Our family group of seven people had an absolutely perfect stay at Sonoma Splendor in July. They even ordered us perfect weather. The house and grounds are beautiful, having a personal chef was AWESOME, and being able to feed the goats was everyone’s favorite way to end the day. Be sure to take advantage of the owner’s extensive knowledge and connections when it comes to wineries and restaurants. She was supremely helpful. This was worth every penny

My family and I feel tremendously blessed to be able to stay at a home like this and enjoy all that Sonoma has to offer. We came to visit family in nearby Napa and spent a week surrounding July 4th. Coming from SF, it was so nice to experience some real summer heat and hangout in the pool with the kids. What puts this house over the top is Chef Randy. To have him around and helping out was a luxury to say the least. Everything from morning coffee service to cooking delicious dinners each night and helping to clean up afterwards. He's both professional but extremely kind and both of my young kids loved interacting with him and frequently say they miss Chef Randy (probably because he made them delicious desserts each night).

We had such an amazing time at Sonoma Splendor the first time around that we had to come back for another family getaway. This is such a special place -- we couldn't recommend it highly enough to do it justice. Such a wonderful place to spend quality time with loved ones. Stacie -- the owner -- is an amazing resource. She knows the area, its restaurants, its wineries and its attractions inside and out. And odds are very good that she will have a contact at whatever place you would like to visit. Her recommendations are impeccable! And it only gets better from there. The house and property are stunning. Wonderful views. The perfect kitchen. A relaxing pool area. A sports court. It is such a lovely location. And as if that were not enough, once you meet Chef Randy, you will know that you have just gone to heaven. In addition to being a wonderful person -- our kiddos, 9 and 8, just love Randy and enjoyed doing some kiddo cooking classes with him -- Randy is an amazing chef. You can coordinate with him on the details for a multi-course dinner or put yourself in his very capable hands, knowing you are going to experience a meal of a caliber equal to the nicest restaurants in the area. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this place is if you happen to be looking at dates that we want to head back! Thank you, Stacie and Randy, for another amazing getaway.

For my family vacation we had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived Chef Randy was waiting to greet us with wine and cheese. The house was decorated with beautiful fresh flowers. Our arrival was so special. Randy took fantastic care of us. We loved all his gourmet meals. Randy went above and beyond for my family. Thank you Randy. Thank you Stacie for all the details and making sure we had everything we needed. Your preferred vendor list was perfect. We had a great time at the beautiful wineries that you recommended. The property is gorgeous and was very comfortable for everybody. The pool and pickleball court gave us excellent recreational activities and feeding the goats was a thrill for the kids.

Sonoma Splendor was a dream come true vacation. The area, home and amenities were the best of Sonoma. Just easy and seamless so we could relax or go to some of the many activities that Stacy suggested. Randy made for a truly luxurious and perfect week with my entire family. Sonoma Splendor was the perfect birthday weekend for my husband! Randy (the fabulous chef) made us all feel welcomed and special. He worked with me to decide the first day meals, and then was incredibly flexible when my husband wanted coq au vin and basque cheesecake the second night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the master bathroom is unbelievable! While we had planned to play pickleball on the court all weekend, we only had a few hours one day without downpour rain. But Stacie came to the rescue and last minute planned three amazing wine tasting options for us. We all felt taken care of, well-fed and pampered. Just perfect!

We had an amazing winter vacation at this home. It was a great property for families- the adults enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and the toddlers loved feeding the goats and playing on the basketball court! Fireplaces and fire pits across the property made the indoor and outdoor usable even in the chillier winter weather. Randy was a stand out chef, and all of Stacie’s recommendations in the area were perfect.

This house and experience was just phenomenal. The house was perfect for our group of four couples. Chef Randy will take care of you and cook you some of the most amazing meals you'll ever have. If we come back to the Napa area with a group, we will be staying here!

What a fabulous week we had celebrating my husband's 65th at this gorgeous, private & well appointed property. From the beginning our hostess, Stacie, was pleasantly attentive with every request we had (big or small). Although we were especially impressed by her apparent ease of getting us into a very popular dining spot! We happened to be in Sonoma for a week long heatwave and were ever so grateful for the solar AC and refreshing pool...It really was an Oasis after a long day of wine tasting. And, of course, the best part was being greeted by the gifted & delightful Chef Randy who magically created fabulous meals for us. He is truly a treasure...

I've stayed at numerous very nice houses and villas across the world, and this is the first one I have reviewed...only because our stay was so amazing. The design of the house is perfect and the location is ideal to experience both Sonoma and Napa valley. But the best part by far is the unmatched concierge service offered by Stacie and the incredible cooking from Chef Randy. This put our entire trip over the top for the entire family--we will definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful time at Sonoma Splendor for a long birthday weekend celebration. Stacie helped get us all set for winery tours and got is into some very special places that we treasured! Randy was an exceptional chef, property manager and help! We loved our special dinners in and even our drivers for our vineyard trips. Especially fun was feeding the on property goats and Penny the chicken. Would definitely recommend and do it again!!

Highly recommend this place, as it provides 5* hotel like amenities in a more intimate setting at a lower price. Travelled with girlfriend, parents, brother and his family. Plenty of space for everyone. Stacie (the owner) helped with dinner reservations and vineyard rec's and Randy (the chef/caretaker) was totally awesome. If you are travelling with a group to Sonoma/Napa this is a fantastic option and we look forward to going back!

The house is in the Sonoma side of carneros, with easy access to either Sonoma or Napa (within 10 minutes). Easily accommodated 2 families and children and was reasonably appointed. Chef Randy was the real deal - this isn’t your average VRBO chef. He is a true pro, and really made the stay for us.

This was my first experience staying at a VRBO property- it was fantastic. From helping me plan the perfect itinerary to all the small thoughtful details that Stacie and Randy did throughout the stay. I am so thankful and can’t wait to return!

My family had the good fortune to spend Christmas week at Sonoma Splendor and thanks to the thoughtful assistance of home owner, Stacie, and house manager/Chef Randy we had a fantastic time. They both went out of their way to make sure every last detail was considered and executed to the highest standard. They did everything in their power to ensure my multi-generational family gathering of 7 people (ages ages 17 - 74) had a blissful holiday away from home. Sonoma Splendor provided an oasis of calm in the middle of a very hectic holiday season. Stacie even allowed us to set up our own Christmas tree and holiday decor. The house is spacious and well designed for small gatherings. The images on Vrbo are completely accurate. The house is immaculate - the beds and bedding are super comfy. The design and decor of the house is top notch without being precious or pretentious. Stacie knows everyone and can help you arrange anything from the most relaxed to the most exclusive. Despite all the fun that surrounded us I could barely get my family to leave the house. It has such a great vibe. We spent most of or time recharging and reconnecting at the house. Some unfortunate weather didn't allow for us to swim or use the hot tub but the gardens and outdoor spaces are fantastic. As for Randy - wow! He is a wonderfully talented chef and a very cool person to be around. He is also the least intrusive person. We joked that he must have magic powers because you never actually saw him doing all the lovely things that made our stay feel special, like nightly turn down service. Due to Covid, pretty much our entire trip was being rescheduled daily and Randy was always flexible and accommodating. A few highlights - fresh green juice every morning, omelettes my kids are still talking about, lobster bisque, homemade pasta tutorial, short ribs, tacos, ramen - and so many accommodations for the vegetarians in our family. I know this review sounds too good to be true but Sonoma Splendor was everything it claimed to be and more.

This stay was super nice. The addition of the chef services made the stay even nicer. It was something we looked forward to every day. Randy was spectacular and cooked amazingly. The location was so relaxing and the house was spotless. We enjoyed our morning walks through the country. Stacie was a super host and made sure we had all we needed.

Stacie is a fabulous host and was even able to get us set up for wine tastings at wineries that said they were fully booked. And Randy the chef helped to make this the best family getaway -- in addition to being a wonderful chef (every dinner was wonderful!) he is just a wonderful person. He even did a couple of cooking lessons for our two kiddos (ages 8 and 6), where they got to make their own pizza one night and fresh pasta another night. They loved that experience!
