Just completed a 6 week stay at the apartment and have to say that I was totally happy with both the rental and contact with the owner, manager and cleaner. The unit is spacious, fully equipped and really comfortable to stay in. Thank you for making my stay in Barbados truly memorable.

This place was a huge disappointment. The host was unprofessional and rude and does not know how to operate a holiday rental apartment. The first issue is the location on VRBO shows its closer to the beach than it really is. It is on a busy road, and the walk to the beach is sketchy through pathways in between houses and navigating the high traffic on narrow Rendezvous Road. The mattresses are stained and old. The bedroom with twin beds has no air conditioning and is stifling hot. Two other bedrooms have air-conditioning units but no air-conditioning elsewhere. The bath towels provided look ragged and worn (1 towel had what appeared to be cement stuck to it). Be aware, no beach towels are provided, two shabby hand towels in the bathroom, and no kitchen towels. We had to ask for toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap. There was no hot water for the week as something was wrong with the system. The kitchen appears dirty, with paint flaking off the cupboards. There is no maid service provided, so laundering sheets and towels is necessary using the washing machine in the carport. Also know there is no telephone to make local calls. I would not recommend staying here.

Arriving at the property we were met by Issac who was just finishing up some repairs to the apartment. We couldn't stay in the one that we had booked for but was moved upstairs to another one. This proved to be a better choice as we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and chatting with the locals that walked by. The location is in the heart of a area that has several homes being renovated and improving the look of the street. Many of the home owners have chickens and roosters which never fail to crow early in the morning. After a few days we didn't seem to notice any longer and didn't really care. The monkeys that came by provided great entertainment but never bothered anyone. As for the apartment, it was clean and comfortable but had weak water pressure. This created a problem when showering but I notified the owner and he said that it would be attended to. This rental turned out to be in a good location because we were not far from a beach or the nightlife. We walked through the areas including some pathways along the backs of homes to get to the mainstreet with no worries. I would recommend the apartment if you are looking for an economical place to stay in Barbados but you must like roosters.

Having recently stayed in the lower apartment, I have to say this property was a great choice! Very clean and spacious with lots of storage/wardrobe space. Facilities such as washing machine etc in working order and good range of kitchen equipment. Minor repairs were dealt with immediately 👍🏾. Lady is very welcoming and helpful. She would come and check daily if all is well. The owner is also very approachable. Apartment is fairly close to local supermarkets and cash point which was helpful and is about 15 mins walk to nearest beach. Overall we had a great stay and I would be happy to return again in the future.
