Located right on the Gulf side of the Keys. So very relaxing. This is an excellent location mid way down the Keys between Key Largo and Key West. Many close beaches and a walk/bike path close by. Loved it.

What an amazing place. Everything I needed was perfectly provided; shade, sun, clouds, fish, pelicans, privacy when I wanted it, company when I felt like talking. Every day I walked to the nearby bridge for sunrise; every evening I spent two hours watching the colors bounce off clouds and water. I hiked trails at Long Key State Park but most of the time I stayed in my spacious apartment, quilting, painting, and reading. The bed was great, the WiFi strong, the kitchen well-provisioned. What a perfect place to get away.

This is the place for you if you have a boat. Dont get me wrong its not just for boaters. First they have there own boat ramp easy in and out. Sunsets are amazing, the back area and docks are great. The inside is updated and clean, unlike most of the other places. Would i stay here again absolutely. David

My husband and I have stayed on Conch Key before but this was our first time at Sunset Villas. First let me say that it is aptly named -- There's probably no place in the keys more beautiful for viewing the sunset. The huge deck area, which is just outside your door, is perfectly situated for watching the sunset every evening, and the Wiatt's have provided many seating arrangements for you -- waterside, hammock, crow's nest, or simply looking out your door. So lovely. The tandem kayak is very stable and an enjoyable way to explore the area - we found a large lobster colony along the highway in the rocks below - they were so cute! And Katrina gave us plenty of info to keep us out of trouble on the water. The bikes were also fun, as you have a little store a couple of blocks away - just ride the bike over to pick up what you need. We also rode the bikes north across the pedestrian bridge toward Layton -- the crabs all along the Overseas Highway Trail were so fun to watch. We only ate out 2 times -- the day we arrived and the night before we left because we caught so many fish right off the dock at Sunset Villas that we were able to have fresh fish every day while we were there. On Wednesday, we went out fishing with Captain Dan and had an awesome time! He recommended that we eat at Habanos in Islamorada and it did not disappoint! (they'll also cook your catch for you). the rest of our time was spent snorkeling right around the sea wall at Sunset Villas and also at Bahia Honda State Park - well worth the $$ and the drive down to explore. The swimming area may seem a little crowded but it doesn't scare the fish away. You'll still have a great snorkeling experience there. just one last thing -- we stayed in the Captain's quarter (1 br) -- the apartment was spotless, with 2 entry doors which both have a table and chairs right out the door and water views on both sides. The bed was very comfortable, the laundry is available 5 steps out your door. The kitchen had most everything you'd need for preparing your meals there, including a steamer basket(!) and a big pot for cooking lobsters. There is no more beautiful and reasonably priced vacation rental in the Keys! Katrina and Bill provide many things you need to enjoy your outings without having to buy extra stuff while you're there, like coolers and water toys. They also have fishing poles -- just bring your reels.

I'm late in providing a review from our stay but I just wanted to let everyone know that we loved this place! Bill and Katrina were SUPER friendly. The sunsets were beautiful! The Captain's Quarters was very clean and perfect for my husband and I. We loved how close we were to everything, yet how nice and peaceful it was here. It's definitely a place to "unplug" from your busy life and "reconnect" with what life is all about. I know this isn't very detailed but if you are considering this rental - DO IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! ps...I clicked for ages 55+ but I am 41 and my hubby is 43...WE LOVED IT.

We stayed in the flagship and it surpassed our expectations. Every thing inside and out was clean and perfect. Everyone was so friendly and nice! We really did not want to leave. On the property there were so many spots to relax and just enjoy the view. With the boat launch on the property it could not be anymore accommodating and the dock where our boat set was only steps away. Restaurants, shopping , and grocery store where close and easy to get too. Cant wait to go back!!

If you're looking for a quiet hideaway in the keys this is absolutely the perfect place. Beautiful water with the most beautiful sunsets! We stayed in the Captain's Quarters and it was perfect for two. Very spacious, very clean; a wonderful get-a-way with the conveniences of home. We brought our boat and it was so nice to be literally just steps away to the dock from our villa. Islamorada and Marathon are also conveniently close for shops and restaurants. The decks, hammock and quiet atmosphere were what we enjoyed the most! Choose Sunset Villas and unplug! Loved it! Thank you Katrina and Bill for sharing an amazing piece of paradise!
