The place was perfect for our large group, plenty of bedrooms, clean kitchen and ping pong. We highly recommend the place and the owners were kind and responsive.

House was nice. 4 wheel drive a must in the winter. Well water was a challenge during our stay.. often without water but owner was responsive & tried to deal with it quickly

Had a great week out sightseeing shopping swimming kayaking rock jumping. Nice house minus the lack of water as we ran out. Was informed the week of rental that it could be an issue.

Our family enjoyed a 5-day stay in July at this property. We had many nearby options for daily outings (e.g. Things To Do list at horseshoeacrescampground.com). In the evenings we enjoyed puzzles, board games, ping-ping tournaments, and TV/gaming. The kitchen was adequately furnished for dining in. Joanne was responsive and helpful when we had questions. Lots of bug spray was needed in the yard near dusk.

Went with eight guys, house was like they said, property excellent, and the home owners were very helpful. Would recommend this rental house.

Cozy and great for big group and family.

I surprised my fiancé with a long weekend ski trip and invited 3 of his best friends and their partners for his birthday. The house was perfect for our group and there was plenty of extra space for additional people that we didn’t even use! Only about 15 minutes from the mountain too! The living room is wonderful with lots of seating, beautiful fire, and board games galore! We had a blast, joanne was amazing with communication, and we hope to come back to visit soon!

Joanne was a wonderful host! Everything was as described and accommodated my group of 14 perfectly! If you’re looking for a place just 5 minutes out of town but feels like you’re secluded this is the spot for you.

Joanne's house was perfect for our group of 7. The adults had plenty of space to lounge around in the house, and the kids had plenty of room to run around inside and outside. The front yard offers wonderful views of the mountains and of Okemo. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, and the firepit areas outside.

We had a nice week kayaking, golfing, hiking. Even though the power went out and we had one day at the house it was a very relaxing experience ... maybe because the power went out - it was a more relaxing experience. Contact with the owner was easy even when the power was out. Thank you for everything.

The house was perfect for 3 families (12 total- 6 adults, 6 teenage kids) for us to get away and enjoy Vermont. The property is private with plenty of outdoor space with plenty to do only minutes away. We enjoyed activities during the day (hiking, swimming, kayaking, etc) and were able to unwind at the house at the end of the day by cooking out on the grill and relaxing by one of the two fire pits. It was just the vacation that we all needed to recharge our batteries. Joanne was extremely responsive to any questions we had. I can’t say enough about this property. We created memories that will last a lifetime!

We have been taking this trip for 7 years now and by far this was our favorite rental and we WILL be back. Property was awesome, the privacy was great and only 15 minutes to Okemo. The view of Okemo was more than gorgeous. We would watch the groomers on the mountain at night while sitting by the fire pit. Owner was very accommodating and detailed, checking in and out of the property was a breeze. Plenty of room and beds for 3 families. Adults upstairs, kids downstairs, and everyone meet in the middle by the fireplace in the great room. House was well stocked and well kept. Plenty of wood for fire place and fire pit. Was awesome coming back from the slopes lighting the fire pit and watching the kids sledding in the front yard. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Much thanks to the owner and we highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a Vermont getaway

My family and one other used this property for A recent ski trip to Okemo and it was excellent. Couldn’t have been happier with the house and we will definitely return.

We stayed at the "Love Shack" with family for the MLK weekend. The house was set up perfectly for our situation (grandparents, 3 families with 6 children). The main floor was spacious enough and cozy enough to enjoy spending time together by the fire/while cooking, etc. but the downstairs was a great place for the kids to have an area of their own. Our kids enjoyed the hill in the back for sledding and playing in the snow and it was a ~15 minute drive to Okemo. The property owners were thoughtful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Joanne was a very attentive homeowner. We loved the downstairs living space which was big enough to support the number of beds that the home offered. Unfortunately our AWD SUV's tires weren't quite good enough to get through some fresh snow on the driveway. Beautiful setting.

We had a great holiday weekend at this house. There was plenty of space for our group of 14 to spread out but also room for us all to be together. Very close to Okemo and The town of Ludlow. The owner was very responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend this property!

The home was beautiful and easy to find. The views were spectacular! The house was clean and prepared for our arrival, the owner was quick with her responses and ready to help with anything needed. Only thing I would change is it is time to update the grill. I would absolutely stay here again, Thank You!

Stayed with a group of 6 for some R&R and rafting with Zoar on the West River. Fantastic location...away from it all but just a short drive to Ludlow for any major needs. The house is perfect and Joanne was super helpful throughout the process. The outdoor speakers are an awesome touch for grilling and hanging out on the deck or by the firepit. Would definitely recommend.

An adventure to find in a snowstorm but well worth the trip. Nice owners to work with. Basement bed rooms a bit musty but 2nd floor bed rooms lovely. Would gladly rent here again.

Had a group of people in need of a place at the last minute for a golf weekend and the owner was exceedingly accommodating. She responded to my request within minutes and was very helpful in setting up the reservation. The house is awesome, the deck has fantastic views of Okemo, first floor has a nice open layout and there are plenty of bedrooms. Thanks again for having us and we hope to come up in the winter at some point for some skiing. Highly recommend renting this house.
