We had a great time at this warm rustic home. It was spacious, had the perfect layout for our 3 families and was appointed with everything we needed. The owners were quick to respond to all our questions and didn’t have any stressful requests during the check out process (like pull sheets, run laundry tie, turn down thermostat and sort garbage etc etc etc) making it completely painless for us. Like they said, “you’re on vacay!” Thank you John and Brenda, your home is lovely and this is the first vrbo we’ve all wanted to rent again!! Hope to be back again soon!

perfect for a holiday gathering of family. Definitely need 4 wheel drive to access the location. Okemo was a quick trip, the town of Ludlow adorable with some great shops. Finding a Pizza place open was next to impossible and the online sites were not accurate. The only thing we were not prepared for was the dry air coming from the south. The skiing was perfect and our dog LOVED purpoising through the snow!

Nice Home- Great fireplace with lots of wood. Well stocked, private, convenient to town, Ludlow cute town. Nice yard for the dog to play. Negatives- Some of the furniture needs replacing, we brought a new car with a lower front and road coming in is rough and gravel. Suggest bringing a SUV.

We had a lovely stay. It is peaceful and secluded. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. Our dog had a great time making perimeter checks on the ground. Manager was very responsive and helpful when we had scheduling difficulty due to illness, which e greatly appreciated. Many things to do in town and places to eat. A lovely spot.

This house will not disappoint. We had more than enough space for a family of four and two dogs. The property is surrounded by woods and stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. We absolutely loved staying here. And the kids did too. We skied Okemo (great mountain) and spent some time downtown. Tacos Tacos and the arcade were huge hits. Many thanks to John and Brenda for sharing your amazing space! As far as responsiveness goes, we had an issue with the wifi and it was resolved immediately. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to return some day soon.

The house itself is great. There were a few bumps: Silverware was dirty, the silverware draw disgusting with old food and crumbs. Salad servers old and rusty. Second floor every room has peeling sheetrock tape and in poor condition. Lower level bathroom pump stopped working on day 2 toilet and shower floor flooded. Texted owner, they responded the next day. We were unable to use that bathroom with 10 people staying there. :( Some of the sheets were old and covered in pilling. This is a wonderful home and is in need of a little "love and attention to detail"

This is a clean, comfortable, accommodating property that's well equipped and in a great country location - about 10 minutes from Okemo. The drive in from town is beautiful, and even more so driving toward town, which provides grand views of Okemo. I emailed the owners twice - once close to check in and one at check out. They responded within a few moments, each time. Good times for all!

Our family had a fabulous month-long stay at Berry Patch! House is well-equipped to settle right in. Loads of space for family and friends. Great location. 10 minutes from town and Okemo Mountain. And great hosting!

If you are looking for a large cabin style house in the woods for your getaway, THIS IS IT...lots of room to roam inside, well stocked kitchen to cook, huge dining room table, the views from all the windows are fantastic especially the bedrooms you can lay in bed and watch the sky changing, lower level family room is perfect for kids getaway with a private bunk room, plenty of wood for the fireplace as we kept that burning everyday, compliments to the owner for the dedicated area in the laundry to keep all our ski gear after skiing, the slope is only 10-12 minutes away we could go back to the house for lunch and return skiing without losing a lot of time, bathrooms have hot strong showers thank you! We did experience a power outage but the generator kicked right in thank you again! We walked the rustic trail right out the front door up in the woods which is just a beautiful sight, the roads were treated very well to make travel very easy with a 4x4 vehicle (recommended), the streets are quiet great to walk the dogs, the snowy hill at the house allowed us have fun sledding. It rained Christmas day and we were unable to ski, but played games, ate well and just simply had family fun!! This is a perfect Vermont house. Thank you owners for all the thought in making this house a great stay, We hope to be back!

4th year we have stayed at this beautiful house for holiday. House has everything you need, just bring the essentials, start the fire, crack open a beer/wine and enjoy the laughs. House is always pristine, and the owners make sure your stay is always 5 stars! Hoping to keep our yearly tradition for many more years, as our family has grown to love the time in Ludlow at this beautiful getaway!

The cabin is in a great location and only a few minutes from Ludlow center if you take S Hill road. It is well furnished and has such a cozy feel to it. Great internet connection! The kitchen is well stocked. I loved the wood burning fireplace. Peaceful and private location. We loved the property and really relaxed whilst we were there.

We booked this house for our first Vermont family vacation. The house, location and amenities were perfect for our family of 5 boys (22-12). We enjoyed hiking, swimming and star gazing in the area. Owners were responsive and helpful. We would definitely rent this home again.

We had a lovely time at this wonderful property. It is near okemo mountain and downtown ludlow, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the beautiful wooded location. The house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and everyone loved the foosball table! It is dog friendly and the owners were always accessible by email or text. Our group loved it!

We enjoyed our summertime stay here. The location was an ideal base to use for exploring the local area. The house was fully stocked with amenities and was clean and cozy. The owners were very responsive whenever we had questions or needed anything. We would love to come back in the winter and stay here and ski at Okemo!

Beautiful house and great location. You definitely need 4x4, but a lot of fun driving the local roads in VT’s “mud season”. Will definitely return.

Great house on a great property and perfect for families. We had a great family trip, the house was very clean and had everything we needed including a great backyard hill for sledding. John was extremely accessible and responsive.

This large Vermont cabin was perfectly located to enjoy all that Okemo and Ludlow have to offer.

We were looking for a spot in the woods with enough privacy and land for us and our mutt, yet close enough to civilization for shopping, and this spot did not disappoint. Terrific kitchen (we cooked everyday), more firewood than we could ask for, comfortable beds, pretty good internet and cellular connection and super responsive hosts. We would absolutely make a return visit.

We enjoyed our stay at our vacation rental. The secluded location was perfect for Fall time, leaves were changing colors all around the property. There was a nice trail that lead you to a scenic overlook. We enjoyed the nice pine smell in the cabin, the house was well stocked and nicely kept when we arrived. We had enough pillows and towels for everyone for 8 adults, 1 teen and 4 little kids. We would definitely rent this property again. We greatly appreciate John and Brenda's quick responses to our questions and their hospitality!

Everything was exactly as described with no hidden surprises. The home is perfectly tucked far enough away for total seclusion and privacy but yet just a short ten minute drive into town. Its cozy, comfortable, spacious and clean. We enjoyed every minute of our time there and would absolutely go back to this home again!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay. There were 8 of us and we were very comfortable. A bear had gotten into the trash when we arrived but John told us where to put trash inside the basement to not tempt the bear. The kitchen had everything we needed and we ended up cooking in every night. The only suggestion I have would be curtains for the main level bathroom window.

Beautiful home. Very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of space to spread out for 6 of us and there was one bedroom we didn't even use. It was a peaceful time away!

We have stayed at this cabin many times when skiing okemo. It’s perfect! Ten minutes from the mountain, clean and cozy. It’s so nice to come back to it after a day out in the cold. The owners, John and Brenda, are easy to reach and very helpful. Road plowed early and done very well.
