we are very disappointed with our stay. As soon as we arrived, there was a strong smell of humidity inside. The shower curtain was covered in black mold. We saw several croquerelles inside horrible, disgusting. We had to take great precautions not to bring any back in our luggage. We contacted VACASA several times to let them know of our we are very disappointed with our stay. As soon as we arrived, there was a strong smell of humidity inside. Good news: the house was clean, comfortable, and the location was great. Bad news: we needed help from Vacasa and no one ever called back or responded to our requests. ALSO, when we arrived at the house we had not been given the correct code to unlock the door. We called and after a long hold time were given the correct code. The service from Vacasa was terrible.

Five of my friends stayed here for a friend’s wedding in cape cod. The place itself was cute but we arrived to a half cleaned house. It didn’t look like it was vacuumed at all with crumbs on the couch and floor. There were bugs that someone must’ve killed left on the shower walls and a used soap in the corner. We also had a big problem with bugs. I understand it’s summer and the location of the house is in a woodsy area, but having to check the sheets every night and check each other’s body made our stay very uncomfortable. We found multiple ticks on each other’s shirts and one even got on my back that we had to remove. I also found small spiders in 2 of the bedrooms. The morning of check-out my friend found a spider bite on her wrist. I will say the property manager was very helpful and prompt- she sent out cleaners and pest control the next morning. Even the cleaners apologized for how dirty the house was. The pest control guy couldn’t treat the house inside since our stay was only 4 days and we had a dog so he sprayed just the perimeter. Overall, I’m disappointed with our stay here and wish we were more comfortable

Location was excellent. Amenities left for us were perfect: Towels, sheets, blankets. Only Drawbacks (real aggravation): tiny bathroom-bucket-sized bags were left partly opened and attached to large kitchen barrels. That someone knowingly left them like that was such a turn-off. Small matter alone, but it starts a vacation off with a " are you kidding me" question instead of a "wowI! It's going to be great staying here" kind of exclamation! Thank you for hosting us. The Cape is beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is modern, which too often means built around air conditioning. This house is comfortable and breezy without A/C, a true Cape Cod experience. The patio is shaded from early afternoon through the evening, excellent for dining. We had superb weather; otherwise the lack of an indoor table for eating and board games might have been an issue (there is a dining counter for 2 or 3). Be aware that there is no dishwasher and no washer/dryer. We spent most of our time at the beach, so we managed without these.

Pros: Great location, close to National Sea Shore beaches, restaurants and bike trail. Bike rental and shops are in walking distance. Quiet place.

Solid place to stay
Good place to stay near the cape if you aren’t looking for anything too crazy. Good common area, plenty of room to sleep four or five people. The house is very compact so noise travels very easily. Not great if you have people who like to sleep in and others that don’t. Aside from that, no major issues.

We had a memorable time at this property. Everything was as described. Table outside and inside only had two chairs (we were a family of four and therefore did not have anywhere to dine as a family).

Cozy cottage but needs upgrades
When we checked in we called about the gas not being on and were told a local person would call us back but no one did. Also after checkout we called because we left a pair of shoes behind and were told someone would get back to us but it has been a week and no one has. The silverware and utensils need upgrading. Just a few pieces, not matching, and dirty. There is a big soap scum stain in the shower. And the couch covers are very dirty. But the upstairs bed in the loft was very comfortable.

Close to Bike trail and National Cape Cod coast access.We are two retirees and enjoyed the privacy of the house location. Pity the owners cannot maintain the property so 4 guests can sit down at the breakfast buffet table. Hang a towel on the upstairs bathroom and close bathroom cabinets.

Great for the price
My friends and I had a great time. Very spacious for 4-5 people and we enjoyed the privacy. A little surprised that there was no courtesy coffee for us and the larger coffee machine was missing a piece, but the kitchen did have more kitchenware than most rentals I've seen in the past.

Don't show a tv if it doesn't work
Downstairs tv was broken, was told it would be fixed or replaced and was not. Spent 3 weeks here with no living room tv, what a bummer.

Very Comfy
We were pleased with the cleanliness of the house, and the private setting. After riding about 50 miles most of the 4 days we were there, it was so inviting to get back "home". I can't rate the kitchen, but for our purposes, it was fine. All we had there was our cereal and coffee in the morning and enjoyed good dinners at several Cape restaurants.

Excellent, clean, simple, and well located
We (family of 5) were delighted by this house in the woods. Everything we needed was there, and it was a terrific launching-off point for the National Seashore and other outer Cape outings. It was clean, simple, and easy. Bravo.
(Note that you won't have a dishwasher!)

Lovely home, we enjoyed dinners on the front deck and proximity to Rail Trail bike path & Cape Cod national seashore beach.

We had an amazing time in Eastham. The property is well located. Close to route 6. Close to the bike trail and a bike rental shop. Well located in case you want to visit other places in the Cape. The house was very clean. It has a nice yard with trees so it keeps it quiet and private. Paul Schweitzer was very responsive and helped us with a couple of problems we had during our stay.

More than we needed for just a couple. We liked the house and the private driveway. My wife liked the house as well. Perfect house for two couples and two kids. The worst thing about the cape is having to leave! Ughhh

Great location but house not great for 6-8 people
The house was in a great location. We could easily bike to Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach with most of the ride on the bike path .It was set back from the road so it was quiet but very close to Route 6. Just minutes from the house there were great stores - a sandwich place, fish market, and two ice cream stores. Also, super close to challenging mini-golf at Arnolds.
The downside was the house itself. It is really not set up for 6-8 people if you plan on cooking and/or eating in. The kitchen was tiny, not super well-stocked and had only two stools by the island with with no separate eating area. There was no way to eat together except outside and it was too buggy to do that in the evening. We ended up finding two stools in the basement, and having 4 people around the island and two ate sitting on couches. The house was clean, beds were comfortable (queen bed a bit firm). Outdoor shower was nice.

Nice home in a set back secluded location. 2 first floor bedrooms with the 3rd bedroom as a loft. Beds were on the firm side but not uncomfortable. Basic furnishings and amenities. Great central location - less than 5 mins to Nauset Light Beach, less than 10 mins to bay beaches, restaurants on rte 6 close by, 30 mins to Provincetown or Chatham. We stayed 3 nights with 6 people and was comfortable. Living space is on the small side so felt tight on a rainy day. Nice patio to eat and grill outside if weather cooperates.

Nice but crowded. Not well kept
The house is not very roomy.
No place inside from more than three to eat together.
Cleaning wasn't great. Especially kitchen.
Some oddities - we received dishwasher tablets but there is no dishwasher, there were lots of DVD movies but no player...
