The location is beautiful. Lovely house. Power outages are a reality on Eleuthera and also No seeums but it did not detract from the beauty.

We were a family with two young adults and a couple friends. The house has two bedrooms with spacious closets and a separate large master suite with a spacious closet, a sofa and TV/DVD. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook, there is even a good selection of spices. A toaster and coffee maker are available, as well as a kettle for tea water, which you heat on the stove. The house is surrounded by a large garden and a terrace and furnished with comfortable furniture. We would have liked to sit outside in the evenings, but unfortunately this is hardly possible due to mosquitoes. Under the terrace is a room with washing machine and dryer. Also swimming accessories can be found there, among other things. The entrance to the water next to the house is no problem when the waves are not too high, the water is about 2.50 m deep there. Once we had problems with the air conditioning, the contact to Jennifer was possible at any time, so she made sure that Lisa on site immediately took care of the repair. Jennifer was always available in advance, as well as during our stay and provided us with the necessary information. We can say we also fell in love with the house and the island, the people here are just great! We thank you for everything.

The house was perfect for us. Great location and very clean. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and Lisa ( one of the custodians) was just a joy to work with. We will be back for sure

The house was so cute, clean and nicely decorated. Nice balcony overlooking the water. The pics on the add pretty accurately depict the water. It is rocky and a little scary to think of entering the water there at first. During low tide when we could actually see the rock formation, we decided we would be ok entering there. If it is super windy and rough, it may be a little iffy. The "man made steps" were a good plan. We snorkeled there some and the ladder was useful getting out. We did encounter several smaller jellyfish. No stings though. Used the gas grill a couple of times. The back burner didn't work, but there were just 2 of us so we easily made it ok. The host was super reliable with communication and prompt. I feel like the price was fair for the stay. I did notice the fire extinguisher was not charged (Im a flight attendant and innately notice these things! I notified her and she said she would check into getting it charged. Not sure if that has happened or not. I would stay here again. The only thing that may make me want to go somewhere else is that I love to walk out of my door and be able to go for a stroll on a sandy beach in the mornings. There are sandy beaches close by, but you would need to take a short drive to get there. Rainbow Bay Beach was the closest and one of our favorites! We did have some issues with the no see ums and/or some sand fleas in the evenings while sitting on the deck. Really enjoyed the place all in all!

Great location central to all. Well furnished home with everything we needed. Water pressure was low but expected from a cistern. AC kept the house cool and comfortable.

Amazing views and perfect house for our family of five. Has all of the essentials that you could need or want. Close to lots of activities and restaurants. Rainbow beach is incredible. And the host could not be more wonderful. So grateful they’ve had the opportunity to stay.

Jump into the ocean right from the house and snorkel some coral structures where you can see tropical fish. The location was ideal to explore all sides of the island. Our host was incredibly responsive and her local caretaker, Lisa, helped us out with a few needs during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Second time staying at Sunshine House and it’s just as I remember it. Nice little piece of Paradise on the Caribbean side of the island.

Wonderful waterfront home, close to beach, good location for exploring the North and South regions of the Island. Communicating with the host was quick and friendly. A perfectly relaxing vacation!!

Well cared for property with nice , modern amenities! Great location with “salt water” pool (ocean)! Enjoyed every minute of our stay here!

If I could give 6 stars out of 5, I would. Everything was not just as advertised, but better. Communication with the host was close to instant, everything we needed was in place at the amazing Sunshine House and we CANNOT wait to return! The island stole our hearts fully and completely and the Sunshine House was a big part of that. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We stayed at Sunshine House for the first 5 nights of our 8 night stay in Eleuthera. It was the perfect location for exploring the top half of the island. It was a beautiful and easy drive from Northern Eleuthera Airport. When we arrived at the house it was unlocked and ready for us to move in. Lisa, the caretaker, stopped by shortly after we arrived to check on us & she was so kind. The road is very quiet, so you just park on the side of the road, in front of the house. There is a plenty of outdoor/deck space to spread out and unwind. Pretty plants and trees and a little path that leads down to the water. There are rock stairs and a metal ladder to get down to the water, but we didn't get in b/c the water was pretty choppy the entire time. The constant sound of waves was so nice! The huge wrap around deck has really nice teak furniture, some adirondack chairs and two lounge chairs. Plus little string lights to put on at night. I read books out on the deck every night, and the stars were AMAZING. Two sets of double doors lead out the deck. The kitchen was fully stocked (coffee maker, french press, pots, pans, cutting boards, utensils, pitchers, microwave, dishwasher, ice trays, water dispenser, dish soap, etc). The only thing missing was a larger nonstick frying pan! Large dining room table, wicker living room furniture, shelves with books/bar glasses/maps, etc. Bedrooms were great - cozy beds and linens and ample closet space. The master bedroom is way bigger that it shows in the photos - king bed, dresser, ample closet space, plus a TV area with futon and plenty of board games and movies. Air conditioning worked great (four wall units) plus each room has ceiling fans and extra floor fans. Cozy beach towels were provided as well as extra snorkel gear, wetsuits, boogie boards, float noodles, beach chairs, etc. Washer and dryer underneath the deck. The kids loved running around in the yard. What was great about this house is the location -- very close to so many things. Rainbow Beach is so great (great snorkeling for adults and kids) and just a couple minutes away. Also close to Queen's Baths, The Cliffs, the Glass Window Bridge, great beaches (Secret Beach, Surfers Beach), Hatchet Bay, James Cistern, etc. Easy day trip to Spanish Wells from this location. We felt very safe at this house and Jennifer always got back to me right away when I emailed her beforehand. We would stay at this place again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a family of 4 or more.

The house was great. It had everything we needed and the views are spectacular. We had a last minute snafu with my husband's passport, so it unexpectedly turned into a girls trip. The owner went above and beyond to check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed. The island is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I just returned from a five night stay at Sunshine Cottage, a perfect beach house, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We especially loved the deck where we spent mornings watching the sunrise and evenings gazing at the stars. A couple of questions came up during our stay. Jennifer was always responsive by text as was Lisa, her local contact. We enjoyed dinner a couple of nights at the Rainbow Inn but saved the last night’s dinner for the Front Porch in Hatchet Bay which was a real treat. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation in a magical place.

Having never been to Eleuthera, I peppered Jennifer with questions. She always responded with thorough, helpful information. The house was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well- stocked, the beach towels were great. She even has a padded cooler bag which was great for our excursions. The view is truly spectacular and we were able to hop in the water in front of her house and do some snorkeling. It’s location is great- close to the Big Rock store, liquor store, Rainbow Cay and the excellent Front Porch restaurant. Thank you!

We truly enjoyed our stay Sunshine House. The location is top, only a few steps on private grounds to the sea, with great views at all times. Actually we could see the the sunrise AND the sunset from the house, which we felt was spectacular. The place is quiet, cars pass by only rarely. The distance to beautiful Rainbow Bay beach is less than a mile, 3 minutes by car or relaxed 20 minutes on foot. The house itself is not new, but well kept. It offers space for up to 6 persons - tasteful and comfortable furniture, beds and seating; good and wide ranging cooking equipment, utensils, dishes etc. There is also a cayak. The internet WLAN works well for checking mails and news. The communication with Jennifer throughout the booking process and travel preparation was fast and informative; on location, the caretaker Lisa was always reachable and helpful. Overall we had a very pleasant and highly memorable stay and can absolutely recommend Sunshine House!

Our stay could not have been better at the Sunshine House. This was our first visit to Eleuthera; the house is in a perfect location for exploring the central region of the Island. The house setting is fantastic; its south exposure offers panoramic views of the Caribbean with amazing sunrises and sunsets from the well-appointed deck and waterfront. The house is well-equipped, nicely decorated, and spotless, with very comfortable furnishings. The carved stone stairs to the water provide easy access for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking and is a comfy spot for seaside morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. We met Jennifer, as we had an overlapping departure and arrival day; our conversation about the house and the area was wonderful, welcoming us not as guests but as longtime friends who would invite us to their home. We are dreaming of our memorable time here and will plan on a future stay at the Sunshine House and in this beautiful area of Eleuthera.

We stayed at Sunshine House to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was nothing short of fabulous! Everything about the house and property were amazing. We had views of both the sunrise and sunset and they were spectacular. Rainbow Beach, which is right down the street, was the perfect escape to the beach of calm Caribbean waters. We loved everything about Eleuthera and hope to go back one day and will definitely book Sunshine House again.

The house had everything we needed for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We were a party of two, but there is plenty of room for a bigger group or family. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining/living area is roomy with a great view and the master bedroom suite is large and comfortable. The back patio is perfect for sunset drinks and the steps into the water are very easy to use whenever you want to go for a swim.

I've stayed in a couple VRBO's on Eleuthera in Rainbow and this house takes the cake. On slow days, I was able to jump off the ledge to snorkel and could easily get out with the steps. The beds were clean and super comfy. AC units in each room was an awesome bonus. I always have lots of questions, and the owner replied everytime almost immediately. Coffee sunrises and beer sunsets on the patio were the highlight of the stay. Already planning our next stay.

Host was wonderful! She answered all of our questions, which was a big comfort heading into another country. Her cottage is clean and the caretaker was very attentive.

Every description of the property was accurate. Internet was spotty at times.

We were mesmerized by the view from the living room and master bedroom. We enjoyed sitting outside both day and night, as well as watching the different moods of the sea. We loved Rainbow Bay beach and paddling around in the kayak. We drove to many other beaches, but our favorite was still Rainbow Bay. This was our first time in the Bahamas/Eleuthera, so there was a pretty big learning curve (hours of operation for grocery stores, gas stations, etc.) We cooked a few meals and were able to find the equipment we needed. Although it was just my husband and I, the house would certainly accommodate 4 more people easily. Maybe more if children. Everything was very clean. I will caution that the stairs leading down to the house are a little concerning for anyone with mobility issues. I have had several knee surgeries, and I would have appreciated a handrail for security. We enjoyed a boat excursion with Captain Ruben at Tyman Charters, visits to the Island Farm, and dinners at Buccaneer Club, Tippy's, and amazing stone crab at the Front Porch.

Amazing view in an ideal location to explore both the north and south central part of the island. The house was very clean with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. Having Rainbow Bay beach within walking distance is a huge plus. The only issue that was not top notch was the internet which was very spotty.
