Gail and Tim were fantastic hosts and the loft was perfect for me and my husband. The lake is beautiful, and it was such a peaceful, restful vacation. Tons to do with Tanglewoid right there, great restaurants and lots if time to read and relax. Can't wait to go back

Beautiful, peaceful location on a pristine lake, it is also convenient for visiting the southern Berkshires. The loft is cozy, well organized and immaculate. The hosts are lovely and very welcoming. One highlight was kayaking on Goose Pond shortly before sunset. Highly recommended!

A birthday celebration for two nights in an adorable cottage. Everything you could want soft robes, great towels , comfy bed , coffee pot a refrig a porch very well stocked. Gail and Tim are wonderful hosts !!!! Of course Isabella won our hearts !!! We kayaked and hydrobiked the lake is magnificent! A percent getaway celebration! We will return!!!!

We hope to go back. The lake was beautiful. Loved the kayaking, hydo-biking and swimming. Loft had everything we needed. And hosts could not be nicer or more responsive. Can't thank them enough!

Tim and Gail were gracious knowledgeable hosts. Everything needed is a 5 minute drive, groceries and the Lee outlets. The area is quite beautiful.

Booked this as a two night stay around a Saturday show at Tanglewood. Easy check-in and check-out. Easy ride in and out of Lennox. We were too busy exploring the area to use the lake, but the lake looked lovely and would have been a great added bonus. It is bigger than it appears, was just right for parents with our college age daughter. There was room for a fourth, but that might have felt a bit more on top of one another. Isabella, the dog, was my daughter';s favorite thing about the whole trip.

Spent two nights at the loft for a concert at Tanglewood.Great location, had everything you could need and owners could not have been nicer.Hope to be back soon

Comparing other properties this one is a clear winner. On site homeowners were wonderful. The setting is magical. Price is perfect. Its a unique property which had plenty of room for myself and my friends family of 4, although there is no formal bedroom. The Lake is a Berkshire hidden gem and one of the cleanest in the state. Ample fishing, with catch and release as always. Lots of room to relax wherever despite the size. Just a great spot for a getaway or a family. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the owners! The loft is absolutely perfect! Tim and Gail built it themselves and added so many amazing architectural details, like a bannister made from a sailboat mast. The loft is incredibly cozy with everything you could think to need. The lake is gorgeous, with an upper part you can kayak to that is part of a national park and has no houses on it. Gail and Tim had four single kayaks, one double kayak, a canoe, and a hydrobike that they were kind enough to let us use. We had so much fun kayaking and swimming every day. On our last night, Tim even made us a campfire. I would highly recommend staying here.

Thoughtfully created, decorated, and supplied with all you need for a great getaway. While you are "away from it all", this location is close to some great little towns with plenty to do.

My wife and I booked a weekend stay at The Loft to celebrate our anniversary (sans kids). We had such a wonderful time. Gail and Tim were extremely welcoming and went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. The property was clean, cozy, well maintained, and located on a pristine lake. Literally the best stay we’ve ever had…location was perfect and guests made it the perfect stay. Central to everything from restaurants, hiking and the outlets. We’ll be booking again!

After exhausting ourselves with the cities of New York, Newport, Boston and others, it was perfect to be able to slow down, catch our breath and enjoy the beauty of the area. The loft is perfectly located for exploring all that the area has to offer at a leisurely pace.

The loft was the perfect place for my friend and I to have a relaxing girls weekend! The property was amazing! Steps away from a beautiful lake where we were able to go kayaking, relax by the water, and enjoy a fire in the evening! The loft itself was perfect - had so much character and plenty of space for two adults; great atmosphere all around! The location is perfect as well! Close to many hiking trails and a little downtown area with shops and restaurants. Tim and Gail were terrific hosts! They thought of everything guests would need when staying in the loft! They even built my friend and I a fire in the outdoor fire pit one evening. They were very responsive when communicating before the trip and available during our stay. We highly recommend the loft!

First of all, this loft is in the perfect location. The lake is beautiful, and the hosts take great pride in their property- and wanted to make sure we felt like we were at home. The Loft was perfect for what we were looking for- relaxation, a home base for some Berkshire adventures, and a home away from home. Tim, Gail, and Isabelle were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. What a great place for our girls weekend! Thank you both so much!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised how nice this cozy loft was. And it was exactly that. In a perfect place for R&R or if you wanted to do outdoor adventures. Gail and Tim were wonderful hosts. And their dog Isabella greeted us as well. Tim came right out upon our arrival and showed us where everything was and how it worked. A very great experience for us.

The loft was simply perfect. Incredibly well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, loads of towels, comfy bed and spotless. The location was incredibly convenient but also felt like we were 'away'. The shared property on the lake, with dock and access to kayaks, etc. was so pretty and Gail and Tim were exceptional hosts and generous. We'll be back!

The loft space is cozy and comfortable, uniquely designed and very clean. The pond is everything you could want! Gorgeous and crystal clear. Gail is a wonderful host, and very generous with use of the space. I loved kayaking, hydro-biking, swimming, and relaxing in the loft. Looking forward to returning soon.

Comfortable and quiet with everything we needed.

We loved our stay at Goose Pond. The location was great for beaching, swimming and kayaking, and Gail and Tim were great hosts, and Isabella their dog is very nice and friendly . There are lots of chairs for lounging at the private lakeside and kayaks for paddling. The room was charming and perfect for us (a couple). The back deck was very private and we enjoyed breakfast and night time stargazing there. We had everything we needed in the small kitchen And a nice living room seating area as well Easy rides to Lenox and Tanglewood(20mins) and other Berkshire attractions and towns, hiking etc. we wished we could stay longer!

The Loft is just LOVELY! The photos do not do it justice. It’s larger than it appears & very well appointed! It has all that you could want & then some! The hosts are very communicative, friendly & accommodating. I would very highly recommend a stay & will definitely return when I can!

We had an absolutely wonderful time - kayaking and swimming in Goose Pond, enjoying performances at Jacob's Pillow and Tanglewood, hiking, and more! Gail and Tim were so hospitable - we can't wait till our next trip!

The hosts Gail and Tim were so nice, full of helpful advice about local restaurants and back routes. My wife and I were solo the first night, two friends joined us for the second night. The cabin sleeps 5 quite comfortably, but it has to be people who are comfortable being around each other, there are no walls between beds. It's absolutely ideal for one couple and still quite comfortable for 4-5. The pond views are spectacular, the whole area is lush and bountiful looking. Highly recommended rental.

We had such an awesome time at the loft and we hope to return. Like many reviews before us stated, the photos do not do it justice. The craftsmanship, attention to detail and comfort were unmatched. Our oldest son loved the captains bed and kept saying how much he loved our vacation home. We really did feel right at home from the minute we arrived. Gail, Tim and Isabella were excellent, accomidating, helpful and kind hosts! Everything we thought we might need was already there. We fished Goose pond, ate at many host reccomended local restaraunts and had a beautiful relaxing weekend. The views from the loft windows are all lovely. We hope our next trip we can stay longer. The loft is amazing! Comfortable and has everything you need. The pond was peaceful. We were fishing and kayaking each day. The hosts Gail and Tim were super nice and quick to answer any questions we had. We grabbed ice cream in town at Lucky’s. It was delicious. We had a lovely weekend!

This loft was awesome! Gail and Tim were awesome hosts. The loft is an architectural wonder with natural wood, hand made touches throughout, comfortable bed and furniture and a cozy gas stove. The lakeside location was great. We loved the floating dock and aqua cycle! Gail told us about a back road that led us a cattle pastures, Mountain View’s and nature. You can’t beat the location. We drove the long way to Great Barrington. What a wonderful day! This place is 5 stars!

Loved everything about The Lodge. We had everything we needed and then some. The property was very clean and organized. Loved the little touches like the bathrobes and the info booklet on the kitchen table. We plan on going back next year, hopefully at least a couple of times!

We had a great time at the Loft! It was well equipped with everything you could need and it was quaint… Gail and Tim took the rowboat out of dry dock for us and we spent 5 hours on the lake fishing…. So much fun! If you want beautiful surroundings, great hosts and a comfy, cozy place to stay… the Loft is it!! Thank you Tim and Gail!!

We had a wonderful stay from the moment we arrived. They made us feel like welcome friends. The property is beautiful and perfectly maintained. We were only sorry that we left a little early in the day because it it l was raining so day, and we couldn't make his use of the lake. We hope to return.
