Great property, big living space, full kitchen, easy access to beach and great view! Thanks for letting us stay!

This condo is nicely situated on a less busy part of Gulf Drive and within walking distance of the grocery store, ACE hardware store, Dollar Store, and cafes. We loved the proximity to the beautiful beach, and the beach closet with wagon, chairs, and beach umbrella. The condo also offered beach towels and a fully stocked kitchen. The king bed in the master bedroom was comfortable, and the master bedroom was well-lighted with shades that could be pulled up or down and with access to the lanai. The second bedroom also had a lanai that was flooded with the morning sun. Perfect for enjoying one's morning coffee and a book. Less accessible in the second bedroom were the plugs for cell phones and other electronic gadgets. The property manager was super responsive to our needs. The view of the Gulf was nice, but somewhat obstructed by heavy wires that crisscross it and metal window frames that tend to interrupt the view. This was somewhat compensated by the pair of mourning doves that sat and courted on the wires. The smart TV was oh so slow when you wanted to move from network or cable TV to apps like Amazon Prime or Netflix, but one's patience would finally be rewarded. And, lastly, although the City of Holmes Beach has Recycling pick-up on Tuesdays, there is no recycling at this condo complex. Since recycling is important to me, with permission, I deposited my recycling in the neighbor's bin across 34th Street. Overall, I highly recommend this property on lovely Anna Maria Island.

Beautiful, clean unit in the best area of Holmes Beach. Close to the beach and the shopping center and grocery. Unit is perfect for families and even had a high chair to use. Nice dining table that seats six and plenty of seating to watch movies in the evening. Would return without hesitation. Decorated with great artwork from local artists.

We loved our stay! The location is super close to the beach with a short walk to Walgreens, restaurants and Publix.

The condo was average. Needs work. Master shower door missing( had one door and a curtain over missing), ceiling in dining room buckled, chair in kitchen cushion taped together, entry door filthy on inside. The bedrooms were very nice and master bed very comfortable. It appeared this property just received a facelift but needs structural work and many updates. The storage area was nice and we appreciated the use of beach chairs and wagon. Pool area and pool were not cleaned much. Out door areas could use attention. Sorry for the disappointing review. We have stayed at many VRBO properties and have always been very pleased except this time

We loved our stay! Very well stocked condo from kitchen to beach accessories! Loved having everything there and wagons to transport it to the beach! Close to Walgreens, Dollar Store and Publix for anything you may need along with souvenir stores and a couple great restaurants. We even walked the beach down to Manatee Beach to grab food and brought back for a picnic on the beach to watch the sunset! Great location if you're looking for a less crowded area! Hope to be back soon!

Large, comfortable, and in great location

The condo was great and met all our expectations. Short walk to the beach and coinvent to grocery store. Beds were excellent and comfortable. Couple of doors are sticking but it was just a minor inconvenience. Overall a great place to stay !

The condo is in a perfect location on the beach and near to the beach cafe. Easy to find and well loved and looked after accommodation - really felt like a home from home. Would love to stay in this property again if we visit Anna Maria Island again.

We loved the property and the location is perfect. We would love to stay again in December 2021. Beach access is awesome, we couldn’t be happier. Owners were awesome in communicating with us.

Wonderful location, close to beach.

The property owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Check in was easy and the property was clean and had everything we needed for a week away from home. We loved the roof top view and the easy access to the beach with no roads to cross especially with a two year old. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful unit! Clean, close to the beach, well-appointed. Couldn’t ask for more! Our dealings with the owners were great. They refunded our money for our spring visit that was cancelled due to the pandemic. We rebooked for the fall, and we were so happy we did. We’ll be back!

From the planning stages of our vacation Kim was extremely helpful. You feel at home entering this perfectly located property. Condo is steps from the beach, roof top deck, pool, and within walking distance to Walgreens, Holy Cow Creamery, and other shops. The kitchen is well stocked and included dish soap, hand soap, and scrub brush. Tenants will need to bring bath soap and laundry detergent. The master bed lived up to the other reviews’ hype. Our family voted this vacation the best of the best (beating out Disney). Thanks for sharing your home away from home with our family.

Absolute zero complaints about this condo! Very accommodating and clean! Updated and spacious. Master bedroom bed was amazingly comfortable which is a huge deal when stay for two weeks (or even 1 wk). So close to the beach! We were there for Christmas and Santa came, we also rang in the New Year!! Loads of great memories were made! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed the first week in December and had fantastic weather. It was a great time to go because the beach wasn’t crowded and the lines at restaurants were nonexistent. The unit was comfortable, especially the bed in the master! The proximity to the beach was perfect and having all the beach necessities available (chairs, floats, umbrellas and games) as well as a sturdy cart to transport everything was very nice! Sadly, we realized how close we were to the Dollar Store *after* we spent a ton at Publix. We recommend going there first for small things like condiments, books, and some food stuffs as well as trash bags, laundry detergent, and shower necessities (those things are not provided, which we didn’t know). With this unit on the top floor, we did hear the rooftop furniture blowing across the roof when it was extremely windy. We enjoyed it for the sunsets, though! We had the entire building to ourselves for the majority of our stay, and it was very peaceful. The location is great since it’s so close to Publix, cafes, and a Dunkin Donuts all within a very short walk. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were plenty of towels and blankets and there was really nothing we felt was missing (other than trash bags, laundry detergent and soap for the shower.) We weren’t quite clear whether we needed to take the trash cans to the road or if the truck drove down the road to where the cans are. All of the instructions for what to do at checkin and out were clear and the book full of restaurants, activities and emergency contact info was a great resource. Great unit in a great location!

Just a very short walk to the ocean

This is our second time staying at Kim and Joe's condo, and it was lovely. If I had to complain, it would only be that the Moulin Rouge puzzle in the room is short 3 pieces, ha! The master bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and always ask my husband to buy a bed like that one! Do yourself a favor and visit this beautiful place right on the beach! Major plus that the foliage had been cut back sometime since our last stay, and you can now see the ocean from the lanai.

Great location, nice property, highly recommend

We love coming to AMI every summer for our family vacation! Kim and Joe's unit at Gulf Place was exactly as pictured, spacious, clean and a very short distance to the beach! On the ocean side with easy access to the beach! Easy, covered parking beneath units. Roof top deck had wonderful view of the gulf and a great spot to sit and eat breakfast or watch the sunset! We loved our stay and hope to be back next year!!!!

Everything about our stay was just perfect. This condo has absolutely everything you need to spend the perfect week in AMI. It is very clean, cozy and beautifully decorated -esp with the owner's own paintings of local spots!. There is a storage shed with all the beach necessities which was unbelievable. The kitchen is fully stocked in case you want to eat in and the linen closet is packed with plenty of towels so you don't need to do laundry every day even though there is a washer and dryer right in the unit! This is a 2nd floor unit so you do need to be able to get to the 2nd floor via steps. The 3rd floor is a very cool rooftop deck with loungers and chairs which is shared. Depending on the other tenants, it can get noisy when children run around the roof, drag the furniture around etc. Same with the pool, but our interest was more about the beach. The beach is literally steps out the door - No streets to cross and viewable from the decks. How wonderful to be able to wake up and actually see (and hear) the beautiful ocean! From surf to door it may have been 2-3 minutes top. We felt very conformable letting our tweens go to the beach to play paddle ball etc while we prepared meals or relaxed inside. The beach was very peaceful and private. The public beach is only about 1/4 mile walk down the beach where you can grab some food or drinks at the tiki bar right on the beach. This is a place did not disappoint. The featured pictures are spot on and we would definitely consider staying here again!

Great location! Great place!

This place was cozy just like home and very conveniently located. Quick walk to grocery store, several other shops, and the trolley stop. Also located in a rather quiet area which was great. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything u could think of needing including anything needed to take to the beach. I loved the 2 lineas, u could watch the sunrise from one side of the condo and the sunset from the other. The rooftop deck was great! Such a beautiful view all around. The short walk to the beach was great and the beach itself was very nice! Clean and not crowded. We had a great relaxing time and I would definitely return. Loved it!!!

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. Beds were really comfy as well. The biggest complaint I had was when it rained hard, the driveway held water all day. Probably ankle deep. A drain in the drive would’ve been super helpful for going back and forth to the beach. The pool could’ve been better maintained. I personally got the net and got the debree out every day that we used it. Just a minor issue. Other than that, fantastic location and beautiful. LOVE Anna Maria Island and will return!

Super location, with a very inviting feel inside. The island is busting at the seams with charm. We had a great time and will return in the future.
