Great place, great bookstore, great area, everything we wanted!

Not sure you could ask for a more perfect location, above a bookshop - a few mins walk to the beach, lots of food and bakery options nearby. The suite is comfy and feels remote even with all this around. An eagle nest in a nearby tree made for some fun bird watching.

This property has outstanding views that have you wanting to curl up and read a good book. But there's so much to do, you'll have trouble deciding. The property has plenty of room and a great little deck.

The cottage apartment over the Inlet Book Shop was perfect for us. It was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed her welcome note and harbor cherries! It had a wonderful view of the mountains and sea. We could walk to Bishop Beach and watch eagles in a tree. We enjoyed nearby restaurants, bakery, and the Art Center nearby. Will never forget such a darling place to stay.

It was the perfect stay for our visit to Homer! The hosts were awesome and made us feel right at home!

The location and charm of this place is off the charts! Everything was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, the views were beautiful and we felt so at home and rested. We love books, so we also spent hours in the bookshop downstairs, enjoying the treasures and the most picturesque used bookstore experience! Minutes from the beach, a quick car ride to an incredible playground for the kids, fantastic places to eat around every corner! This is the best location to experience Homer, and will leave you feeling at home. Thank you Andy, for sharing such a great vacation rental with the world! I'm sure we will be back!

The rooms were excellent with terrific views. The hand thrown pottery coffee mugs were great along with the coffee. It was an excellent stay.

I have stayed at the Ocean View Suite several times on my own and with family and it is my favorite place to stay in Homer. Andy and Sally are the best hosts and the place has the best view, is really nicely furnished and comfortable and has a wonderful location, being close to Bishop's Beach and downtown Homer. I highly recommend a stay!

This was the perfect place to stay! My uncle, dad and I were in Homer for a fishing charter, and this little place at the Old Inlet Bookshop was the perfect spot! We loved the views, walked to every meal, Bishop’s Beach, and all slept comfortably. I hope it’s available the next time I visit Homer because I want to stay here again.

This is a beautiful place located above a unique and charming book store. Within walking distance to several great restaurants. The owners are friendly and left some awesome welcome treats. Would definitely stay here again. Homer is beautiful.

A five minute walk to the beach, this place was ideal. It was set above and behind The Old Inlet Bookshop. The apartment was perfect for my sister and I for two nights. Fresh flowers, coffee cake, and fruit, along with plenty of tea, coffee, and condiments awaited us. It was peaceful and comfortable. Communication with the host went off without a hitch, and check in and out were super easy. I would highly recommend this place if you stay in Homer.

Enjoyed walks and hikes and, off course, the spirit of Alaska. Location excellent, the owner was very friendly and supportive. Will highly recommend!

Great character with a wonderful bookstore

The VRBO was so quaint and cute. Great location right near downtown. We had beautiful views of the water and mountains when sitting out on the deck. I wish we could’ve stayed much longer there. Thank you!!

This Ocean View Suite was more than a suite - it was a Home !!! Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room - everything you need for a short or long stay. Would definitely stay here again !!

I really enjoyed this place as it was quiet and very comfortable. Plus, there is a used bookstore attached to it. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to browse, but it looked like an interesting store.I would recommend this place to anyone.

Homer is a very welcoming community! We felt at home here and there were many opportunities to experience the wonders of nature! The beauty of this area is breathtaking!

Charming apartment located within walking distance to bakeries, restaurants, and the beach! So convenient and the views are to die for! Andy and Sally were lovely hosts, making sure I had everything I needed...Fresh flowers, fruit, and coffee cake greeted me upon arrival. Very welcoming, neat as a pin, and very homey. We loved our stay in the Oceanview Suite! The apartment is comfortable and nice with a view of the mountains and a bit of the ocean. The kitchen had what we needed for our three day stay and we appreciated the fruit basket and other items for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the living room was a nice spot to relax in. The location to all activities and sites around Homer is outstanding and within walking distance of much of it. There are many restaurants nearby (we loved Two Sisters Bakery!) and you are just a couple blocks from the beach and are on the Spit within a few minutes drive as well. Andy was very communicative via text and we talked to him in the bookstore downstairs as well. All in all, a fantastic place to stay and we will look for it again on our next visit to the area.

Charming, conveniently located, nice view of the mountains and the bay, lots of hot water, bookstore next door, excellent hosts. A snuggly nest for a delightful respite from the craziness.
