House is nice and pretty spacious. Kitchen has most of what you need. Extra linens and blankets, more than enough towels. The soaker tub was awesome. It’s always a pleasant surprise when there’s a soaker tub AND enough hot water to fill it. A couple things to note: we stayed over new years week, the downstairs bedrooms get really warm, especially at night. The upstairs bedrooms (even with their own thermostat up there) were really cold. My oldest daughter and mom ended up wearing layers to bed, while I (on the first floor, and who is always cold….) Was sweating like crazy with the fan on cracking a window. Also the checkout list requires you to do a lot of your own clean up, like running load of towels and dishes and putting them away and still being out of the house by 10am. Some of the outdoor patio furniture probably needs a little update, as some of it is rusting and a couple of the cushions on the loungers were starting to come apart. Wasn’t a big deal tho.

I have stayed in a ton of VRBO properties and this was by far my favorite. It was just as advertised and was right on the water. I have nothing but praise for this property. I would definitely stay again!

The house is fantastic. Three bedrooms have fantastic views and open to the sound of the waves. Very comfortable. All pots and pans, glasses, and utensils you could possibly need. Would stay here again!

Great layout, all bedrooms have in-suite bedrooms. Great unobstructed ocean views steps away from the beach. Saw dolphins and ocean life daily!

I have to admit something. The cynical side of me thought the photos were a trick of some kind. Absolutely not! Just about 12 steps or so to the water. Excellent location, not a lot of people, neighbors were awesome, house was well taken care of. Home owner helped with a small issue and the maintenance guy was there in a few hours on a Sunday. Very relaxing trip! Such a great island with friendly and helpful people.

If there's ever a perfect get-away place, this is it! The location of the house on the beach is ridiculously great, and the house itself had everything we needed for our six-day stay. The set up of a bunk room and three large king size beds/rooms was ideal for our group -- grandparents, adult kids/spouses, and Grands. Really, I can't say enough nice things about this place! Thank you!

We took my in-laws to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. It was everything we hoped for and more. The house was wonderful and the fact that we got to bring our fur babies made it even better. The house had everything we needed. We thought about trying a few of the local restaurants… but Skinners Seafood Market was a hit!! I cooked fresh fish almost every night. We can’t wait to go back! Tip: be sure to get the majority of your groceries in Mobile. They do have some shops on the island but sometimes selection is limited. Overall… 5 stars ⭐️… highly recommend.

Great spot right on the sand of the beach! Comfortable and clean! This place is perfect for a really great beach getaway. The only minor problem was the freezer door is difficult to manage, but otherwise everything was really terrific.

This is our 20+ time on DI and we love it every year! The house was great! Perfect location, clean, set up well. We did run in to an issue with the dryer and AC and had some difficulty getting in touch with the owner (which I think was a simple oversight and really not a huge deal). Once we were able to get in touch, she was very receptive and worked on correcting the issues immediately! We would absolutely stay here again!

This is the second year in a row that we stayed at this property. Everything was just as we remembered. The million dollar view, all the great amenities, the communication with the owner, and the quit beach. The day we arrived, the stress was lifted and the relaxation began. We have truly found our place in paradise. And yes, we will be returning for a third year next year.

I rented this for a week of family fun with my kids and grandkids. It was well set up with everything we needed to function, relax, and fully enjoy. It had beach toys for the kids, chairs, pack and play crib, towels, cooking utensils, grill with charcoal, amd many other accessories to make the stay easy. The owner had great communication skills. This house was right on the ocean with our own little beach area. We will rent from this owner again for sure. Thank you!

This house is perfect. The location is perfect. Just steps from the gulf. The hose on the landing to rinse off before coming in the house was fabulous! Kept the sand down in the house. The house was very well stocked. We didn’t run into anything that we needed and didn’t have. Also the coffee pot does have a regular pot and a Keurig which was awesome. Crockpots, blenders, toaster…so helpful. Plenty of outdoor seating. We had 6 teens who all had a blast. We went out each night to catch crabs on the beach. Saw dolphins every day. Can’t say enough good. If you are looking for a relaxed, non-commercial vacation-this is it. And we highly recommend this house.

Beautiful property, perfect location!

An absolutely perfect home for our large family (mother, father and 6 little ones) with room to spare! The whole house is wonderfully equipped with any of the must-haves: from linens to kitchen needs to the very pleasant surprise high chair. The whole island seems quiet and laid back. We ate in every meal except one. Most restaurants, it seemed, were limited seating or carry out, come prepared for many a quiet night in. Exactly what we were hoping for! The living area is small but comfortable, ample dining seating and the master exterior door was so nice for containing our wet messes. We didn’t notice the upstairs hose until the last day, but that was helpful for a secondary literal hose down. The master bed was extremely comfortable! The children’s room does not have a fan, so if your kiddos are used to white nose or breeze, plan accordingly. We were able to utilize the extra rooms for naps. Some updates from past reviews- there are blackout curtains in the children’s bedroom, such a gift to parents of early risers! I’d go further to say the master could use them as well as the neighbors left a porch light on. One review mentioned no paper goods. While there were some there was just enough for one per room. I think the only negative comment any of us made all week was that we didn’t see ice trays and my husband loves his ice. It’s a lot of work taking little kids (all under 10) to the beach but this home was our very best experience ever! What a blessing!

This home is absolutely perfect for a family get away! The house was beautiful and had absolutely everything needed! Host was so attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this home!!

If you want to be on the beach this is the place. Big house, lots of room for everyone, great bedrooms all with a view. The few minor issues we had can be overlooked due to the incredible location. Hard to complain about little stuff when you're on the beach. We also spent a lot of time on the deck... a great place to watch for dauphins and chill. We ate most of our meals outside even when it was raining...which it did off-and-on for 3 days. Overall a good house in a quiet neighborhood.

We had a great week - enough space for each group to have their own room and bathroom, and comfortable common areas for larger gatherings. We cooked all but one meal here, and had all the supplies we needed. We spent most of our time on the deck or on the beach - great location! Will return!

I fished the surf every day and basically had to only walk out the door, take a few steps and I was at the water's edge!! If you are looking for a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle and commercialization found in most beach destinations, Dauphin Island is your place! One valuable tip that I will add is that you make it a point to stop in Mobile on your way in (if you're coming from that direction) and stock up on your week's groceries. The nearest grocery store, Greer's, is 19 miles away from the island. Trust me. It will be a big time and money saver if you do this! We look forward to returning to Dauphin Island in the future!
