Comfortable cabin. Convenient to The Caverns. Enjoyed the outdoor spaces.

Our family, a son, father to our granddaughter, granddaughter and the grandparent, the husband and I looked for a change of scenery for a painful birthday anniversary. Right away the 6 yo checked to see if her bunk bed room looked like the pictures, it did!! The full train set table and video game console just upped her excitement exponentially. Her dad had the ample master up on the second floor and we moved comfortably into the downstairs queen room and bath right off the kitchen. Decked out for Christmas made this home away from home very cozy. I read the stories of the Swanee angels and the Monteagle Assembly to my granddaughter and it was a great way to familiarize ourselves with the area. We had a chance to hike the fiery gizzard and explore the Assembly lookout which were right up our alley of activities we were hoping for. Overall, we loved Mountain thyme Cabin and will certainly consider coming back again.

Cabin was clean, nice furnitue, had three great porches with different views. Great firepit and grill. Pond and small dock. Convienient and scenic drive back to downtown Monteagle for supplies. Everyone had a good time.

My wife and I had a wonderful great away at this fun hideaway close to Monteagle. Out from town but reasonably close to fun activities and restaurants. The cabin was spotless and Rachel was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Comfortable

My sister, brother-in-law, and nephew drove up from Florida and our family of five drove down from Kansas City to meet halfway in Tennessee. We had an absolutely wonderful time from beginning to end. The cabin was equipped with everything we could possible need and the owner, Rachel, was incredibly accommodating and responsive if we had any questions. Our only complaint was that the week went by just too quickly.

This entire property was beyond amazing from the pier to the porches to the loft...literally the only negative thing about the entire place was maybe that the floors creaked? (Even the creaking floor added to the ambience)

We loved everything about the property. The location was great, the cabin also had all the amenities. The paddle boat and fire pit area was a real treat. We’ll definitely be staying there again in the future.

We meet my in laws there and spend a week just hanging out. Fishing from the pond. Paddle boating. Our puppy loves that she can run from the cabin to the deck with kids. It feels secluded despite being a few minutes from anything you need.

This is our second time in this cabin. It’s clean, cozy and in a great location. Mountain Thyme is in close proximity to beautiful hikes and The University of The South. Great porches and fire pit area for playing games or relaxing with family and friends. We will definitely visit again. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our fifth stay at this cabin. Close to the University of the South and many hiking trails it is well stocked with everything needed. The lovely porches are great for enjoying the peaceful setting. We'll be back soon.

Lovely cabin with all needed amenities, including a stocked pond and paddle boat. Our kids enjoyed the property and we all loved the fire pit in the evenings. The comfortable beds were an added plus! Overall highly recommend!

We had a very relaxing time during our week at Monteagle. The cabin was well positioned to enjoy a variety of activities and well equipped for our needs. Would highly recommend this location and cabin.

The cabin is great! A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. My 3 kids loved the paddle boat and enjoyed fishing and s’mores by the fire. The wi-fi is strong and the kitchen has anything you would need. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is definitely a spot we would love to visit again when we need a break from the city!

The cabin is so nice! It is very private- and the few houses that are nearby are nice and well maintained. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and the porches are just perfect. We will be back for more family get aways.

My wife and I and a few friend stayed at Mt Thyme in mid-November to attend a couple concerts at The Caverns. We all loved the cabin and the surrounding area is beautiful. Great location with multiple waterfalls, hiking trails and lakes in the immediate area. The cabin was nicely furnished and extremely clean. I would highly recommend Mt Thyme for any group for a family trip or trip with friends.

Lovely property and area-right amount of rustic and functional. Appreciate the pet friendliness of the owners/management, although the idea that cats and dogs will not jump on furniture is laughable. One caveat: the rules about guest cleanup are a bit over the top given the cleaning fees already built in to the structure. If the owners want the guests to launder everything and leave no dirty dishes in the dishwasher, it kind of makes it hard to achieve the purpose of getting out by 11 am, and makes one wonder what exactly professional cleaning is doing.

Went wit our grandkids. We felt they were safe on the property. Lots of hiking in the area. Played games with the kids. Bonfire everynight. Short on a few supplies this time like lighter fluid and matches. Overall, had a great time and cabin was a winner for our second time there.

The place was excellent! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great it had everything I needed to cook a nice big meal . I would highly recommend this place to anyone ! ❤️

Fabulous house! Very comfortable and relaxing

Charming log house in a tranquil setting. Wonderful porches on lower and upper level— perfect for morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. Very clean and well stocked.

This property description is accurate and complete. We found the excellent inside amenities were everything we needed. The property is set up nicely for pets as well. Our two big fellows loved playing in the yard, the woods and the pond. There is a convenient hose and concrete entry area to clean them up before they came in for the evening, and the washer/dryer kept our dog towels ready to go for the next day. We would not hesitate to recommend this cabin and this area to friends.

Close enough to Nashville and Chattanooga yet far enough to enjoy the peaceful of the woods. Lots of natural attractions like water falls and caves within a hour drive. Even checked out Ruby falls and the Nashville zoo both had their own history on how they got started.

Our family of eight people (5 adults and 3 children) had a wonderful time. Beautiful cabin, big yard for kids to play in, paddle boat in the pond is fun for kids, lakes near by for swimming and boating, hiking available as well. Cave exploration close by and loads of fun! A gas grill at the cabin would be a great addition. The top bunk beds are really close to the ceiling, the beds in the main bedroom and guest room are super comfy! A great time had by all!

We had a great time at this Cabin! It was perfect for our 6 adults. We enjoyed all of the amenities (fishing in the pond, fire in the fire pit, multiple porches). We had a lot of rain and even a tornado warning but were able to stay dry on the comfortable porches while waiting out the storm. Everything we needed, close to town and the Caverns. Amazing waterfall hikes at Fiery Gizzard. Very clean and well appointed. Zero pet smell. Accommodated our son to stay a little later to finish a school presentation before heading back to UT. We will be back!

There were multiple places for adults and teens to attend to their work/school commitments or snuggle up for a quiet conversation. The dogs couldn't have been happier, either.
