We frequent SSI for the Labor Day Holiday. We were very pleased with the home, location, amenities, and overall experience. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this rental to others.

This was our families first time on SSI and we couldn’t be happier with the location of this house! We enjoyed our time on the island and loved how easy it was to get to everything! The house easily accommodated our family vacation and we all enjoyed spending time in the sunroom and on the patio at the pool when we didn’t feel like going to the beach!

Great location next to the park. Management was extremely responsive and the house offered pool and beach towels and plenty of pool toys for the kids. Very kid friendly.

We had another great stay at the Toluca Whale House! This was our 2nd year staying here and we plan on happily booking a 3rd, if they’ll have us. The place is a great size with a wonderfully warm and relaxing pool. The location is great. I’d highly recommend this place to everyone.

The house was perfect for our family vacation. The pool was a nice added bonus. The property owner was very quick to respond to any messages and very accommodating to our special needs son and service dog. I highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back!

A mile from the beach, short 5 min drive to the pier with all the shops/restaurants. Quiet neighborhood. Close by to awesome grocery store, Harris Teeter. Lots of parks nearby, one had a great playground with a fence. House was clean. Had everything in the kitchen that was needed. Sunroom added bonus. They have a whole closet full of board games etc. if you have older kids/family with you. Large walk in closets in each room. Pool was awesome with a table built inside of it. Plenty of outdoor seating. Whole yard fenced in, perfect if you have kids or dogs. Would definitely recommend. Only complaints (minor)- no sheets on master bed when we arrived, cleaning people brought over right away but still no fitted sheet. Had Roku TV 😒 (personal preference). Landscaper showed up unannounced, had to get out of the pool, making for two not very happy toddlers. We would of planned ahead if we knew he was coming. Great place to stay when in St. Simons.

This lovely property is located in the perfect inbetween area. A short comfortable walk to many activities and dining options. Multiple parks,the beach,and shopping. The pool area is well appointed with many options for seating. Two umbrellas along with lovely giant oak trees offer plenty of shade if desired. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Weather was awful, (strong winds, rain and temps were in the 50’s and low 60’s in May) but the time with family at this property was amazing! We WILL definitely book this property again.

This was the 4th time we have stayed in this house so we do like the house and the pool. I will say the pavers that lead out to the pool need to be either leveled out or removed. They are all different levels and are a big trip problem. One girl twisted her ankle.

We come as a family every year to St. Simon’s and we tried a new property. We were not disappointed in this beautifully decorated home. It was welcoming and comfortable. We intend to go back next year.

We are two adult couples with dogs and stayed here in April. Location is terrific, right across from a small park and just a few blocks to the beach. Nearby to great restaurants but tucked into a cup-de-sac. Host was very helpful!

Everything was perfect and just as pictured / described online. We loved the outdoor spaces, the enclosed patio and the pool area. The fenced yard was great for the pets. Plenty of room for all of us. Beach & pier were short walk away, Would stay again!

We spent 4 night at the property it was clean and cozy and comfortable. We should have spent more time there instead of exploring.

This place is super-clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and was perfect for a getaway from ATL with our 7yo and our new dog (her first vacation). The pool was fantastic and we loved doing puzzles in the sunroom. Comfortable beds (our daughter loved the bunk beds), good linens and towels. Host responsive and helpful. We enjoyed birdwatching (bring food for feeders or you can buy at the Pet Exchange) and running our dog around in the park across the street, where we also chatted with some very friendly soccer families in the evening. We will be back.

We have stayed at this property several times. We keep coming back because we like the closeness to the beach and using the private pool. The house accommodates our family well. We didn’t have any issues, and the owner helpfully responded quickly to questions and was clear that he was available if we needed anything to just ask.

Property was clean and close to beaches and stores. We loved our trip. I would recommend that owner gets new pillows/sheets….there were stains and rips in sheets….other than that it was a great experience.

We enjoyed our time here so much. The location is perfect with plenty of dining options and shops close by . The pool was awesome. The house was very comfortable and spacious. WiFi was solid. We rented a golf cart to get around.. our pup loved it.

We loved staying here and did not want to leave. It was a great house and pool. Great location. Owners were super friendly and responsive. We can’t wait to come back!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past week and the attentiveness and friendliness of Bob and Island Cleaners. The house was nicely decorated, very clean and only a few blocks from the beach. The pool was awesome, where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was loaded with everything you needed if you wanted to stay in for dinner. There were pool noodles and items for the beach if you wanted to use them. Our girls loved all the little shops and one of their favorites, Sunset Slush….and the koozies were worth it! Definitely a five star property and we appreciate the owners trusting us with their home away from home. We hope to re-visit again one day!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The location is perfect, close to everything. The house layout is great with ample space. We loved the sun porch and of course, the amazing backyard. We did need to reach out to the cleaning company as one of the smoke detectors kept alarming (mostly in the middle of the night, naturally). They answered our call immediately but there was a delay in action. They eventually removed the smoke detector and said they’d return it the next day but never did. Luckily, it did not effect our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful time and plan to return to this property in the future.

My husband, two sons and I really enjoyed our stay here! We did not realize how much we would love the location of the house on the island, the close proximity to beach and village yet in a quiet subdivision was the best. We also loved being located across from Demere Park, you literally can walk across the street onto a huge field, it is perfect for morning walks/runs, playing games in the field, etc. As luck would have it, a family of ospreys built a nest on top of one of the park's lights which is visible from the back yard. It was fun to cool off in the pool and watch the birds. The house is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen making cooking meals at home very easy. The home owners were very responsive and quickly answered any questions I had.

Property was wonderful for our family. The pool was well shaded with a great bar/seating section, beds were comfy, place was clean, and owners were *super* responsive to messages the whole way through. Fabulous experience.

We drove up to meet friends and enjoyed a week here in SSI. It is well equipped with all the items you need, we enjoyed hanging out in the sunroom! Enjoyed our visit and hope to return again next year!

This property is well maintained with lots of games, housewares and beach items that really make life easy. Close enough to the beach to walk but with a family of 8 we drove and parked on Cedar St, which was real nice and never had a problem getting a great free parking spot with no wait. Ft. Frederica and Jekyll Island both were great, especially the dolphin bout tour from Jekyll Island.
