We had a great time! Seven adults, and we have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the property along with the outside patio. The Mississippi district was just down the road and offered tons of food and drink options all of which were very tasty! William Street was not too far away, and again, a multitude of places to go and have fun. Never felt at risk and people were very nice. The location of the house is perfect for waterfalls and great hiking. We really enjoyed ourselves and concluded we picked the right area to stay and enjoy Portland.

It was really nice! The basement was well furnished! The duel showed head on either side was really great! Close to so many great little locations. Would recommend to anyone staying in Portland.

We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo's over the years and this was one of the best! Very easy to get to, clear and easy check in. The kitchen was well stocked and they even had a bottle of wine and snacks for us. The house was VERY clean. We loved having the two living rooms, which allowed the younger of our crowd to stay up as late as they wanted! It is also with in easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and shopping. We are looking forward to going back sometime this summer :)

Our family had a great stay. Location was the perfect homebase for us to explore Portland and other areas of Oregon. House has everything you need, is comfortable and clean. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and easy access to other parts of the city.

Outstanding! Better than the pictures. Great location with food courts, bars, and restaurants near by. We rented both homes and it fit our 19 family members perfect.

The location was amazing. Walking distance to so many fun bars and restaurants. The house was updated and sparkling clean, and the host was communicative and responsive to any questions prior to and throughout our whole stay. It was perfect for our family of adult children, grand parents and Uncle.

My husband, son, and I really enjoyed our week staying in the Front Break bungalow. It was centrally located, making it easy to get to great meals as well as to our other son’s home in Beaverton. It was a quick walk for morning coffee at Albina Press or breakfast at Fried Egg I’m In Love. Many of our favorite Portland restaurants were a quick drive, including Bamboo Sushi, Por Que No, and Bollywood Theater. The house was very comfortable, and it was easy for the three of us to work remotely for a few days while we were there. Everything was very clean and well laid out. Six thumbs up on this rental!

Have stayed in many VRBO’s around the country. Loved this place, clean, funky but very functional., great location. Michelle extremely warm and responsive host. A hesitation though, constructive comment to Michelle. Many, like our family group, VRBO because we enjoy cooking (or want to save $ by doing so). Such care has been put into this place for guests, so we were very surprised the kitchen is equipped with only barest of tools for just the simplest sorts of food preparation (not as to appliances, all good and in fact above average re them).. Suggested fundamentals that were lacking: even a medium- (let alone large-) sized frying pan; coffee mugs that hold more than 6 oz.; measuring spoons set; oven broiler pan; even a medium (let alone large) stock/soup/pasta pot; scissors (not necessarily kitchen scissors, put could not find a pair of any sort anywhere in the house); a second (let alone third or fourth) serving platter; mixing bowls of even medium (let alone large) size; even just a few more than the one serving spoon we located. Again, the home is otherwise so well-equipped and -stocked for guests that this deficiency was discordant — as if perhaps prior guests may have “pilfered” these basics and that was not detected before our occupancy. Otherwise, until rectified or if you have no interest in cooking beyond mere basics, nothing but praise for this property.

The house was perfect for our stay! The welcome treats were a nice surprise! Clean and updated wonderfully. Enough room for everyone to spread out. So close to the cute neighborhood to walk to coffee and shops.

Conveniently located and spacious, the front part of the property was perfect for our group of 5, though the unit could easily fit more. Contactless check in and access made it easy to access, and the house was very clean when we got there. We had a few hiccups during our trip, but the hosts were extremely communicative and went above and beyond to help.

This was our second time staying at this home in the Mississippi District. It was perfect for our family, with the downstairs area giving our teen her own space. We love the modern decor, and there are so many great restaurants within walking distance. The owners are so responsive and kind. I highly recommend this rental!

We loved our stay at Front Break in the Mississippi District. The house was exactly as advertised and in a great location with many restaurants within walking distance. The added bonus was the house is totally updated and the new windows made the house super quiet. The home owners were very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again. The updated bungalow is thoughtfully decorated and well equipped . Attentive , responsive and considerate hosts really care that guests have a positive experience. We appreciated the delicious local treats that welcomed us. The neighborhood is hip with lots of cool restaurants, cafes and shops to explore. The bungalows reserved parking is in a small side parking lot and is very convenient. The owners have a larger vacation rental just in back of the bungalow that looks like an awesome stay as well. The peace and quiet or lack thereof in the front bungalow wholly depends on the people renting the larger back property.

We had a great time staying in this Portland rental home. We loved the modern, cheerful decor and all the natural light. The layout is great. Our teenager loved having her own space downstairs. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and we had everything we needed. The neighborhood is very walkable as well. We'll definitely be back!

Front Gear was perfect for my family of 6 adults and a toddler. The house was safe with no breakables to tempt a very energetic 18month old. I did serious baking in the kitchen for Easter. The beautiful stove and range was delightful! Our family tie to Portland is moving back to Texas, so this is our last yearly visit. We would certainly rebook if ever needed!

This house was perfect for a weekend in Portland! The location was in such a fun neighborhood and we were able to walk to a lot of places from the house. The house was super clean and had all the amenities we needed and more! I would highly recommend this house for anyone going to Portland!

The house is amazing, just like in the photos. There were three couples on a trip they earned from our office. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The weather was amazing too while we were there. We were walking distance to a lot of restaurants and some shops, which is why I picked this area.

This house was in a great place and walkable to so many shops and restaurants. The house itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. It fit our party nicely.

This house is beautiful! The floor plan was perfect for our family and the house has everything! Unfortunately we stopped in Portland during Covid so we didn’t really explore the neighborhood but could tell in its prime, when everything is open, it’s most likely an amazing street to be on. The house is located near the highway and we were able to get around town pretty easily.

We had a great time staying at the Front Break! We were two kids and four adults. There was plenty of room to take time apart and plenty of room for us to spend time together in the common space;. Due to weather, we were not able to enjoy all the great outdoor activities but can imagine in the summer, we would have spent most of time outdoors. The space was super clean, kitchen had everything we needed, and the house catered to kids more than any that I have seen. There was plenty of shops and restaurants near by and easily accessible to all areas of the city. We had a car and were happy to have a parking space but there was plenty of parking near by. Also, a bus right out front! I would definitely stay here again.
