We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home hidden down a lane near the Katama General Store. It is in a great location - private, yet walkable to the Edgartown shops and bikable to South Beach and Katama Beach. There was plenty of room for our group of seven adults. The house was well-equipped with essentials and even bikes and kayaks (note the listing requires you to provide your own sheets and towels). The owner was very responsive to all queries. We hope to return - Recommended!

We would stay here again and recommend it to a friend, which really says it all. A good value.

Our family had a wonderful time in this house in Katama/Edgartown. Perfect distance between the downtown of Edgartown and the Katama/South Beach area. This property has everything you need to enjoy your vacation on MV: the kitchen is stocked with nice appliances and pots and pans, great Weber grill, comfy beds. They even provide paper towels, toilet paper and shampoo. You’ll need to bring your own bed sheets and towels, tho. We had a minor problem with ants and spiders, but I’m sure that was because we were the first renters of the season. Excellent communication with Alex the owner of the property. He is a nice guy who responded to all questions/concerns quickly. Would highly recommend this Vrbo.

There were all the comforts of home plus an outdoor porch and so much more. Much thought was put into making guests feel comfortable and having everything available to just relax while being in this family style home.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It is spacious and provides a calm retreat but still an easy walk to town. Alex was so easy to communicate with and promptly responded to questions.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this home. The location has an up island feel as it is private, yet it is walking distance to Edgartown village. The home itself was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed eating meals on the screen in porch!

This is a fantastic vacation rental and we had a wonderful week. The house was perfect for our family and has plenty of beds and bathrooms. It’s comfortable, well stocked and we loved eating meals in the screened porch. It has a private setting but is conveniently located close to town and south beach. Easy access to the bike path allowed us to safely ride bikes and run each day.

We have an excellent vacation in this home! Perfect for our family, with young kids, and enough room for two small families! We were pleasantly surprised with some house upgrades that were not listed online and the home is in the ideal location. Close enough to town and Norton Point Beach with a very short walk to Katama General for a quick meal. Alex was also very quick to respond and a big help. Hope to return next year!

A beautiful property and an excellent location....all conveniences are provided

This is a great house, but could use a few updates. We had 7 adults and one one toddler and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was big enough for us, but not very well equipped. Not enough coffee mugs for all of us, and most had chips around the rim. We cooked a lot of meals, great skillets, but not enough utensils or serving bowls & platters. The sofas desperately need to be replaced in the living room, and more seating so everyone can be in there at once. Overall, I would rent this house again because it is a great layout and great location, but I would hope that a few simple updates could be made.

We had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful Edgartown home. The location is perfect -- a short walk into the charming downtown and a quick bike ride to South Beach. The home itself is absolutely lovely. It's charming but spacious at the same time, with plenty of room for everyone. The owners were so welcoming and great at communicating information about the property. We are definitely planning on going back again next summer!

Overall our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was great for walking in to town, short drives to beach and sound and on the bike path. Loved the secluded lot and screened-in porch. House was a great fit for our family. We would rent this property again!

This was the perfect home for Us during Edgartown race week. The house is actually roomier than the photos indicate. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to others without reservation!

Went here for 4th of July vacation with my girlfriend (now fiance after proposing on the island) and her family. House had everything one would need and was well within walking distance of downtown Edgartown. Rooms were more than adequate for the family. Nothing but praise for this residence.

This place was a great choice for us. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The location is unbeatable - secluded and quiet, but very close to everything! Across the street from Katama General Store, 10 min walk to Edgartown, grocery stores, quick bike ride to the beach, etc. Alex is a great host, and the house was perfectly appointed for a relaxing retreat. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone bringing their family to the Vineyard.

We had a wonderful two week family vacation at this great house. The owner, Alex, was wonderful throughout the entire process.

This is a great house to rent for a single family. It is well-maintained, clean, with a spacious downstairs and enough space upstairs. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 baths, and another bath downstairs. It also has an office off the master bedroom and a screened in porch/dining area off the family room/kitchen area. It is very well located, technically in Katama, but very close -- walking distance actually, to the shops of Edgartown. With the exception of the outdoor shower, everything was in perfect working condition, and the owners also permit you to use their bicycles, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. I would definitely recommend this house, and we hope to stay there again next summer.

This house was located 200 feet from Katama General Store perfect for morning coffee and delicious scones, croissants, and other goodies, barely a half-mile walk into Edgartown, and just a 3-4 mile bike ride to South Beach. House was wonderfully appointed in the kitchen and throughout the house. Alex is a terrific host. We were quite happy with this perfect headquarters for exploring the Vineyard.

We had a family reunion at the lovely home. It was perfect for our situation and visit. One of our sons and his family sailed in to Edgartown and found the closeness of being able to walk to and from the house to the port to be very handy and a beautiful scenic walk. The owner was very helpful and accommodating to our timing and situation. Thank you so much! Everything, even the weather for the whole week, thank the Lord, was wonderful!

After spending several overnights on Marthas Vineyard last year at B&Bs we decided to spend a week and rent a house. This home is beautiful and impeccably clean. Three bedrooms and a fourth office room provided ample room for the family. The secluded/quiet area was perfect for our getaway. For anyone not familiar with the Vineyard, the bus system is great. This location is on the South Beach bus route and is walking distance to Edgartown to shop or catch a bus to Oak Bluffs. You can bike or bus to South Beach or bus to Oak Bluff beaches! Perfect for all ages. We will be booking again next year.

Thank you for the terrific accommodations! The house is just as described: well-appointed and ideally situated on a quiet property just a short walk from town and with the Katama market across the street. On our week there we explored the entire island without a car, riding the bikes provided around Chappy and up island, walking daily, and hopping buses to other towns. We also lucked out to a week with beautiful weather and no crowds, though even on a crowded summer weekend this house would feel away from it all. Thanks again, we'll be back! K+A

Came here for a long weekend, and had an amazing stay. The house is spacious, well laid out, and very comfortable. The location is ideal, a short walk into the heart of Edgartown, yet private and secluded. Katama General Store is right out front for coffee and a newspaper in the morning, and with the bike trail right in front there is easy access to South Beach, Morning Glory Farm, etc. I highly recommend the house!
