The house was perfect and comfortable and beautiful. Plenty of amenities and plenty to due on a rainy day. We loved playing pool and darts with a drink at night. The views were incredible even in bad weather it was amazing to look out the window and be surrounded by mountains. We loved using the fire pit to look at the stars our last night. Even with the sliver of moon the stars were beautiful. The drive to the house is rocky and slow but we found our car gps worked all the way to the house, but the directions provided were also very precise and a great addition to our gps. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. Just breathtaking views and gorgeous home.

The cabin is exactly as described in the listing. Owners are very transparent about the commute to get to the property and amenities. The views are incredible and we really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The internet was spotty during our stay but the owners were working diligently to get it fixed. They were great with communication during the process. We would definitely stay again.

I was hesitant to leave a review because our experience was not "typical" to that of other guests. My family was unfortunate to stay after the owner's completed a master bath renovation. My daughter had water leakage on her bedroom floor that had to be cleaned up several times. I had to rewash clothes and the towels we used to soak it up. Worker's came out two days in a row (during dinner) and shut off the water (once) for two hours. I had to run up stairs and turn on faucets, tubs and showers to help find the leak while he was in the ceiling. I washed my daughter's bedding both days because of the mess (access panel was above her bunk bed.) The hot tub was half full the first day... then had a calcium residue along the sides. The hot tub guy came out the day after the plumbing was fixed. It still did't work and was unusable the rest of the trip. The same day we ran out of water after returning from an excursion in Bryson City. The owners were able to correct this. David and Joy were kind and apologetic, refunding our cleaning fee along with $100 for the "inconvenience". At the time we tried to be patient and understanding because we didn't have a choice. In hindsight, I feel frustrated because it took use two years to save up for this trip. It was not the relaxing or enjoyable experience we had hoped for. On a positive note, the cabin was very pretty and the view was SPECTACULAR! I'm sure others will enjoy their stay once all of these kinks are worked out.

We couldn’t stop talking about the view! The pictures just don’t do it justice. We even cancelled some day plans because we wanted more time at Almost Heaven. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and very well stocked / equipped. It had everything you could want. It’s a hike up the mountain to Alarka Highlands, but less intimidating once you have done it a time or two. The sunsets were well worth it. Our three-year-old cried when we packed up because he didn’t want to leave the beautiful mountains and my wife asked to book it again.

The cabin, the view, the quiet...all were wonderful! Beautiful rooms, porches on 3 sides overlooking the mountains. Even the weather was perfect. So peaceful and relaxing. Absolutely wonderful vacation!

Beautiful views, exquisite decor, very clean, all aspects of one’s need met! Yes the drive up is a bit challenging but then it’s all part of the adventure. The four of us had the most relaxing week ever! The mornings consisted of hot tub time, reading a book in front of the fire or sitting on the porch swing. Afternoon and evenings were spent sitting on the porch looking out at the mountains in awe. Cooking on one of the two grills supplied and ending the days with an evening campfire. The pictures do not give this home justice. It is beyond amazing!

Almost heaven is a misleading name, it IS heaven!! High above the trees and clouds. The view of the mountains is uncomparable to any verbo we've been to!! The home is extremely clean, very high end, beautifully decorated and welcoming. I wanted to bring the bed home, it was so comfortable! We hated to leave, but we will be back!!!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The area was beautiful and the view was simply amazing. The cabin itself was superbly appointed with pretty much everything you would need! Traveling with a toddler is no joke, but the hosts had a plethora of games and toys to entertain even the youngest kiddo in our group! We had a great time and would 100% return here again! Our family of 7 plus my in-laws loved this VRBO! It was just as described! The drive up is a little intimidating at first but our minivan made it! The cabin was spotless! The view was indescribable! The cabin came with SOO much. The games & puzzles were a HUGE hit! This was our families first time to the Smokey Mountains & it will be a trip that’s hard to beat! We have been searching for a cabin that is a higher elevation to beat the summer heat of TN. We found it; 4,000 ft gave us 65 degrees some days and low humidity when the rest of the South was stinking hot. This is an exquisite cabin that is very well maintained, has everything needed for a weekend stay or a month. Clean, roomy, outstanding cabin feel, beautifully appointed, comfortable. This cabin is A+ and the best we have found after years of searching. The owners, Joy and David, are easy to work with, and attentive to details and all communications. Could not have asked for anything better! Thanks Joy and David; so refreshing to see a VRBO that is truly cared for on every level and puts guests first.

My family had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday at this cabin. The cabin had plenty of room both inside and out.

This cabin is amazing. The view is breathtaking. We loved sitting on the wrap around covered porch and looking at the view, listening to the birds singing in the tree tops, and star gazing at night. The teens loved playing pool and having a space of their own. The trip up the mountain is an adventure all on its own. But the destination makes it worthwhile. (Our 14 year old granddaughter did decide to walk up and down part of the way each time we made the trip however.) We would definitely recommend this for a peaceful get away for anyone.

The property is situated so that you have spectacular views wherever you are in the home. Our party consisted of active teens and an adult with very compromised mobility. This house was perfect for ALL! The hosts are so lovely and have thought of every detail…from cooking to the most comfortable beds, no detail is overlooked! We enjoyed Nantahala’s rapids/zip line course, local swimming holes, and Bryson City’s 4th of July celebration. We enjoyed cooking at the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. We cannot wait to come back to this home and these exquisite panoramic views!

Our family of five stayed at Almost Heaven as a summer getaway to rest and relax, and it did not disappoint! The views are the best I've ever seen from any cabin. The place itself was extremely well-stocked, clean, and had plenty to do! This is a bit off the beaten path, which is perfect if you want to get away, relax, and not be on the go! We hope to be back!

THE MOST FABULOUS encounter with a VRBO in my experience thus far. The cabin is immaculate and perfectly and completely appointed with everything we could imagine (and we did quite a bit of imagining!). Games and opportunities for play are extensive. But the very best part of this cabin experience...is that you get to experience all this with a view that will blow your mind! Sunrise and Sunsets were spent sitting on the porch, enjoying coffee or wine together and breathing and listening to the birds while watching clouds come and go. An altogether magical time in a magical place that exceeded our expectations and even the hosts' description. This is a place we anticipate we'll enjoy again and again and again.

We had an amazing stay, the property was as describe, clean, well stocked, overall beautiful and perfect for our family. The porch and the mountain view is just unbelievable, we will deff stay here again. Joy and David were great! Very informative and available when we need them. We just came home from a 5 day stay at this cabin, and I'd like to preface my review with this... I've never given all 5 stars for every rated category until now! The pictures and description listed sold me, but in person the house and views were beyond what we expected. This house is the most stocked and organized of any rental we have ever stayed at. The owners clearly care about their investment and it shows, from the detailed binder left for renters, to the high quality mattresses, pillows, furniture, etc. The kitchen has everything you could imagine for cooking, and bathrooms were well stocked with towels. Also, whoever comes in and cleans after each renter does a wonderful job as we arrived to an immaculately spotless home. This is a true luxury cabin, and I suspect you (like us) will leave wishing you had even more time to spend at this amazing place!

Annual Family Christmas Trip to NC Mountains a very much success. This is a beautiful home to make lasting memories.

The views are breathtaking and the house was perfect for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from every room. There was entertainment for adults and children between games, pool table, corn hole, fire pits- absolutely any and everything you could want or need. We never felt the need to leave the cabin except for a hike down the mountain. The only feedback I would give is that the master bedroom gets incredibly hot in the evening and the lint trap was overly full in the dryer when we arrived. The wind is intense at the top of the mountain. The drive up the mountain was a little scary but we were prepared. The trip was perfect and we cannot wait to visit this rental again in the future.

That VIEW, A M A Z I N G!!! Tips for future renters: Don't try to drive a straight drive vehicle up the hill. Have plenty of gas when leaving Bryson city. If traveling with friends and family make sure all cars have the gate code because they can't call you to ask it and you can't call to give it if one or both of you are on the hill as service goes out there. Go to the store before you go to the house as you may not want to leave for a trek back down. House exactly as it is in photos.

Cabin was absolutely as advertised! Everything you need is provided by owners. My wife and I have stayed in several different places in the Smokies. This home, literally on top of a mountain provides amazing 300 degrees view of mountains and valleys! The view changes almost hourly with the clouds coming and going. We are not big on "tourist" stuff. We wanted relaxation and views, and that's what we got! We only left the cabin once to go to dinner on our last night at the Freymont Inn. It was a great place for dinner. Driving back to the cabin in the dark of night was very interesting, but had no problems getting back to the cabin. This will be our go to place in the future when visiting the Smokies! Thank you for making A Little Bit of Heaven available!

We absolutely loved everything about this home! The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the home was spacious enough for our family of 7, but besides all that wonderful stuff, the view was unquestionably the best part of this home. Stunning, breathtaking, mesmerizing are words that come to mind to describe this beautiful scenery. We spent most of our time on the porch taking it all in morning and night. The sunsets alone are enough to make you appreciate how exquisitely God paints the sky. The only downside was, we wished we had stayed longer. Our family will definitely be visiting this home again next year. Stunning all round!

We had an amazing time at Almost Heaven. The house was clean and had everything we needed to entertain our kids and ourselves. Bryson City and Cherokee are close by so we visited there and we also went hiking in the National Park. At night, we all enjoyed the fire pit and many places sold firewood so it was real easy to get. The views made it easy to enjoy cooking and washing dishes for all our meals, which is a plus in my book. It was a great place to stay and we were able to leave with many wonderful family memories.

The cabin is beautiful, comfortable and well stocked. The view is the absolute best. If you want a quiet relaxing beautiful place for a vacation, this is the place to be. It is a 30 minute drive up the mountain from town, but totally worth it. It’s close enough to Smokey Mountain State Park to make day trips to enjoy all the area has to offer.
