We had an incredible time. The house was beautiful. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves was amazing. Host was incredibly attentive. We loved the hot tub. We highly recommend this exquisite home.

The property exceeded my expectations in all ways. The location was superb, very comfortable beds beautiful views and plenty of extra supplies in cabinets for cooking and meal prep. This is a great place to visit. We will return for sure.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! In opening my families review of this incredible property I will lead with: If you don't enjoy the sound of waves do not stay here! My family enjoyed this special place from February 20, 2024, until March 5, 2024. This property has everything you needed to feel like home. We cooked up many an incredible meal for family and friends that left no need to eat out each night.
The Lanai table be it early morning or evening was a perfect setting to visit, watch sunrises and sunsets, enjoy the incredible meals, or just to rest in solitude. The lawn area below by the rock wall was a great place to sit in chairs and watch all the sea life below in the tide pools. Feeding the six eels when the tide was in was one of our trip's highlights. Any fish trimmings would always start a feeding frenzy when they located their prey.
The beds were comfortable. The fans above and the sea breezes thru the patio door screens was all the cooling affect you might need. We didn't feel the need to turn on the A.C. at any time. The bathrooms like the whole house were very clean. Hot water was never a problem taking multiple showers in the morning or evening. The kitchen cabinets we loaded with everything you would ever need to cook whatever meal was needed. The electric stove was a little tricky for us, I think mainly all of us had gas ranges at home. The barbecue though simple did and incredible job at grilling great steaks and seafood.

We booked Dave's place to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday.
The day prior to arriving, I had messaged Dave for check in instructions as I had not received anything. He replied many hours later saying he would text me the details.
Never have I had to give personal phone number to get check in details, so I did not feel comfortable doing so, and on the day of the check-in, I messaged him on vrbo again for check in details. No reply.
Long story short, we had to be re- wait 2 hours to get check in information

Beautiful location- best view on the island! The house was fully stocked with everything you need including washing pods and seasonings (saved some money).
The neighborhood cat was an added bonus. This house is close to lots of shopping and beaches. It was great!

House was great, true to the pics. Feeding the eels, seeing the neighborhood cat, gazing at the tide pools, enjoying the hot tub, and lounging at the surf was awesome. Home was in great shape. Location is good too, very close to restaurants and beaches for snorkeling or enjoying the waves in the water at magic sands.

The house is situation overlooking banyan's cove, you can feed the morays, watch the stars come out, sit in the jacuzzi, and listen to the crashing surf.

Beautiful waterfront home near center of town with spectacular views from upstairs and downstairs master bedrooms. House gives a great tropical vacation vibe, well appointed with all comforts. It was a humid time in Kona but the whole house AC worked perfectly for sleeping while providing open access to the waterfront yard and porch. We are a 3-generation family of 6 adults (ages 74,73, 57, 50, 23 and 21) and it was perfect for all of us. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and made the entire process stress-free. I would come back again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of space for our family of 5, well stocked kitchen and fabulous outdoor space. We loved that we could snorkel just steps away from the property, be careful at low tide though. Honestly we didn’t even need to snorkel anywhere else, there were so many fish right behind the house!

WOW! This property—the house, the lanai, the yard, the view—is spectacular! Capt Dave was very easy to communicate with. Great house for a family. Those with very young kids will need to be attentive to stairs and backyard garden wall facing water. Snorkeling in the bay is great!

I can't say enough good things about this stay. The home was more perfect than we could have imagined. It had all the supplies and amenities we needed for a dream vacation by the sea for my hubby and I, our two teenagers, and their two friends. We loved the location right on the ocean. Just over the front yard sea wall was our own private little slice of ocean paradise. We saw dolphins, sea turtles, rainbows, a multitude of colorful fish, and moray eels. The eels came right up to be fed, which was super cool for all of us but especially the kids. The little beach next door provided great ocean access, but definitely watch out for sea urchins! Wear protective water shoes and you are in for a beautiful swim, snorkel, or boogie board experience. We were just close enough to Kona to easily bop into town for supplies, food, and fun, but far enough away to feel like we had our own quiet little place away from all the hustle and bustle. Awesome beaches were all within easy driving distance. Communication with the manager was excellent too. We will 100% be back!

The property is spectacular. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place. The house can accommodate several people and it has space for large meals together. Watching the surfers right outside the window was awesome.

This is so far my most favorite VRBO property I have stayed in to date! The views are gorgeous, the collapsing windows and doors bring the relaxing ocean sounds right into the home. The hot tub was an amazing place to relax and unwind. The host was friendly, responsive and helped ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

The home was beautiful and very comfortable.
The view from the lanai looking out over Lyman's Bay and into the Pacific was fantastic! With sounds of the oceans and waves crashing on the volcanic rock shoreline soothing to the senses. Whales passing by in the distance with one almost fully breaching. Dolphins passed by near the mouth of the bay and rays near the shore feeding. A wonderful memorable time!

Appreciated the host's prompt, friendly and clear communications. The home is lovely inside with a homey Island vibe (not hotel vibe). The ocean view and access were exactly as described. Two very spacious and well appointed ocean view rooms, with a smaller third bedroom. Well organized and open kitchen. Dishwasher. Two coffee-making options (Keurig and Mr. Coffee machines) to enjoy some famous Kona coffee. Tea available too. Good flow and use of space throughout. A/C (thank you!) throughout the home and ceiling fans kept the indoor space cool and comfortable. Massage chair was a big hit! There is parking in front of the garage and the side gate. If driving a full size SUV, you must park parallel to the garage or in front of the side gate (car might stick out a tiny bit), or you can park on Ali'i Drive in front of (not behind) the "no parking" sign. Thank you and hope to revisit soon!

This house was a big reason my parents had such a lovely time in Hawaii. Right on the water, a one minute walk to a small beach, close to the main Ali’i area, and personal touches in the house that made our stay feel so luxurious. The home had everything you’d need (but buy your own laundry detergent!). I’m so glad we didn’t need to buy water shoes, boogie boards, extra beach towels, etc.
We enjoyed breakfast each day outside with the neighborhood kitty, and spotted dolphins on two of those mornings. This was my parents’ first vacation in many years, and I know my mom will be talking about the views and experiences staying in this home gave us. Thank you!

Beach front paradise
The stay from start to finish was one to remember! The views on the water, the updated home and tide pools in the backyard at unbeatable! Spent the weekend eating every meal on the back porch listening to the waves crash before your eyes. Feeding the eels and the friendly kitty were nice bonus points. Location unbeatable, we’ll worth the price!
