We love staying at SHOREWOOD; it’s central to everything we want.

Three of us (me and my 2 grown daughters) stayed in the Shorewood complex 2 years ago and this unit was laid out identically to that one but we liked the bedroom arrangement better. As with all VRBO properties (many over the years) the furnishings and appliances are very tired. One of my biggest complaints in my experience is the lack of TV instructions AND when there are 4 different combinations throughout the property it gets frustrating if there are no instructions on the remote controls. VACASA did provide instructions about recycling (which is also often a question in other properties). The king bed upstairs is hard as a rock and there is an overabundance of pillows in all of the bedrooms but no pillow cases - that was kinda odd. More kitchen linens (including potholders) would be nice. They advertise "ice maker". Um, not so much. BUY a small bag until you figure out what you need. The kitchen was adequate for our culinary needs; we have had better and we have had worse. We traded off cooking dinners for 4 nights and ate out nearby the other 3 nightVACASA provides laundry pods and dishwasher things and liquid soap as well as soaps and shampoo/conditioner in all three bathrooms. The description of the bathrooms on VRBO also stated that there was tub shower combos in all of the baths but the reality is there is only one tub which is fine for us. Location is the best and overall a good value. VACASA very responsive to minor issues. That's all I have room for!

We enjoyed the location to the pool and beach, walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Upon arrival to the condo, we made many attempts to enter and our code failed and the battery was failing. After contacting multiple people including Vacasa in person and 2 others on the phone, a locksmith was called and got us in at 10:30 PM five hours after arrival. The upstairs ac struggled to keep the air cool. After a tech came and changed the very dirty filters it improved some but was never 100% during our stay. We did discuss compensation multiple times, but no one gave me a number or got back with me at all about it.

Overall good experience. Place was as described and very clean. Could use some cosmetic and appliance updates, but not a deal breaker. Plenty of room and great for our multigenerational family. Spiral staircase could be a problem for some folks. Close to beach and great pool area. Walking distance to Coligny.

The layout and sleeping accommodations were perfect for our family vacation. Convenient to pool and beach. Kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils. Plenty of bath towels were supplied.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Shorewood condo. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The pool and beach were lovely and well maintained.

Definitely exactly what we were hoping for . This 3 bedroom 3 bath gave our family of 6 Adults and 4 children under 2 plenty of space . Upon getting settled in a few things needed addressed some immediately and a few cosmetic things that did not effect our stay. I received a text from the property manager asking if everything was satisfactory. I addressed our immediate needs and was pleasantly surprised to have the immediate needs addressed the next day which was a Sunday . 😀 The location was awesome the grounds were well taken care of. We will definitely be back ASAP!

We have stayed at this condo many times. It's nothing fancy but has everything you need to enjoy Hilton Head. Great location. We have stayed at Shorewood complex for 24 or 25 years in a row.

We stayed in Shorewood 422 and it was the perfect space for us, 3 bedroom all 3 with en suite bathrooms. Spacious living area and kitchen. It was all tidy enough and the deck/patios were great. It is far enough from the pool that you don't get the noise but close enough to easily view pool and ocean and a quick minute to access via walking. The only reason I didn't rate a 5 star is because it was impossible to get a response from the host, I had a handful of outstanding questions prior to our arrival that went unanswered. Each time I sent a message I would get an automated response re-confirming our booking and directing to the site for details, of course, if it had the details on the questions I was asking I wouldn't have asked them. I found myself in a continuous loop of automated messages and reaching out to no avail.

We loved the location of this rental property. We could see the pool, ocean, and sunrise from our balcony. We were within walking distance of Coligny Beach and Coligny Plaza. Coligny Plaza has everything you want/need for a HHI visit! Such fun shopping and great eateries. The property itself was fine. In reading previous reviews, it sounded more outdated than how it really presents. Yes, the carpets could be replaced, but overall, the accommodations were adequate and just what we needed - we were hardly there anyway! I liked that each bedroom had a private TV and bath - so everyone could retreat to their own private space as needed. What I will say is that I don't know if the Management Company is doing the owner any favors. The house could have been cleaner at check-in (there were some food items still remaining under the table in the master bedroom). We also had a full dishwasher to unload upon check-in. We arrived late - and check-in was VERY easy, as was check-out. Everything was in working order, and we didn't need to communicate with either the owner or the Management group. The location was so fabulous that we would easily rent again.

We loved the location of this condo. It was very close to all the shops and restaurants at Coligny Plaza, and was very close to the private beach. We enjoyed the seasonally heated swimming pool, rented bikes across the street, and enjoyed the Tiki Hut several afternoons. The unit itself was spacious and comfortable, though could use some updating.

Needs some major improvements. 1. The upstairs A/C did not work when we got there on Saturday. There is a post card on the wall saying to keep the bedroom doors shut so they will cool. Sunday was no better even with doors shut. 84* in the bedroom had to sleep downstairs on the sofa. Monday called Vacasa to report problem, no response to message left. We went and bought fans to blow cool air upstairs. Checked the air filters and they hadn't been changed since Nov. 2020. Good thing there's no airborne virus going around huh? They were so clogged and nasty we removed them. I have pictures I will share. HVAC tech finally came on Tuesday and got units running and replaced the filters. 2. The refrigerator constantly drips water out of the freezer down onto all your food in the fridge. Another postcard saying to remember to close the door real good. Zero followup from the property manager after issues. No apology or offer of a refund for three days with no A/C. 3. There is a rug by the the patio doors that has been taped down poorly. It sticks up about two inches on the corner and my 2 and 3 year old grand-daughters were constantly tripping over it. It's right beside the TV and sitting area. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Don't waste your money.

This home is at a great location however, it was so dirty and old. Pictures make it seem like its in great condition but it is not. There were dead bugs, a screen door hanging from the 2nd floor, leaking fridge, doors did not open and close, 4 broken chairs, and the manager was rude when we had concerns. Please remember we are coming for a vacation, and stress-free. The home was so unpleasant that we did not have a good vacation. When you receive feedback, acknowledge your faults, do not be rude. I don't know if others will see this but please be transparent. Thank you.

Great location with pool and easy beach access. We had 8 ppl in our group and it was a good amount of space for our needs. Our flight arrived early and Vacasa would not allow access to the condo until 4. Excuse being given that it was being cleaned however, we never saw any cleaning happening when we arrived at 1. Overall, cleanliness was a B-. Rugs did not appear vacuumed and sheets did not appear to be cleaned as they had mascara smudges on the pillow case. Be prepared to shop for toilet paper as this quickly ran out and there weren’t any extra rolls. Screen on one of the bedroom sliding glass doors was not properly fit and hanging from the track. A few patio chairs were ripped and unusable.

Our family and couple friends stayed in this place for our first HHI trip. We all enjoyed the stay. The house is nice, clean and very spacious with most things provided. Beautiful swimming pool/ocean view from the 2nd floor balcony. The short 5 mins walking to the beach is a plus! We all enjoyed it very much! I would rate 5 but like to leave room for some improvements such as: few light bulbs were out; missing oven mitts; missing extra trash bags, etc. Overall it’s a great place to stay and very close to all the attractions, shops and restaurants. We loved the location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants the Frosty Frog and the Tiki Hut! The pool and hot tube are great!

Could not ask for a better location...walk to the beach - 5 minutes if you walk slow! Only downside is the home is showing its age as the fixtures (broken fan in upstairs bedroom), furniture and beds could be updated. Would I rent again - yes.

The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. Everything else was good as usual. We’d like to see Vacasa follow through better on their promise of increased cleaning standards.

We were extremely happy with our condo this week and had a great time! The only issue at all was that we were emailed the wrong gate code upon arrival so had to text our friends who were also staying there but that was not a big deal. Everything else was excellent!

Condo super spacious for our party of 8! The kids loved their oversized room with the queen beds...comfy kings for the adults! Spacious living area for family game night after all day at beach and biking! Love HHI, we have stayed at Shorewood before and will do again! Great property fantastic location!

This condo was exactly as described and better! We brought several teenagers with us, and the layout was perfect! The two very large upstairs bedrooms were just the right size for our children, and the downstairs bedroom was large with plenty of storage. The view of the pool and and palm tees was beautiful, an you could even see the beach from one of the balconies. We are definitely coming back again. (My only negative was dealing with the people at the local Vacasa office and trying to contact Vacasa before our trip).

The condo was comfortable and being within walking distance of the beach and pool was very convenient.
