Anyone going to Gatlinburg must stay at Closer to home. Beautiful cabin at the top of the mountain overlooking Gatlinburg. Close to everything. We have been there 2 times and will go again. The Host is absolutely amazing.

The house was perfectly set up for our group with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs with a living area and of course, the pool table. The kids had their own space. It was nice to have bathrooms next to each bedroom. The sunsets were amazing! The location was very convenient to the places we visited. We enjoyed Dollywood and Anakeesta, but don't go during spring break! It was totally crowded with very long wait lines. Communications with the owners were easy and timely. My only recommendation would be to increase the lighting in the kitchen/living area upstairs.

The cabin was nice and clean, the view was amazing. I am not giving 5 star for couple of reasons
1. The amenities has “Grilled” mentioned but they should clearly mention it as charcoal grill not propane/gas. We took the charcoal as they didn’t provide it (usually properly owner provides propane/gas) but our attempt to grill on charcoal failed as the grill was outside the cabin and little cold, we lost 2 hours in burning charcoal and couldn’t cook as well.
2. The standing shower was very tiny in 2 bedrooms which has queen beds, it was very hard to stand and took shower.

3 generations of woman from my family celebrated our 25th of getting together in the Gatlinburg area, the cabin is in a very well kept neighborhood & the view from the cabin is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and the location was great.

The cabin was very clean and well stocked. It was a great space and lay out for 13 people. We had a couple of mishaps that were outside of the property management’s control (power outage) but they were quick to respond with help. The location is far enough away from the main strip of Gatlinburg that it’s peaceful but close enough that getting to the shops and activities were easily accessible.
The only suggestions we have are to have a few extra towels for large groups and to consider getting sheets that are a little softer. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

That cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Very spacious, and David was a great host. The property management is great too. They called to tell us that there were wildfires and gave us an alternate route to get into the property. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back.

Family enjoyed this cabin. So many places to sit and relax inside or outside. Playing games/pool. Table large enough for all of us to dine together. The highlight was the black bear that came to visit which the grandkids named Marshmello. Would stay here again.

I think I can speak for all of our family when I say we all deeply enjoyed our time in this cabin. Great location, cozy beds, & amazing views. We would recommend this cabin to anyone, couple or families.

Family enjoyed the amazing view from our cabin. It was perfect distance from Gatlinburg with quiet neighborhood. Clean and fully equipped.
Excitement included bears appearing at night at the dumpsters. Amazing that they were able open latch on dumpster

This clean cabin is very comfortable for our home family with kids, and with beautiful summer view. David, the host is very very nice, whenever we called him, he’s very patiently to answer our questions. We strongly recommend this vacation house to who is planning a relaxing trip.

Great Location and Stay
This was an enjoyable location to stay. It is located at the top of the neighborhood, which was quiet and peaceful. There was sufficient room for our family. The children enjoyed the arcade game, pool table, and Wii! Conveniently located so the drive to downtown was not long (5 minutes). Beds were relatively comfortable. Everything was clean.

3 day getaway for our Family
We had an amazing time @ this rental. The views were great. The house was spacious enough and had plenty of decks to sit on.
We weren’t given pool passes which was unfortunate so we would’ve liked that.
We called and never heard back from the property manager regarding getting them.
Close to town and to the national park and a grocery store!!

Best Smoky mountain view
The cabin was perfect for our family of 8 and my brother and sister in law. The view was amazing. There are two decks to sit on with plenty of seating. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, cups and pots and pans. There were books and puzzles but it is hard to get off the deck and come inside. We all said we would stay there again.

Awesome Place
Other than some struggles making sure the kids didn’t access the balconies from the 6 different doors it was an incredibly beautiful cabin. Would stay here again in the future.

Thanks for a lovely cabin with a wonderful view to enjoy as a family vacation. Great space for three generations to come together. Accommodations were perfect and each family enjoyed having its own space (bedroom and bathroom) to itself.

Excellent Cabin
Our group absolutely loved this cabin! It was big enough for everyone to have their own space; the kitchen was nice and big and well stocked. The kids loved the pool table and video games. It was only 10 minutes from the Convention Center where our event was being held. A definite return next year! We come every year.

Perfect Valentine’s Getaway
This cabin was a great for a group of 4 couples! The cabin was spacious enough where we had plenty of room to spread out. Convenient location to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg strip. The view was absolutely gorgeous!!! Will consider staying again!!!

Beautiful cabin
We really enjoyed the beautiful cabin. Only issue we had was setting the alarm. We couldn’t get it to work when we left. Other than that it was a great place and we plan to stay again!

Great Cabin, Great Location
Our family had a blast on our stay in “Closer to Home.” Besides the floors not being cleaned, it was a great cabin and the owners were great! We take our family of 10 or so to Gatlinburg every year and this is one of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in! Hope to stay here again in the future!

Beautiful View & Lots of Privacy
This was a perfect cabin for our Girl’s Weekend trip! Plenty of privacy and plenty of seating for chatting and watching movies. The view off the back was spectacular!

Beautiful cabin
We were in town for the Women of Joy conference. The cabin was awesome. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

This place is so homie! Loved that it had a game room, the jacuzzi was . This place had all that you need for cooking.
