The Penthouse is lovely … well equipped and decorated with a feel of being at home! The view is spectacular and location is perfect! Host, Lisa is kind, personable and communicates clearly. The Penthouse provided the best experience to relax in celebrating our anniversary and visiting with family. A special memory to cherish!

This property is so well and thoughtfully maintained, that it's a pleasure to repeat stays. The kitchen is beyond well stocked that it's as good as being at home. Everything is so clean. Not just the main areas, but the nooks and crannies too. The dishes look like they're ALL washed between guests. Not a spec of dust. The downstairs beds are very comfortable and warm. You really can't beat the location and view.

My partner, myself, and our baby dog stayed for 3 nights at the Penthouse and it was simply perfect. We had asked for a slightly early check in, and without us even texting to remind them that day, Lisa texted with an update and the earlier time. The place was immaculate, and you could not ask for a better view or location. We cannot wait to come back and enjoy the Penthouse again. We loved it so much!

My husband and I love staying here (our 2nd time). It's a beautifully decorated, clean and well-stocked property. It's in the best location, right in downtown Mendocino, with easy access to all the shops. The best part is the large, wraparound deck with views of the headlands and ocean. We spent most of our time on the deck. It's also easy to hike around and even go down to a small, but quiet beach. The owner is very accommodating and wants the guests to have fun. We'll definitely be back again, along with our two small dogs!

We had a blast! We had 4 adults and 2 dogs and the accommodations were perfect! The location was amazing - you can’t beat the view!
The upstairs loft was so fun with a TV, games, guitars and books.
The kitchen had everything we needed and was very convenient so we didn’t need to have every meal out. There was plenty of space with comfortable furniture to relax.
The wrap around deck was fun for the dogs and they enjoyed every minute. The patio furniture on the deck was so nice to enjoy the sunset.
The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice.
The host was warm and welcoming and made our stay personal and special.
The local shops and restaurants are wonderful.
We were really impressed with the charm and decor of the Penthouse and we’d love to stay here again on our next Mendocino trip!

We stayed at the Penthouse for a long, birthday weekend. Being the beginning of March, the weather was cold, wet and stormy, with breaks of sunshine in between. It felt cosy watching the whales from the comfort of such a beautiful, clean and well-appointed home. When we arrived, there was a vase of lovely flowers, a birthday greeting and a box of chocolates! I felt SO spoiled! Lisa, the host is wonderful, and always available if there are questions. The 8 and 5 year-old children had a ball in the library room upstairs, playing some of the many games provided, while the grown-ups enjoyed relaxing by the windows, watching the terrific waves in the cove and ocean. I can't wait to get back there again. Thanks Lisa!

Lisa, our hostess, could not have been more solicitous of our welfare. We had to delay our arrival by one day due to a large storm. First of all, Lisa, was very concerned about the heating and the power, ensuring that the propane level in the tank and its functionality wound guarantee our comfort. We were completely comfortable, snug for the afternoon and evening. She responded to all of our queries so promptly.
The apartment is fully equipped for cooking. We did not want for any kitchen supplies as well, including baggies and wrapping materials.
I told Lisa, that I would give her a glowing review though out of self interest I wouldn't want to share such a treasure and fuel my competition for a return visit.

My husband and I hadn’t been to the village in over 5 years. Great to be there again. The Penthouse is exactly as advertised! Very comfortable and has everything you need. Not sure what it would be like staying there during the busy season right there on the main street, but our experience was very quiet and low key, which is what we wanted.

The only item I have is the bedding situation should be explained a little better. Yes there are 2 queen beds, ad says sleeps 4. A well worn futon is upstairs in the game room and a old couch in the living room where I slept. Maybe bunk beds would be better? Otherwise everything else was great!

The best. Not one complaint. Perfect location, beautiful views, quiet, superbly equipped, everything worked, and Lisa (host) was just attentive enough without being over attentive. The penthouse was the perfect property for a small family get away. The host thought of everything we could possibly meed during our stay., including a bottle of wine, nuts, fresh flowers and chocolates as a welcome gift.
The views from the front terrace is stunning. It was a treat to sit on the deck and have a glass of wine as the sun set.
Everything was so clean and well organized. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with great soaps and shampoos.
We were able to walk to everywhere in town from the apartment, and it was easy to get to the trail to walk along the headlands.
We had a 5 star experience at the penthouse!

This is a fantastic place to stay in Mendocino Village. It has incredible views, the perfect location, a great layout, and plenty of books and games to pass the time -- and it's pet-friendly! We also appreciated how clean the unit was. It's nice to see that the owners really care about providing a first-rate experience. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time! Our place was spacious and well equipped. In fact we made a full french toast breakfast for seven one morning and had plenty of space. The view from our balcony was amazing as was our host Lisa, who was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our family event.

This property was a stellar stay. The location can't be beat (as long as stairs aren't an issue)! The Main St. location was super convenient for access to local businesses, ocean views, and walks along the bluffs. The space was very well maintained and up to date. The furniture is well situated for enjoying the gorgeous ocean view. Everything is great quality - the two main beds, linens, cookware, etc. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We felt right at home. A great value!

This was our first stay at a VRBO and it was fantastic. Lisa was wonderful. The location was wonderful and the apartment was phenomenal. Lisa was attentive to our needs but also respectful of our privacy and independence. The apartment is in walking distance to all of downtown Mendocino. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. The apartment has cable/dish TV, which I do not think is mentioned in the amenities, but was an important feature for our family. The WiFi was great; helped me stay on top of my business while on vacation. The attention to detail in this home was amazing. It has everything you need to cook and feel at home....even facial tissues, which is always something I am searching for when I travel. The kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils, cookware, and cocktail making and drinking materials. Thank you Lisa for making our first VRBO experience so wonderful!

Lisa is a most gracious host and has taken care of every detail you could ask for! This place is stocked! Felt just like home!! Extremely clean and a homey welcoming feel. Upon check in were were met with snacks, a bottle of wine, fresh flowers and a sweet welcome note The property is in the perfect location with amazing views from the front deck. My husband and I have been to the Mendocino area many times and we were so happy to have found this little gem. This was our second time staying at the penthouse and will always be our “go to” when we come back. Not only are the views and location perfection but the home is warm and inviting and Lisa is the best host! She always makes us feel so welcomed and special (it was a birthday celebration). My husband and I cooked two of the three nights we were there and the kitchen was fully stocked with very nice cookware and all the utensils we needed. The penthouse is bliss, offering a quiet, peaceful and very scenic space❤️

We stay in Mendocino a couple of times a year, sometimes at BnBs but this Penthouse is so beautiful we hope it will be available as our very favorite. Very comfortable and stylish and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The views are stunning and it's so great to be right in the village and walk to everything. We didn't meet the landlady but she was there for us, and welcomed us with a beautiful tray of goodies.
Everything for our comfort was provided.

This is our favorite place to stay in Mendocino. We have stayed at the Penthouse on 4-5 different occasions and it's becoming a yearly event for our family. If you want to experience the heart of Mendocino this is the place to be. It's is vintage but with up to date accommodations, well maintained and supplied. Eating out is fun but we like to cook and the kitchen is well supplied with what you need. Looking forward to our next visit!

We've stayed in Mendocino Village many times over the past 20 years, but we've never stayed anywhere nearly as nice as this penthouse apartment. It has it all: incredible ocean views, a fantastic location, tons of space, beautiful furnishings and artwork, and a large, well-stocked kitchen. Checking in and out was a breeze, too. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

My daughter and I stayed in the Penthouse for 3 nights in October . It was magnificent ! The condo is very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing visit. And, the view! Just amazing! We truly enjoyed Mendocino and the Penthouse was the cherry on top. Walkable to everything that makes Mendocino special - great walking trails, the beach, shopping, dining. Perfection.
