The property is within easy walking distance to Belmont Park. The beach is just steps away which is great for the back and forth trips with young kids. Property provides everything a family needs to enjoy several days at the beach: bikes, boogie boards, surf birds, towels, beach chairs, shade umbrellas. Hearing the ocean from the bedroom made the stay that much more relaxing in the evenings.

The property was is in a great location steps from Mission Beach! Home is very well equipped and clean. We found the location to be 15-20 minutes from so many places we visited while we were in the San Diego area.

Our stay at the condo and coast was fantastic - and the location was perfect - 20 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go without going through high traffic areas (except the unavoidable airport). The weather exceeded our expectations and gave us the chance to enjoy the condo's location and amenities, which were as described. Lacy and Michael were incredibly responsive and helpful as minor questions arose. Thank you for a great week!

We stayed during the week of Christmas, arriving on Christmas day, Lacey was great and helped us get checked in even though it was a major holiday. The location is so much fun, walking distance to some great restaurants and the Belmont which has rides and an arcade. We had a very comfortable stay everything we needed was at the house!

If you want a vacation where everything you need is at the house this is it. The house came with everything needed for a great time at the beach - chairs, boogie boards, surf boards, bikes, etc. the kitchen was great and the location was perfect. Only thing missing was a deck with a view but given the beach was so close we hardly noticed. We gad a wonderful time!

Overall the property was clean however the carpet was extremely dirty/stained and there was a problem with ants. Especially in the downstairs bedroom. So much so that ants were in the bed and all over the night stand. Ant spray was available to combat the problem. Host stated that it was due to the moisture from the pending Hurricane (Hillary 8/2023) turned Tropical Storm, which also caused the ceiling to leak into light fixtures. This was somewhat concerning as it could have caused an electrical fire. The host must have been aware of this apparent on going issue because she provided instructions in advance of the leak occurring. View to the beach can be seen from the master bedroom window but not from the rooftop patio. We could not park in the garage due to all the bikes that were being stored, but the bikes came in handy the 1st night allowing us to take a nice bike ride on the pier and to a nearby property other family members were renting. Our host was very nice and when our flights were delayed due to the storm she allowed us to extend our checkout time.

This is an amazing place to stay at, close to the beach and the house is equipped with all your daily needs. Family with kids will love this place, you will feel like at home with tv in both rooms and also it has beach toys and bikes to use no need to bring any of that stuff with you. I’ll definitely stay again.

We had a great stay in Mission Beach. The listing was just as advertised with lots of nice touches (snacks, candy, coffee pods, plenty of dishwasher and laundry pods, beach towels, so many beach accessories, bikes, etc). When things came up the owners were very accessible and able to was help. We did have a larger vehicle so we were unable to park in the garage. Most days we had no trouble parking on a neighboring street, however during the holiday weekend it was a little difficult. The close proximity to the beach and being within walking distance to restaurants and Belmont Park were just what we were looking for.

Michael and Lacy were extremely accommodating, providing a clean and comfortable home away from home for our beach getaway. From the clear instructions provided for our stay to the items available to use at the beach, prime parking at the property/nearby, even the little touches like welcome snacks, shampoo/conditioner and body wash with new loofahs to use, it all contributed to a successful, relaxing family vacation this year. We can’t wait to come back again!

We loved the location!

This is a quintessential Mission Beach hangout. You are a one minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to Belmont Park. Easy driving to all SD activities. The apartment was well appointed. The only annoying thing was the water filter which when it turned on it was annoyingly loud for 5 - 10 minutes. And, it's important to note that to view the beach from the apartment you have to be standing in the master bedroom looking out over the bed or out on the communal balcony looking from a corner. Lastly, the second bedroom is really a kids' room. My two adult children found the beds to be very awkward and the room really too small for them. But... hey, you go to Mission Beach to hang out on the beach not your apartment. Great location for that.

The small touches at this property were huge! Having the beach supplies and bikes were fantastic for the kids! The owners have made the property extremely comfortable and clean. You really feel like you are coming back to a home while on vacation. The location was fantastic too. Lots of areas to walk to, right on the beach and short drives to San Diego and surrounding hot spots. I highly recommend staying here.

Lacy (and Michael) were so nice, calling to make sure everything was good and asking if there was anything at all we needed. Their place was as advertised, just a half block to the beach and easy access to downtown San Diego, La Jolla, and Liberty Station. I'd highly recommend their place for a trip to the beautiful city they live in.

The place is very clean and steps to the beach. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We were very impressed with this property. The location is AMAZING. We loved how close it is to the beach, boardwalk, shops, etc. The unit is very well stocked - exceeded our expectations. We really appreciated the outdoor equipment (beach towels, chairs, bikes, surfboards, wetsuit), having in unit washer and dryer, and a very well stocked kitchen. We loved the ocean view and peaceful sound from the master bedroom. The private deck was a wonderful outdoor space with the unit. Beds were comfortable. Owners very responsive and nice to work with. Quiet unit. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.

First of all, the owners of the property were amazing. They were prompt to respond to the reservation, stayed in contact periodically and had the information sent regarding codes, etc prior to arrival. We always felt like we could contact them about anything. Finding the actual house was a bit of a challenge (mostly because we are not used to that type of "cramped living"). That was a new experience for us. A recommendation would be to post a photo of the alley and the garage to help navigate. Previous reviewers of this property are not kidding when they say parking is tight. We had a full-size Hyundai Sonata car and did manage to park it in the garage with about 1" to spare. The passenger did get out prior to parking so we could park as close to one side as possible in order to get the driver door open. There is parking at the end of the block, but in our experience, it was always full when we returned home from exploring at night. So, we were grateful we were able to wedge our rental into the garage. The rental itself is cute & homey with plenty of beachy & personal touches. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessities; there was even a candy jar and a "snack tote" which we thought were fun. There were clear directions posted about what was expected at the home. We did notice right away the furniture was different than in the photos (upgraded) and the carpet could use a deep cleaning as there were several stains (the carpet is light in color, so the foot traffic area/path is darker from use). The master bedroom upstairs is cute with a comfy bed, full dresser and wall-mounted tv. A fun added bonus for us was the newly remodeled bathroom and the Bluetooth speaker vent in the bathroom! We had never seen that and used it every day! While we were at Mission Beach, the weather was pretty cool, so we were not able to enjoy the beach towels that were neatly stocked by the door, the paddle boards, wake boards or bikes that were available in the garage. That was a very nice feature to have at our disposal if needed. We did walk down to the Belmont Park (which is only about 1/4 mile from the property). Relaxing & fun park with rides, food and shopping. It was fun to go in the evening because it was all done up in Christmas lights and decorations! Overall, this is a very cute and conveniently located property. We would definitely stay here again and/or use these hosts.

Let's start with the positives Location was great, property amenities were ok, that's it!!! What turned us off First, we arrived late because of a delayed flight, the entry through the back gate from the garage was not accessible because the shared parking was occupied by the tenants below with two cars and did not leave any space for us to enter the gate. So we had to use the front gate which was very inconvenient considering the number of luggages we had for a long holiday. Second, we requested for additional dishwasher pods on our third day, and we were questioned why we needed them and we were compared to other tenants who used less. I had to justify the use of the dishwasher pods. With the cost we paid for a week stay in the property, it was very offending that it was even an issue. Third, the shared parking was not actually shared and the tenant below was given priority even if we parked there first, we were asked to move our car. It is impossible to park two cars in the shared parking space, which they insisted that it should be. The garage is very tiny, a family car will not fit. Fourth, on our last three days, we were told not to use the bathroom downstairs because of a leak on the property below us. We were 6 persons using only one bathroom in the last 3 days of our stay, which had an impact on our plans. When we go back to San Diego, we will definitely not stay here again!!!

Terrific location, clean and met all our expectations.

This property is well situated a block from the beach and within walking distance to Belmont Park. Amazing location. The kids especially loved the “kids room” and the bookshelf with kids books. Appreciated that all TVs had Prime and Disney+ for kids shows. Garage has beach toys, umbrellas, body boards, and a wagon! (The garage is quite small. Don’t plan to park your car there unless it’s a compact). There were small inconveniences that detracted from our stay: We battled fruit flies for the duration (this was prior to bringing any food into the unit). A number of spots could clearly use a good dusting. The washer dryer was nice to have but a mildew/sewage odor comes from the washer and makes it obvious that maintenance is in order. Safety issues: the electrical panel is hidden behind a loosely hung canvas picture on the second level of the kids room bunk. I don’t know how else to rearrange the room to avoid this hazard, but it prevented us from allowing our curious kids to use the upper bunk. A large dresser in the kids room is not fixed to the wall and could easily crush a child climbing to grab something off the top.

We had a fun week at this property. We visit Sand Diego every year and would definitely rent this property again!

Great spot, just a few steps from the sand. No need to rent a car with shopping and dining so close! The bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas were a great bonus!
