The only drawbacks were the logistics with the ferry and the restaurant wasn’t great. It’s also the only restaurant option on the island and we only received three ferry passes for 6 days. To ride the ferry it was $55 each time. Also an umbrella would have been nice.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were part of a group that had activities on the mainland. Our unit was under repair so we were put on the Island. Problem was you can only use your car to get back to your villa once a day and you need a golf cart to get around. We could not use the people ferry as it stopped at 6pm and we had dinner at Leverrocks which was one of the worst dinners we ever had. The fish was all dried out. The villa is very nice and we had beach front. The pools that are around are very nice. Rum Bay resturant is very good. If you want to get away from it all come here and be sure to bring lots of groceries and have no plans to leave the island. Plus a golf cart is necessary as cars are not allowed even though on line it looks like there are roads. Over all I would not recommend this resort since there are many more in Florida that are superior.

Rooms were clean, but some of the walls needed touch up paint. Our main complaint was the noise. We were only in our room for 2 nights...if we had been staying longer, we would have requested another room. There were 4 people staying upstairs, and we could hear their every move. Could even hear their toilet flushing and when they were running water in the sinks. When they were on their balcony, we could hear them in our master bedroom. Beyond annoying.

The condo met our needs and was very comfortable as well as spacious with a Florida room that fully opened to the living area. As it is a pet friendly villa, I would recommend removing the baby blue carpet in the main living area and replacing it with tile, as a couple of prior stains were still visible although clearly it had been cleaned. The master bedroom sheets were so comfortable! We loved the king size of the bed and the closet space. The master bed would benefit from updated comforter and blanket as they were dated with a pink stain on the comforter. The place was very clean though with all of the appliances of a regular home. The toiletries, kitchen paper and washing products, coffee starter pack, and laundry starter pack provided made it an even more comfortable vacation. We were also very impressed with the yummy and tasty welcome gift basket with sweet note for our honeymoon. We loved our stay and can't wait to get back to the island!
