Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage, great views, great host, well equipped cottage.

We have rented many places through VRBO and this was by far the nicest experience. The pictures on the web site really do not do the accommodations justice and the property that the home is on is stunning. However what really sets this rental apart is Paul the owner. All communications with him were excellent and he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Would not hesitate to recommend this place and we will certainly be back in the future.

We really enjoyed the property. One of the very few places we stayed at that has a soul. The view is beautiful, the building is a piece of art and Paul, the owner, is very welcoming and has lots of great stories yk tell about the place. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic property right on the ocean. The cabin has great wood beams and being on the ocean we loved having the ocean breeze through the patio doors. Really quiet but close to the highway to be able to enjoy parksville and surrounding areas. We will be back.

this was a wonderfully relaxing time. the cabin is so unique and well appointed with all you could need. the grounds were so pretty and the location was very central. we enjoyed the views from sunrise to sunset and slept the night away in a very comfortable bed while watching the stars overhead. thank you again paul and catherine for sharing your home with us.

This guesthouse is a very special place to stay. Owners are fantastic, the suite exceeded our expectations and the property is secluded and peaceful. Highly recommend! Check out Moorecroft regional park which is nearby plus Rathtrevor is within walking distance along the water front.

All I was looking for and more, I will definitely go back and soon I hope. The hosts were so kind and the place was as posted and surprisingly even better. Location is great. View is amazing. ten out of ten, Ill be back! Perfect for couples or a single persons get away.

What a wonderful property and a great location right on the beach. The grounds are fantastic and there is ample space outdoors and easy to access the beach. The premises are amazing and the story behind the construction is something else! Very well equipped kitchen and great fireplace. The bedroom is very nice and spacious. It could use some side tables and bedside lamps but thats a small thing. Thanks for your hospitality Paul and the lovely bottle of wine! Will definitely recommend to our friends!

We felt at home, and relaxed right away and were able to decompress, read, hang and chill. Grounds are spectacular and location is close to recreation, provisions,,,, We cooked and ate in using the well appointed kitchen. Good A/V system, couches and chairs for reading, relaxing or enjoying the view. Owners are lovely and their care for the cottage and property shows. Well appointed and set up perfectly for a couple to enjoy. Have used VRBO many times, always a different place. This one we will come back to.

Spectacular, outstanding, surpassing our expectations. The cottage is an architectural gem. The setting is magnificent, a tranquil bay with majestic snow-capped mountains. A natural preserve in an historic setting. We’ll be back. The hosts were the best, warm and friendly. The very best.

Every detail is perfectly thought out at this cottage. Open the balcony doors and the gentle sea breeze sweeps through cottage. The location on the beach is excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit .

We stayed 5 nights at Flowers by the Sea cottage in Parksville. It was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, quiet, and stunning views. In low tide you can walk to Rathtrevor Beach. The cottage had everything you could want or need. Paul & Catherine were friendly, helpful, but gave us plenty of privacy and space. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful cottage on an exceptionally property, Paul and Catherine live next door in the main house on the same property but due to the size of the property we never felt on top of one another. My wife and I can't wait to go back, absolutely wonderful place.

"Flowers by the Sea" cottage provided us the best of 2 worlds... an awesome place to enjoy the sea & view the distant mountains, as well as gorgeous flower beds. The flowers were of many different types & colours. We loved the peace & quiet along with easy driving to local sights. The antiques inside the cottage were a special delight. We plan to return.

If you love open concept, massive timber frame, incredible views and friendly people there is no finer place to stay 😃

The cabin and property were absolutely beautiful! Nothing missed and everything you could possibly want for a luxury stay. The beach was incredible and the setting was so peaceful and perfect. Paul was so nice and wanted to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Currently we live in Calgary but we are from the Island and during this stay decided it was time to come home. Thank you Paul and Catherine for allowing us to stay and share in your perfect Vancouver Island dream home!!

The cabin is fully equipped for baking and cooking. Its much larger then the pictures posted. There is a king size bed and the living room is quite spacious. The grounds are delightful with lots of flowers, and the view to the ocean is intoxicating. A gem!
