We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your home the week after Christmas and into the New Year 2023. The house was a perfect fit and had everything we needed. Beach access was perfect. We celebrated the Orange Beach Marlin drop for New Years Eve. We hope to visit again.

Property is in a quiet, peaceful area. Beautiful views of sunrise and sunsets. The house is very roomy, very well stocked, even had plenty of beach toys for kids. We had a sweet note with a few goodies when we arrived, a special touch which shows the property owners care about those who stay in their property. We had a little issue with ac on lower level but someone was sent out within an hour and it was fixed promptly. I would not hesitate to book again.

We came to SSC2 with my parents, grandmother, adult brother, and our three children. The ramps to get inside were perfect for my grandmother and my parents who have some issues climbing stairs. The home was beautiful and just what we expected from the online listing. The semi-permanent tents that are set up for the summer months were perfect. It saved me a ton of time and effort in setting up our tent each day. The chairs on the back deck were so comfortable. The kitchen was really stocked. I had to call the property manager for help with one thing and they were there to fix it within the hour and even brought a new coffee pot because they knew the other large coffee pot needed to be replaced. The ramp to the beach was great, but the end was covered with sand and some sea grass so it was a bit difficult to navigate the very end, but overall having the ramp there was perfect as it allowed all our party to go to the beach easier. We will be back each year! Thank you so much!

The beach house was spacious and very clean. Dining table allowed our large group of 13 to eat meals together Easy access to the beach. Views from the decks were awesome, and there was plenty of deck seating for all guests. Permanent awning on the beach offered a reprieve from the hot sun and rain. A few minor issues were immediately resolved by the property manager, Janie, and her husband. Communication with Janie prior to our arrival and while we were at the beach house was easy and we received timely responses to all questions and concerns. If we return with our large group for another Gulf Shores stay in the future, we would definitely stay in Susan's Sandcastle II again! Highly recommend!

We had the best time during our stay at this property. The beach was beautiful as was the house. We had plenty of room and the enormous table allowed us to have our meals together sitting down to enjoy conversation and laughter with all. The house was as described down to the detail of the fully equipped kitchen. It had everything you could imagine you would need to cook for our family of 13. It was cool and comfortable our entire stay and we had zero problems or complaints. The reservation and check in process was seamless. Communication was excellent and the tent that was provided was perfect for our family. One of the BEST if not the BEST stays we have ever had!!!!

The house is as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. Beds are wonderful for a cozy nights sleep. House is well stocked of essentials. Very relaxing to have coffee on upper deck and watch the dolphins in the water. We even managed to get some sun on the top deck. My favorite place to sit and relax. The sand on the beach is so white it shimmers in the sunlight. Only negative is neighbors let their dogs run unleashed on the beach. From terrier size to German shepherds, boxers, labs, and sheep dog size. And then the neighbors are irresponsible when they did not pick up the dog poop from the beach. Even saw one man with golden retriever dig a hole and bury it instead of using the bag in his hand to pick up dog waste. From previous visits we always enjoyed relaxing walks along the waves. Now that is not possible. If ft Morgan has a leash law, it is not enforced and 99% of the folks don’t think it applies to them. We began coming to ft Morgan because we were safe to walk with our dog on the beach and how clean it was. Now is not the case. Too bad because this house is definitely one to come back too yearly.

This house is so much better than the pictures! Is is beautiful, well stocked and so clean. Location is perfect and the beach was so beautiful. We got to see the Blue Angels fly over several mornings too. Our family had our Christmas there and we loved it so much we will only be staying here in the future. Also Janie was the best, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She even put up a Christmas tree for us!!

Absolutely wonderful! Well planned out home with every amenity imaginable. A bit far from town but worth it for the quiet, private beach!

Communication was great, property location was perfect and short walk to beach. Were grateful to have wheelchair ramp for our disabled son. Rooms are comfortable and decor was beachy fun! Thankful for beach loungers to take down to beach and extra toys to play in ocean. Lots of pluses to this house. Would stay again!

Our family of 4 couples and 2 children could not have been happier with the large bedrooms and baths, plus the house is directly on the beach and sooooo private! Would gladly stay in this rental again!

Janie the property manager is incredible and did all she could to save our disaster of a vacation. House is right on the beach and in great shape. Location is challenging...it's 30 minutes to anything and due to road construction on the only road in and out, it took us over an hour to get to Gulf Shores some days. If you need access to lots of activities, this is not the location for you. Normally we would have just stayed on the beach and not gone into town much. Unfortunately, we had brutal tropical-storm level weather our entire stay. Beaches were inaccessible our entire stay. Yes, our ENTIRE stay! While the owners' certainly cannot control the weather, a refund of one or two nights (out of the 7 paid for) would have been kind and appropriate. We have NEVER left a vacation early until this one. We spent over $6,000 for a nightmare of a trip...couldn't even go on the porch without the 25 mph winds smacking us in the face. Kids were traumatized just attempting to get on the beach. This is VERY unusual for the gulf apparently and I think the owners should acknowledge that this was not simply a day or two of storms. Again, we get that they can't control weather. But, this was not normal "bad" weather and a little kindness in this world sure would have meant a lot to us having spent our vacation budget to sit in a house all week. So, work with Janie to find a property with understanding owners and I think you'll be happy. *Note that we were offered a discount for a future stay but after driving 10 hrs with toddlers, that's never happening again with the riskiness of weather like we had. All in all a sad week.

This was the number one item on my wife's bucket list who is in hospice for cancer. The ramp made it very easy to get her down to the beach each day. The living room was excellent for her to view the ocean. All furniture was very comfortable. kitchen was great for groups like ours. Overall could not have been better.

If you want to watch the Blue Angels, dolphins, and enjoy a beautiful beach, this is your place. Susan and her manager are very attentive to your needs. Their special touches are 5 stars worthy! We had a blast and didn’t want to leave.

The house and views are stunning. The propert manager was great and quick to answer any questions. If you stay here you will love it! We are already planning on going back next year.

We needed to get away and spend time with our extended family of 6 adults and 4 kids. The setup of the home allowed for both privacy and group fun. The beach access was perfect and it doesn’t get much better than coffee on the second level balcony accessible from 3 rooms. The beach toys, towels, and chairs at the house were perfect allowing us to reduce the amount of packing and purchase usually needed when making this type of trip to the beach. The property manager was extreamly helpful and responsive which ensured we had all we needed for a wonderful stay.

We loved this house for our family vacation! The master bedroom downstairs was perfect for my disabled mom. My 3 year old daughter also loved the bunk bed upstairs. We enjoyed watching the dolphins play everyday. I highly recommend this house!

This is one of the greatest houses we’ve stayed in! Totally looking forward to coming back next year. Looking foreword to working with and meeting Dana! She is a dream to work with!

This was our first time to stay at Fort Morgan but it was fantastic because of our accommodations. Great place to stay - Dana thought of everything.

This home is very welcoming! Plenty of space for a large group. Well-stocked kitchen, with extra fridge & ice maker. Although this home may not advertise as wheelchair accessible, the ramp up to home easily accommodates wheelchair & they can provide a small ramp to go over threshold. We were able to make this work for our wheelchair bound family member, but would have loved to have grab rails in shower & toilet area. No complaints! This home is well-designed with places for family to gather or find a nice nook for quiet time. With the attention to detail, it’s obvious that the owners & manager want you to enjoy your time in this beach oasis. Dana’s response time was quick & courteous. We truly enjoyed out time there!

We had a large family vacation. Plenty of room for everyone, the house and location are beautiful.

Great location to Dauphne Island day tour via the Fort Morgan ferry, Dauphin tour at Fort Morgan dock, dinner at Tacky Jack , but go early. The beach was great , just a few steps from the house walkway

Everyone in my family loved every part of this beautiful home. My one son-in-law mentioned to me what a wonderful experience this was. He couldn’t get over how nice the Everyone in my family had a super time at Susan’s Sand Castle ll. It was the first trip to the beach for one family member, and he loved the beach and the ocean. He even caught a hermit crab and tiny little fish. He had a ball. The home is so spacious and well laid out. We were all sad to be leaving and hope to be back soon. The manager, Dana, was very helpful with any questions we had. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

11 of us stayed a week at Susan’s Sand Castle II. The house was very accomidating and had everything we needed while cooking meals. Dana was very responsive with any answers to questions. The house has a very open feel and the covered porches were great! We never once felt crowded here!

Easy to book the house and easy checkout. Great location and wonderful view of the beach. The boardwalk was great for the guest that was in a wheelchair. The house was well equipped and everything we used worked great. The bedrooms were wonderful.

We’ve been holding an annual family week at the beach for 14 years now, and Susan’s Sand Castle II was as nice as any place we’ve stayed, and better than most. As the family has grown we have needed more and more space, and with FOUR bedrooms with beachfront access, it was perfect. We’ve never stayed anywhere with such easy beach access, or such great views from every bedroom. The home is well-furnished, with all appliances available and working properly. The home stayed cool even on the hottest days, something we’ve had issue with in other rentals. Basically, you could say Susan’s Sand Castle II was exactly as advertised, which was exactly what we hoped for. We will definitely plan to return,

Large, open and allowed everyone to also have their own personal space with the large bedrooms. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the bunk room 😊. Perfect beach access too!!!

Beautiful home with a wonderful floor plan. Kitchen is fully furnished with every appliance/gadget you could need. Loved that each of us had our own en suite. Would love to come back someday.
