented bikes for the week and explored all over the island.

Our family loved staying in the beautiful cottage which is truly just steps to the beach. Kiawah is a great family spot. We will be back.

Our family had a wonderful stay in your cottage. Excellent location on a non-trafficked road by cul de sac across the street from the beach. Personally my favorite spot on the island. Cottage was extremely well maintained and clean. Felt like a home away from home. Thank you!

Place was everything we expected.

This home is beautifully appointed and location near beach access was perfect. Owners were responsive to minor problem and it was dealt with immediately. Home was comfortable and every thing we needed for our week was provided. Wish it had been warmer so we could have made use of beautiful screened porch, attached private deck, and outdoor shower. Bedroom and bathroom linens were good quality. Everything pristine. Kitchen nicely furnished with everything needed for cooking and serving. Excellent place to stay for small group. We had 4 adults and it was perfect. Two more adults would have made it tight with bathroom and for watching TV. Enjoyed the photos of Kiawah Beach that the owners had taken and framed. Decor was very tasteful and pleasant for spending time. My biggest complaint about Kiawah, not this rental, was having to time leaving and returning to Island to avoid traffic. Can’t imagine what it’s like in the summer. Will note that kitchen towels and more hangers in closets would have been greatly appreciated.

The property was perfect. We were four adults (early 60s) and the house had more than enough space. We spent a day or so on Kiawah Island and relaxed at the house so we cooked a couple of nights. The kitchen was very well appointed (cutting boards, knives, pots, dishes, any glassware you could need, etc.). The beds were very comfortable with great bedding and plenty of towels. The screened porch was wonderful as was the outside deck. And you could not ask for a better spot for beach access! The owners were very responsive. They made sure there were instructions for everything which was very helpful. Would definitely rent this home again. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you all.

Just steps away from beach access the location of this cottage is perfect! Great kitchen with everything you will need. Comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This was the perfect place for our trip! The house and location were perfect. It was extremely clean, obviously well maintained. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Fifty steps is bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for people who have many interests such as cooking, beach and water activities, reading, and great Wi-Fi for all things associated with staying connected. Star gazing before dawn while sitting on the deck and hearing the critters greet the day was amazing. A great base for birding and hiking. It is a place to put on your bucket list.

This is a very sweet stay with everything one needs within reach. House flows nicely from kitchen to laundry to living room and bedrooms. We felt into the the slow Charleston rhythm with the reclining sofas and beautiful sunset beach a stone throw away. It’s a well worth stay with everyone enjoying their time. Thank you, Larry and Bev for your worthwhile accommodation.

The house & grounds were neat. Beautiful foliage and trees were lit up at night! Felt safe and private! The walk to the beach was just about right for the toddler & us seniors. Recommend beach carts to carry stuff! The 3 bedroom arrangement was great for us. The toddler had the smaller room.The two adult couples used the 2 larger rooms. We had enough storage space for belongings in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The showers were amazing; great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The baby had nightly baths in the tub in 1 bathroom. The queen adult bed was comfortable but the king bed had the body imprints of age. Many conveniences of home were furnished. The appliances were quiet and efficient, especially the clothes washer-dryer&dishwasher. We loved using the gas stove and were pleasantly surprised to have a garbage disposal. The dining table was nice for family meals. The dishes and kitchen supplies were abundant and served us well as we are an eat-in family. We used the nice grill, outdoor shower, deck and screened porch and were pleased! There was an unlocked storage door on the deck and we were surprised at at the beach supplies within. If we had known, we could’ve packed less! The AC worked well, although a bit loud in one room, we were thankful as the first days of our stay were extremely hot. We enjoyed other things like activities like sitting in the loveseat recliner under the skylights reading or watching baseball, football, and movies on the large TV.

We are a family of five with three young children and have rented this home twice. The location of this house – a very short walk across the street to the beach – is fantastic. The owners are super nice and responsive.

This Oceanwoods cottage continues to be the best, with excellent beach access, updated furnishings and wonderful hosts. Already looking forward to next year here!

We loved our stay at this property!. The location could not have been more convenient for going back and forth to the beach with kids. We also loved the proximity to Night Heron Park for the kids to play at the playground and grab ice cream at the Nest. The house was spacious enough for our family of 5 and had everything we needed during our stay. We especially loved the screened porch and the outdoor shower. We will absolutely be back to Kiawah and would love to stay at this property again!

Larry and Bev were amazing hosts. They were very responsive when we had questions and provided all information needed to make the stay as seamless as possible. Their home is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great week at the beach. The name doesn't lie, the house is very convenient to the beach , especially for young children when you have to run back and forth from the beach. We would love to stay here again!

Fifty Steps Cottage is the perfect place to stay. We love everything about this property (size, decor, neighborhood, location, everything!) The kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances. Beds are so comfortable, and the bathroom updates are amazing. We feel right at home every time we stay.
